FACT

Why should we remove Lagos? You are not even ashamed of comparing 19 states and fct to six states.

No you are using your village as yardstick not Lagos

There's no where in lagos with more Igbo artisans than Yoruba artisans.

Granted! the Hausas(Northerners) are used to do hard labour across Nigeria because they don't often have the skills to do semi skilled labour, but that doesn't mean they contribute to Nigerian economy than an average Yoruba artisan.

Stop using your village as a yardstick for Nigeria. It's quite remote. cheesy

Yorubas dominate the semi skilled labor in Nigeria. From tailors, hairdressers, mechanics, bricklayers, drivers, electricians, plumbers, painters etc. Yorubas even go to the east and south south to work. Just leave that idiot.

You are simply mad. No tribe learns work like Yoruba. Drivers, mechanics, electricians, tailors, hairdressers etc. no tribe has more than Yoruba. Only a dunce will say otherwise.

If you are as half as intelligent as claim, you realize the caption was "what does South West produce that compares with north" not what does south westerners produce in Nigeria compares to the Northerners.

If you understand the concept of basic economics like GDP (gross domestic product) which is the total value of goods and services produced in place in year or within a period of time, you would understand that the writer of these article is saying nonsense.

Granted ! Northerners produce a lot of Agricultural products but Agricultural products are not the only products necessary for economic growth and development.

We have manufacturered products and services in which south west produce more than any part of the northern region.

Bros don’t go too far. I’m here in ondo state. I can’t count how many 9/11 truck loads of yam, garri, ogbono, offor, leaves, pepper, timber that goes to igbo land from here everyday. Even as I’m typing this. Ask her what does the south east produce.

please and please again , dont bring igbos to this or derail the thread to an igbo vs yoruba discuss , you can open a thread for that

But you are Igbo asking foolish questions. Do you know how many food trucks leave ondo state to the south east every day? Even as I am typing?

The southwest does' not produce anything, they relay and depends on lagos as a land lord waiting for his tenants for house rent....

Do the igbos and south south produce anything?

Here in ondo state, I can’t count how many 9/11 trucks load pepper, ogbono, offor, egusi planks, to south south and south east every day.

In 2023, PDP will field either a Northerner or someone from the SE as its Presidential candidate, Obasanjo and GEJ have already taken the slot of the SW and SS in PDP

If PDP fields someone from the the SE then Osibanjo should forget the SS/SE. On the other hand, if PDP fields a Northerner, maybe Atiku, then you will see Northerners desert APC and switch to PDP as that will represent their best chance of keeping the Presidency in the North

Either way, it not good for Osibanjo

Even if pdp presents a SE candidate, Osinbajo would still win some SS states. Your projection of the north is born out of primordial sentiments. Why didn’t they vote atiku in 2019 and extend their rule instead of buhari? You think politics is 1+1? Many northern politicians will not even want the region to retain the presidency for their own good.

You make me laugh. Comparing a presidential election with house of rep elections in which less than 400 people vote. The SS/SE will not vote for Osibanjo for the following reasons.

1)Osibanjo is a nobody in the SS/SE

2)APC is not a popular party in the SS/SE

3)Most people in the SE/SS think it is pure mischief for the SW to be thinking about producing the President again after 8 years of Obasanjo considering the fact that the SE has not had it and the SS has only had one term.

So in the end, Osibanjo is going to rely on votes from the North and North can never love a Yoruba man like Osibanjo more than they love their own.

The chances of Osibanjo or any other Yoruba man becoming President in 2023 are next to zero

He is a nobody now but if he becomes the candidate of apc, trust me, he will become somebody. Was atiku somebody in south east before 2018?

If he contests against a northerner, he will win in both SE/SS. take that to the bank. You guys from the east always analyze politics with emotions.
Politics / Re: No Doubt This Is 2023. PICTURE. by Perkins2018: 2:02pm On Apr 11, 2020

In other for a person to become president of Nigeria, that person must win majority votes in at least 4 of the 6 geopolitical zones. The SS/SE will not vote for Osibanjo, he is a nobody there. Infact, most people in the SE/SS keep wondering why another Yoruba man should be president after 8 years of Obasanjo and the SE has not har it and the SS only had one term. So that means that Osibanjo must carry his native SW as well much of the North.

The question any Osibanjo supporter should ask is why the North would vote Osibanjo when they could vote another Northerner and make him president

If the south east fails to produce the pdp candidate and Osinbajo becomes the candidate, do you think any northern can defeat him in SS/SE? You take online banta too serious.

Apc does not need the south south or south east votes to win, it has been proven twice by President Buhari in 2015, and again in 2019, no matter what any myopic mind imagines, most intellectual thinkers know Presidential powers is coming down South, South West to be precise, Lagos, Ogun State(VP Osinbajo).

Osinbajo does not stand a chance in 2023 so you claim, the same thing you said about President Buhari in 2015, & 2019, don't mix sentiments with politics, wings of wax, you will get burnt.

Don’t kid yourself. Osinbajo needs SS/SE to win. And he will get nothing less than 60% of their votes. Forget these online noisemakers. Politics is all about bargaining. All he need to do is to bargain with the political bigwigs in the SS/SE and Christian middle belt. He already has 8 1/2 states. (South west and Kwara, Edo, some parts of Kogi and Delta.

You dont seem to get it. Even Buhari would rather have his fellow Northerner continue. The North only cares about retaining political power. If anyone is hoping that Buhari will deliver Osibanjo against the wishes of his own people is kidding themselves

The north is not different from any other region. We all want our people at the elm of affairs. But at the end of the day politicians will sort themselves out. The noise from the north is from atikus camp.

The north can never retain power in 2023. The igbos even have a better chance than the north in 2023 if they put their house in order.

Lets assume that APC fields Osibanjo as Presidential candidate in 2023, where will Osibanjo get the votes to win? The SS/SE zone wont vote for him. All the votes of the SW cannot make him president. That leaves the North to decide. So why would the North support a Yoruba to become president when they could support one of their own to become President? Because of loyalty? Because Buhari wants it that way? The only thing the North cares about is power, and in 2023, both Buhari and loyalty wont mean as much to them as retaining power.

Osibanjo does not stand a chance in 2023 no matter the party he is running with

And who told you SS/SE won’t vote for him? Just because some ignorant hate filled ipob members say so? Politics is all about bargaining. I remember you all said the same about Gbaja, guess what? He got majority votes from SS/SE lawmakers. Osinbajo will win nothing less than 60% from SE/SS. Don’t kid yourself.

If there is largess to be shared, everybody must partake, even if their region is 10 times developed than Washington. Everybody has the right to ask for their share.

In 2014 GEJ organized a National conference, yorubas demonized GEJ and that conference claiming it is was a waste of money and time to delay his ouster.

The same yorubas who critized and demonized that conference sent representatives to the same conference. When we asked them why they attended a national conference they termed 'a jamboree', they shamelessly opened their mouths and claimed 'they attended so they can collect their own share of the national largess just like everybody else'.

The same shameless knobheads will scold and insult Ndigbo for doing same. I have repeated that yoruba political opinion must always be taken with 10 bags of salt.

I wonder the kind of school you graduated from. Who is “the Yoruba “ is that a name of a single individual?

Pdp guys attended the Jonathan conference while the opposition apc saw it as a jamboree. Must you igbos always show how daft you are?
