Very detailed and insightful. May God help us in this struggle. |
I'm a committed and ardent follower of this thread. Please I need your guidance @nnamdiosu, charlyG1, analice, vooks, oyelude and others. First, I'm newly born in Christ (2 months plus) though fast growing by His grace. I know that there are a lot I need to learn, and so, I am committed to reading my Bible and asking older soldiers. The issue is this. My dad suddenly fell ill (stroke like) and cannot walk, plus slurred speech. Later, he was diagnosed to have a growth in his cerebellum, but before the result came out I prayed against surgery and when it came out, same was recommended. So I went back to Him who holds the key to life for I know that my dad won't go under a knife for he is healed already, spiritually. I prayed God that whenever I'm travelling to see him, I'll be travelling for Thanksgiving and not the otherwise. Yesterday, my mum called and said that he recorded "60 percent improvement" in her words. I spoke wth him, his speech was firm on phone. My spirit has been troubling me to go down to my village and conduct a prayer. Well, I have finally decided to do so, but I have some concerns. I have no companion, I will be going alone. What should I expect? Nobody, even my extended family, is currently in the village. I have never done a thing like this before and there are past revelations of buried charms and diabolism by a dead relative (who said i was her husband's reincarnate). I've already broken every link and prayed against any sought of covenant etc. Need I physically go down there? I am already in transit to my state to see my parents in the city. Not that I am afraid but I need insight and guidance from my "elders". Again, in my first week of prayer, I dreamt of when I was clearing grasses in the village and my dad was passing with a frnd. He greeted/discussed with me ( he was limping a bit). About five days ago, I had a dream when an old woman from my mum's side took me to the back of my g'mum's house and gave me black bag filled with gifts wrapped in black nylons. I kept it in the house, someone/smth instructed me to throw it away, which I did. I woke up into another level of dream and was telling my aunt of the dream. she started scolding me that I shouldn't have collected the bag. I told her to calm her nerves until she hears what I did last, then I woke up fully. I also dreamt yesterday of killing a centipede and saving a kid from falling off a cliff. Can someone help me also with the interpretation of any. Thanks. |
DeathStroke007:Catholic Bible? you must be kidding. The only difference found in Catholic Bible is the inclusion of deuterocanonicals in the old testament. What you wrote up there has no place in the Bible. Do your research well, and let your proof be based not on subjective postulations of some individuals. Can you tell me one moral justification or the rationale behind child/kid marriage. |
It may surprise you to know that many pastors leave their place of call to establish a ministry for these gains. They forget that pastoral call is a call to serve not to reap. As a pastor, you are meant to suffer for ur followers and strip yourself off all ostentatious lifestyle. Pastoral work is the hardest work ever, if we truly understand what is means to serve. You care for others and sacrifice for them... you serve and not to be celebrated and adorned with several accolades and titles. I know I have drifted from the topic. apologies. |
Please make sure you are not giving in to ur flesh. What the body yearns for is what the spirit despises. If the problem is on their doctrines and principles, then refer to your Bible for guidance praying the spirit for His help. Make sure you shun all youthful exuberance. Please listen to your mother. Many pray to have someone like her that will 'nag' them about spirituality. There will be a time she won't be there to nag you, all you will have then will be her memories and words, which then will turn to wisdom. |
Tnx for ur interpretations so far. I had a dream when I was carrying my sister's baby (that I love so much). I was kissing his back when he defecated on my palm. His feces was so sticky and slimy. Any helpful interpretation plz? |
Amberon:You missed the point entirely. Fasting is not total abstinence from food, though, it is the most preferred. Do you know that you can do fruit fasting for days, eating only fruits, the same with water? There is a type I do now, which is, from 6am to 12pm, no food or water, from 12pm to 6pm, I will take fruit of N50-N100 and water once. After 6pm, I'll have my normal dinner. Part of my reason is because of my health (ex-ulcer patient). Again, in my prayer group, whenever we go for camping, we usually engage in a type of fasting we call "bread and water" that lasts for three days. We only eat four slices of bread and one sachet of water by 8pm each day. On the 3rd day, we break the fast with rice, fruits etc. |
Jesus Christ did not come to condemn us. He came to teach love and salvation, encouraging us to have faith in God. |
It depends on your arrangement with God. Fasting is different forms. It is simply abstenance from what your flesh yearns for so as to be in the right mood for worship. There is no hard and fast rule, but try not to use that as a way to suppress hunger. That cld amount to hypocrisy |
Plz Eddyefe , I had a disturbing dream this morning. There is a very old woman in my maternal home (with great grand children) whose four of her five children are all dead now. We loved her so much, but now we are no longer close to her. In my dream, she took me to the back of my g'mum's house and told me that she had a gift for me. She asked if I would take all, or allow her to gv my maternal relations half. I thought the gift was cashew nuts, so I asked her to give me all, that since those my relations stay in the village, they could still go and get cashew for themselves from the bush. She brought out a full black nylon bag (the 10 naira type) with several things/goods wrapped in smaller black nylons in it. She gave me the bag which I collected and kept in our house. Something/somebody (I can't remember any face) started disturbing me that I shouldn't have collected the gift. I rushed back and threw the bag away to our backyard. I woke up from that dream into another state. I saw myself telling my aunt about the dream I had. She started blaming me for collecting the bag. I told her to stay calm and allow me finish the story first .... I finally, woke up. plz do U have a clue? |
Topestbilly:You are very right. If you check well, you will discover that the two heads have three fat zeros before one (1000), while the one head has two small zeros before one (1oo). |
Hahahahahaha, lalasticlala food is ready oooh. Let us confirm the op's assertion |
This question is too shallow. Do U pay tithe from borrowed money? I don't appreciate tithe conscious pastors. Jesus did not border to preach on that. He knew that the most important is salvation. He was the one giving out in spite of being the "High Priest". Real pastoral work is a call to service & sacrifice not a call to reap a harvest. |
People are not even spiritual on Sundays, they just look religious in the church. it's on Sunday that people commit more sin They get drunk, fornicate etc on Sundays. This is the height of hypocrisy, but should not distract you as a believer. |
Preach salvation that you are sure of and leave speculation that does no extra good than to weaken a struggling believer who may see heaven as beyond his reach, only to struggle to make purgatory by committing what you may call little sins. Salvation is once, no second chance after death. I'm a Catholic but I dnt accept all Catholic doctrine just because the church said we should. I am more concerned about what Christ/Bible says, and the things that are in tandem with the teachings of the Bible. Even if church is right, it is better to err on the side of caution. Church doesn't go to heaven, the individuals do. Salvation is so personal that your family, friends, church, priest etc won't stand by you on that day. |
The truth is that this kind if thing is likely to happen to any Christian who is not steadfast irrespective of ones spiritual height. Devil deceives a lot. Bible foretells it...be careful you who think you are standing lest you fall. |
Finally, he has proven himself beyond all reasonable doubts |
Wetin u wan make we do, as u hide the school name wey for make relevant authority take action. |
At least they gave you a place to lay. I wasn't given even a generator house to put my head. This is bad, something has to be done ASAP. |
kcowen:Poor reportage. That he removed psquare record group from his handle does not mean that he has "finally called it quit". There is a problem and we already know, but the above heading does not reflect the content |

arofemites:Honestly, you have a problem that deserves a serious attention. |
Dahveydson:Nwanne, I live in the northern part of the country, and I tell you for certain that the kind of putrid and despicable behaviour and attitude of some Igbos here, especially the ones that seek for recognition, is quite regrettable. Bad as it is, they put the good ones that are in the majority in a bad limelight. |
zuchyblink:Disintegrating simply because you were refused the installation of ur culture in another man's land. This is too shallow. One ought to learn how to live together with people of different interest and values, and accept differences without exerting ones notion of right and wrong on others who hold different opinion. Anybody that goes with this your mindset can hardly maintain a simple family because at some point, your wife or children may disagree with your opinion. |
I still maintain that this Eze in another man's land syndrome is a slight not just to the host community, but to the Igbos. It is not out of place for a people to unite as a group in a host community and elect a leader, but parading oneself as a king (with palace) seeking for recognition and respect is wrong. They should stop Igbo kingship outside the shores of Igboland. Believe me, they know nothing about Igbo tradition and values, but are bunch of unrefined greedy folks seeking personal aggrandizement with less regard to Igbo values. Very soon you will hear that one ezendigbo was caught doing so so and so. |
This should be set as JAMB question. "Trump's divisive politics: the tact of preying on people's sentiments to achieve a selfish end. Discuss." |

I seek to state this clearly to the distaste of anybody that finds it distasteful. Though I worship in Catholic Church (I have reasons I still identify with the church yet) but I know for sure that these are not right. 1. Use of images and sculptures. This is purely and entirety wrong. Exodus 20:4, In 2kings 18:4 the Moses' snake used by to bring healing upon the Israelites was destroyed when it was discovered that people have started worshipping it. Don't tell me that you pray tru...when you ascribe powers to it and bow to it. It's in dsame way that our forefathers prayed through stones, trees, sculptures to their gods which they believe manifest or could be reached out to through them, ascribing powers to them. 2. Mary's intercessionary role is just out of place. I don't know where this entered the church from. Jesus established a new covenant with us. Now we ask him directly. He made us worthy even in our unworthiness to reach out to him. So why should we keep him farther by establishing a long railroad of intercession. Read HEBREWS Chapter 9. 3. Again we don't have to ask saints or angels for help if we truly understand their position. Angels don't advice God, they don't intercede, that's not their job, rather, they are messengers. 4. Canonization of saints. Hmmmm. I can't just understand the place of this practice. Who are we to determine those that pleased God and are in heaven, and with whose standard? It's not just a thing for humans. 5. Infallibility of the Pope. I've said this several times. No human deserves the accolade of being infallible at all. Even Peter erred after receiving the Holy Spirit when he played double standard. Paul admitted his weakness and the power of grace in him. John was rebuked when he wanted to bow to an angel that delivered message to him. These show that even our first warriors had their weaknesses as humans. They never assumed the infallibility position. 6. Creating several prayers makes reaching out to God too mechanical. People just keep reciting words without connecting. Some don't even know how to pray to God in the spirit. Some don't know that they can talk to God while driving, walking etc. Can anybody correct me if I'm wrong. May God help us all. |
analice107:Preach the Gospel with love as Christ commanded, and don't be a crusader of hatred and divisiveness. For with that, we are no different from the heathens. Your love wins more soul than "death awaits you" kind of preaching. Preach Christ's love, preach his salvation, preach his forgiveness, preach his peace and you will see people draw to you. These should come first b4 condemnation, for he did not come to condemn sinners but to save them. How would a nonbeliever listen to you if you condemn and insult just like he does? I dont preach the gospel "to fulfill all righteousness", I do so because I love the unbelievers and want them to know Christ, who is the way, the truth and life. I may be wrong, plz correct me if I am. I know how bad you feel to see people wallow in ignorance, I feel worse. |
