The truth is IT proffesionals in nigeria are just not creative. Many would rather be job seekers than creators. Secondly, just like in the western world, proffesionals in this sector lack the business inclination to make a product sell. Thirdly, many IT proffesionals would rather go it alone than opt for partnership. Fourthly, the basic infrastructures like access to cheap broadband, poor power supply are very strong factors inhibiting the sector. How many of us have the courage to host our servers in our homes, the two above factors would surely discourage anyone. Fifth, the infiltration of quacks into the sector. Its amazing to know how much of mouthwatering govt contracts are hijacked by govt jobbers and subsequently outsourced to shady individuals and firms. Sixth, the bandwagon effect is also killing the sector, the IT sector lacks creativity just recycled ideas. |
Politicians should get a job. |
i swear, godwin dey smoke exkay. |
nicw goal awoniyi. The best and most hustling player on the field. |
super eagles dey learn for where flying eagles dey tap ball. Na wa o, hungry don dey tire. Abeg, una dey ear people dey shout nigeria!!. Abi na only me dey hear am? |
Godwin body too dey hot. Abeg take am easy. |
The flying eagles lack creative players but they play well as a team. |
Abj2:Would you rather be a somalian? |
Nigerians should learn to appreciate the fact that the military has boxed BH into a tight corner. For some time now, they have been finding it hard to carry out their usual cross border genocide thereby forcing them to result to sucide attacks.Very soon, they will run out of sucide bombers. We should give kudos to them instead of making them feel like their affort is worth nothing. The military and security agencies are working tirelessly to root out this evil, some of us are deliberately constituting a nuisance and mockery of the efforts of these gallant men. Many on this forum would rather see PMB fail for selfish reasons. What then makes you different from boko haram. If buhari fails then nigeria fails. |
Why are nigerians so irrational and hypocritical.Six good years, the past govt could not defeat the insurgency, now you expect a two weeks old govt to wave a magic wand so all the problems can disappear. Nigerians are the greatest challenge nigeria has. |
Service is very impressive. It goes as far as alagbole-akute. |
Its amazing that some nairalanders still cant get over GEJs govt. GEJ is past, let him be in the past. Nigeria must move on. If the man no go una go say e no go, now e don go, una dey say why e go. Chai, nigerians are the problem of nigeria. Even america seeks the assistance of the mexican govt in the fight againt drug smuggling. Like they say, two heads fares better than one. |
Edo girls and abroad mentality. Why should a beautiful girl like this go abroad only to end up as a housemaid when she could very well get a decent job with her looks. I swear, this country must good whether nigerians like it or not. |
Beremx:Abi..Desperate times call for desperate measures. Anyone willing to help and provide information and military know-how is welcome. We will surely caution them to stick to terms of co-operation. |
Jonwesley:Thanks, bros. Nigerians would rather be part of the problem than be part of the solution. Comments that nigerians make is what boko haram thrives on. Me sef, i tire o. Nigerians should realise that even if the president parades the streets in army camoflague and military rifle, it will still not be enough to end this terror campaign. When we continously condemn their activities and support the president and the military, then boko haram will realise that they are not winning the war. To show support, nigerians should consider setting up anti boko haram funds. Corporate bodies, wealthy individuals down to the market woman and driver can contribute to this fund. |
The earlier we realise that boko haram is a force backed by foreign religious forces bent on destabilising the nation and the region as a whole the better for us. Politicians tried to use it as a campaign tool, now tables turned, the terror campaign has not stopped. Nigerians should understand that Bh is an ideology and so long as we have hardcore believers in this ideology among us no one is safe. The task to root out terrorism cannot be dumped on the presidents lap. Just as we need him to act, he also needs us to do the same. We all have our own role to play. Instead of condemning and blaming the authorities, we should summon courage and continue to support our president and the military. When we close our eyes to sleep, they worry endlessly about our safety. The president is not in chad or niger to attend tea parties, he is there to fulfill a pledge he made to us. Please let us continue to support him. Blaming or condemning him will not arrest the situation, it will only aggravate it and make it seem as if BH is winning the war. God bless nigeria. |
Public embarassment would surely instill discipline. I wish they can do this to most lagos drivers. |
In one word. Purposeful Leadership |
Good lord. We sympathise with our ghanaian brothers. |
2nd goal. This korean team sef no sabi. |
At last, korean goalkeeper na mumu. |
This korean team no sabi. Flying eagles no get confidence. |
Dollyak:They did not strike because he was on tour. Terrorism has assumed a new dimension than we use to know it, more complex but never beyond human reasoning capabilities. Boko haram is throwing all it has against the govt of the day so as to discredit it and paint a picture in our mind that they are winning the war. We just need to keep supporting our security agencies and pray they stem this tide. |
Thanks, very informative. The US govt has a nationwide cyber security standard. Question is how many organisations observe it. Number 12 on that list cannot be ignored. |
spacechuks:FYI, the only reason why states around offshore territorial waters are immensely benefiting from the oil revenues is because they are part of a larger nigerian entity recognised by the UN and the international community. A break up will only enable foreign powers redefine these territorial frontiers. We should remember that we are sorrounded by francophone countries that have become stooges to these foreign powers. The problem with the various regions and tribe that make up nigeria is that they all focus on what they have contributed to nigeria, ignoring the benefits they have accured over the years as a result of belonging to the nigerian entity. Yes, nigeria might seem a system failure, but certainly every region has contributed to its failure. A lot of nigerians dont understand international politics, reason why we lost bakassi so cheaply. The human race is constantly reshaping itself and we should very well look beyond our nose. South sudan has suceeded in breaking away from sudan after so many years, we should be amazed how much role the multinational oil companies played. Today, sudan is seriously dropping arms into that region to achieve a goal, that is to further disintegrate that entity called south sudan. The Ijaw people should go into negotiations considering what they stand to gain or lose being part of nigeria. |
BH has been reduced to using psychological warfare as it loses more territories. Its clear they are playing out a perfectly written script. Its trying hard to draw public attention to its deadly potency by resulting to sucide attacks and then following it up with videos of past recorded victories to play their continued loss. The DMI and SSS should please up their game, work closely with the egyptian and libyan govt Most of the attacks could as well be planned from as far as libya or even syria. Every form of civillian activity in the NE should be properly scutinised. Access to any home basic material that could be used for bomb making should be scrutinised. Entry and exit of foreigners should be highly restricted. In fact, a biometric identity database that could be easily accessible should be up and running in the shortest possible time, that way they can easily trace the origin of any sucide bomber and establish a link to his or her contacts. BH is an ideology, not a warfare. Kill the ideology and you have won the war. |
Its so annoying when these people make it look as if all what the Ijaw Nation is about is just crude oil. Every time these groups are in the news, its all borders around crude oil. South sudan fought for self determination, today that region is the center of global genocide. Sorry to say, but it seems to me those fighting for the ijaw cause are taking the same path as south sudan. The Ijaw Nation should please redifine itself and its struggle. The ijaw nation has been existing before the advent of oil and it would do very well with or without crude oil. |
Other branches should be investigated, i am sure the dragnet will surely fish more of these criminals out. With the amount of mutilated currency still in circulation, there must be a syndicate ring involved. Burst them now. |
Boko Haram is an ideology and not a warfare. |
Hmmm...some people just remembered they are paid monthly salaries to keep the refinery working. I hope this this is not all talk and no action. 2016 is just 6 months away. Abeg, no excuse or shifting of goal post. |
Nature favors nigeria. No scientific record of geo siemic activity till date in nigeria (correct if wrong), greatest threat would be the human factor, management per say. As for patner country, south africa and france is our best bet (would have loved to have UK fronting for us).PMB's new found love with the UK could work well in this regard. As for prospective site location, politically stable states would be good candidates. Ogun state, Benue state and maybe kogi state comes to mind as they have access to abundant water supply. I will do some more research too. Also waiting for others to contribute and educate us. |
all4naija:The bolded makes me laugh.@all4naija, make up your mind. There sre two ways. It either works or it doesnt. |
