That is drinking for a good cause. My spirit repulsed it because it makes me volatile, and I don't have any good reason to take it. I've seen where a doctor recommended a glass of wine per day to a heart patient, and that was absolutely right.

Let's see it this way.
1. By being self-righteous only, you won't make it. Romans 3:20 says that no one is justified by just obeying the law/doing good. Our justification comes by grace through faith. verse 22&24.
2. We should not neglect the assembly of believers. (advisory).
In as much as it is encouraged that we go to church and attend fellowships, it is not a condition to make heaven. In other words, that we missed a service does not mean we have sinned. Abraham was justified because he believed, (not his good work). Read the parable of the good Samaritan.
Somebody who neglected his sick neighbour whom he ought to take to the hospital as no other person is close by, simply because he is going to church, and returns to meet him dead has committed a sin.

You are wrong bro. all the foundational truth we need is in the Bible. And yes the Bible is complete. I know of so many other books and narrations that did not make it into the Bible, but what we have as a working instrument is the Bible which is by itself whole. Some of the books you are talking of are books written by some crafty fellows to smuggle some customs and doctrines from the other side into the church. Some are meant to perverse the word of God.
Everything we need to know/do to get saved is in the Bible. It's better to trust what you know than to believe in some people's subjective postulations in clear negation of the Bible. We use this issue of incompleteness to justify some doctrinal error and spiritual tangents.
It's even wrong to see a human, no matter the level of anointing, as infallible. Abraham, Moses, David, Peter, Paul were all fallible but justified by faith. Why then is infallibility associated with papal seat.

I believe you already know the answer to your question. Lustful thoughts and idle words are judged, let alone something that you typed and is read by thousands of people.

It is bad that these days, many Christian groups or churches are too mechanical in their teachings. They are so given to "does and don'ts" than worshiping God in Spirit. They want to fix everything under the law and excuse some of their weaknesses by it. That is why you hear many argue on whether masturbation, alcoholism, pornography, clubbing etc are sin. Now, many equate God's blessings with material wealth.
So many practices are being smuggled into the church daily, and people are so gullible that they swallow all the poisonous substances embellished with few Biblical truth to make it palatable, because you can only poison a dog with it's food.
So many of us are so weak to be on guard but so infallible to accept corrections. Any unteachable believer, cannot follow God.

You are concerned about what the pastor said, what about what God says.

Read what I wrote again. There is no contradiction in it. How do you measure drunkenness? You know that some drink to celebrate, some for health reasons, some to get high. What makes a man to take one glass of wine and request for another is not the Spirit of God, but the opposite. I may wish to take a glass of wine now if I have a good reason and that doesn't make me a sinner. Yet, alcoholism is generally discouraged because it makes our spirit feeble and impairs our mind. Look more on the effect than the act. The same Paul that discouraged alcoholism encouraged Timothy to take a little wine for his health. The message is: little quantity and good cause.

The old law on fornication/adultery was changed by Christ in Matthew 5:25. Now, looking at a woman lustfully is sinful.
The whole of new testament condemns fornication and adultery in entirety, except you are a Judaist.

This may be a little doctrinal tangent. My friend's father, a believer and a member of Deeper Life had a near stroke experience. During his healing process, he was asked by the doctor to be taking a glass of a particular (alcoholic) red wine daily, until he was fully healed. This is in tandem with the Biblical advise from Paul to Timothy to take a little wine for his health. It will be a bit extreme & erroneous to classify taking of alcohol a sin without more.

I desire that you might be filled with the knowledge of His will, in wisdom and spiritual understanding.
My issue is not on tithing but eating and doing whatever you soul lusteth for. You forgot that we are no longer practicing old testament. Christ CHANGED the old mode of worship and ways of reverencing God. Now we worship in truth and in Spirit (Jn 4:23). If you walk in the Spirit, you shall not obey the works of flesh and what it lusts for (Gal 5:16). Gluttony and drunkenness are part of works of flesh.

Not true. They punish them by stripping them off their ecclesiastical powers, ie. power to function as a priest. I know of one priest like that in my mum's village. He went to India (as story has it) and mixed his faith up with occultism. His congregation rejected him and stripped him off his privileges, yet he remains a priest because you can't "de-ordain" an ordained priest.

Taking of alcohol is discouraged if there is no good cause you intend to achieve through it.
Once you take a bottle+ you may retain a firm mind, but not a firm will. You will know what you are doing but not what is doing you. People who struggle to avoid certain sin (especially the sex related ones) usually fall back to it once they drink because of lack firm control that follows such.
Only if we can "de-categorize" our actions from sin and no sin to whether it pleases the Spirit of God in us/glorify God. Only if we can worry more about what the Spirit desires than what our flesh lusts for. Then, we may understand Proverb 14:12 and worship Him in truth and in SPIRIT.

Bible does not condemn taking of alcohol, but condemns and forbids drunkenness.
To your question, yes, it can lead one to hell. If you walk in the spirit, you will discover that alcoholism fights against the spirit because it makes the mind volatile and weakens the body, thereby making it susceptible to sin. You have to avoid, not only sins but circumstances that lead to it.
Proverb 14:12 says that there are ways that seem right but the end is destruction. 1Cor 10:23 says, all thing are lawful for me but not all things are expedient: all things are lawful for me but all things edify not.
The question is: are you at you best behaviour and well positioned to worship God truly in spirit when you take alcohol?
The sole reason one can take one bottle, then add another and another is simply to get high. That getting high is where the problem lies.
Don't get me wrong, you have not committed any sin just by tasting/taking alcohol.
I stopped drinking beer, not because of sin, but because my spirit repulsed it while my body yearned for it.

It's high time Christians avoided all these spiritual tangents and doctrinal errors. All the solutions proffered by the OP are unscriptural. Bible says that we should build on the foundation already laid and not to add ours. The truth remains that all doctrinal errors have elements of truth in them which makes them believable.
There is no better solution to spiritual problems than prayer and righteousness. We should learn how to cast our burden on God for he will never allow the righteous to be moved(Ps 55:22), other than getting and following "prescriptions"... (mix psalm this with psalm that, take it three times a day, avoid ground nuts, use white garments, bath by 3am, don't wear footwears while bathing, etc). This is a spiritual booby trap for baby Christians.
First solution to spiritual problems is avoidance of sin. Sin gives devil a legal right. Remember, the flesh is where devil is god. Live a righteous life and watch demons loathe your presence. You cannot walk with God holding hands with devil.

Hunger for righteousness. Now I understand better. Before I got baptised in the Holy Ghost. I use to hear story about how people got baptised and was able to say few words in tongues and got better as they continue but in my own case, I prayed, fasted , hunger for it, twice I stayed up for like 2hours in the midnight, praising and praying to God hoping I will be baptised and can speak in tongues but nothing. The hunger and thirst for it was so much that the day I got baptised was in church and I spoke in tongues like have always been doing that. I got home and spoke in tongues like I want to speak the whole tongues I have been missing at a go with joy and happiness in my heart. Wow, I remember that glorious moment now as am typing and I feel like shedding tears of joy. That feeling can not be compaired with anything the world ever offer. Week after and was led by the Spirit to another Church and there from the pastors teaching I was able to interprete my tongues that I prophesy to some group of people and after which I continue still at the program to speak in tongues and God spoke to me, instructed me through tongues giving me the interpretation of the tongues concerning something. Brethren this God is Great, who is like Him, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders. I pray that the Lord grant us the Grace to run this race with him to the end and give us the strength never to weary in Jesus name. The church here says (AMEN

Capital NO! This sought of thing has caused a lot of marital problems I'm aware of. Listen dear, it's time for people to start trusting the Spirit of God in them than consulting others for help. He speaks to us all. Your spirit should first reveal to you whatever you need, man of God can only confirm. This is why I don't ask anyone to check this or that for me. I simply pray over it and listen to that tiny voice inside. Most often, the voice tells us what we know is right but don't want to do.
If you want to marry, give yourself time to consult God. Make sure you are not into sin, He will surely direct u. See, many men of God sometimes speak carnally out of their personal notion of right or wrong. Then they advice u based on what they physically observed and not the otherwise.

My dear, Christianity is not a hard and fast rule. You can't just say it's wrong or right. The spirit may direct you to send your tithe to a growing church. Making some things of God fixed may hamper the work of the Spirit. The major thing is to worship in spirit, and he will surely direct every aspect of your life.
From my own perspective, there is nothing wrong in paying tithe outside if the intention is wholly good, and devoid of ill will. Remember, tithing should be out of free will, and not sake of command. Be careful of any minister who is particularly interested in your tithe. Be wary also of those who preach/prophesy money out of people's pocket. If your spirit tells you to feed physically the person that gives you the right spiritual food, then follow your spirit, he's right.

I believe that faking spiritual gifts or mocking the holy spirit is part of it. Faking tongues and lying against Him,,,like when people falsely prophesy using the name of Holy Spirit.

This is a continuation of exposing the sex demons and how to overcome this demon.


Part 3.

How to overcome spirit spouses (sex demons) is done through warfare prayers and living a Godly life in Jesus Christ.


When a demon has gained entrance into a person's life, it is because there is a particular sin going on in that person's life which has given the demon a legal right.


If a person is battling with spiritual husband/wife, it is because he/she is involved or has been involved in either I.e, Masturbation, sexual fantasies, fornication, or adultery or in some cases child molestation at a very young age ( if a person was molested as a child, he/she may start having strong sexual urges which is caused by this demon)


Anything that is sex related which doesn't abide in God's law of marriage is illegal. And this will easily attract this sex demon when done several times. In most cases, Masturbation and Sexual fantasies are the usual culprit here.



But we thank God for Jesus who died for us, granting us authority and power over this demon.


The way to overcome this demon:


First of all. The person must be free from pornography, masturbation and all sexual related sins.

If the person continues to engage in the sin, the demon will gain a stronger hold over the person and this will even make a deliverance session quite stressful.


After a person stops his/her sexual sins. The person should not stop there but must go further to allow Jesus Christ come into their lives and let the Holy Spirit work through them.


This means that there must be a constant meditations, reading the word of God, abiding in the assembly of God (church) and doing God's will.



If the person doesn't do these things, then the spirit of the person cannot be strengthened to fight against sexual temptations when they come back. The sexual temptations will definitely come when a person tries to get rid of the sin(s)..



The demon will come strongly upon the person when he/she tries to stop committing his/her sexual sins. The demon will bring about sexual dreams, temptations etc.



When a sexual dream occurs, a person must rebuke that dream immediately when he/she wakes up. The sexual dream is actually an evil seed the sex demon plants into a person's mind when they sleep, so that they can be forced to masturbate or commit a sexual sin that day or the following day.



The person is advised to read the word of God if such a dream occurs and he/she is advised not to be alone( it's better to be in the company of friends to resist the temptation to masturbate).



Now.. For people who feel the presence of this demon or people who actually see this demon.. You must do all the above to officially disallow the demon any right into your life.


After repentance is done, a person must speak aloud to the demon. Yes..

The person must challenge the demon with the word of God. The word of God is like a two sharp edged sword. It will strike fear into the cold hearts of the demon. And cut off any power the demon has on it's victim.


Have you ever seen a scared demon? Hahaha.
It's amazing to see that these beings are not to be feared in any way. They are scared of you when they realize you're starting to discover secrets of God's power in your life. That's why they bombard you with sexual dreams, temptations, problems etc. They're only trying to weaken you.


In as much as demons like to strike fear into people's heart, the truth is demons are real cowards. And they will show fear when you have stopped your sins and when you start to pray using God's words against them. They may pretend that your prayers are causing no harm to them but it really is.
A person must be fervent in prayers against this type of demon.



You can pray like this:
"Oh you sex demon, I have been translated into the Light of God. I am no longer a slave to sin, so therefore I am no longer a slave to you because Jesus Christ has cleansed me of my sins with His blood which He shed for me on the cross of Calvary.
Therefore I cut off every covenant I have had with you. My covenant now lies with Jesus my King and my Lord whom I serve.
Begone in the Name of Jesus! Flee in the Name of Jesus!"


You must say this prayer repeatedly and you must say it boldly with no fear and you must say it loud and aggressively.

The demon will cower in fear!


Please note that if you have not repented of your sexual sins, all these prayers won't work. It will be just a waste of time.
Even a deliverance session will be very difficult.
When this kind of demon gas gotten a very strong hold over a person to the extent that the person sees or feels the demon's presence, aggressive prayers and fasting will be required.


Fasting is done to weaken the flesh and strengthen the spirit man. What weakens the flesh will strengthen the spirit.
When the spirit is energized in this regard, prayers from the person will be so deadly to satan and demons.

The stronger the spirit the deadlier the warfare prayers. It's like horse whip (dipped in fire) on the backs of demons. They won't be able to stand it.


I wish I could speak more on this, but I have taken so much time to share this and I didn't want to delay it any further.

I pray for those people who satan and demons might have trapped in sexual sins.

N.B: Please do not engage in warfare prayers against this demon if you have not repented of your sins totally and if you have not started living a Godly life like I stated above.

It may be worse for a person if he/she does that knowing fully well that a sex demon is in their life.

Lovely piece. I was a victim, and was so helpless for years before Christ rescued me. The problem I had when I was still fighting her was that I could not keep away or get rid of the things that bring her. It mustn't necessarily be a sin, but could be something that occasions the sin. Such will later become a weak point.
Example of such landmines is false emotional attachments. This is the bane of so many failures encountered by people in this struggle. If you have a girlfrnd or boyfrnd whom you have been engaging in sex with, and who is not repentant like you, don't say that you will gradually leave him/her to avoid hurting him/her. Don't say that you will continue but without sex. Don't put his/her feelings before your choice or before God. This is a booby-trap that nearly caught me.
One can't walk with God holding hands with the devil or holding what belongs to him. Thank you sir.
