Politics › Re: Alex Bade: Niger Delta Militants Are Taking Up Arms, We Will Deal With Them by persius555(m): 3:28pm On Jun 22, 2015
Militants, agbero, area boys have the same orientation. They all believe the society owes them and as such would use any means possible to get what they dont deserve. Worse off is the ND militants, fighting for peanuts when they actually own the resources. If the militants are serious about benefitting from the oil largese, they should come together, raise the capital and approach stakeholders and bid for contracts in the various fields of the oil sector. The likes of tompolo, dokubo have the resources to liberate their foot soldiers but they rather advice them to tow the path of violence or settle for peanut from the amnesty program.

Politics › Re: Murray-bruce Wants NYSC Members To Be Given N500k Each Upon Passing Out by persius555(m): 7:44pm On Jun 21, 2015
Here is what i suggest. The target should be 10,000 certified deservedly entrepeneurs. Those who have the zeal of entrepeneurship should be made to undergo proper business apprentiship under the supervision of accomplished merchants (who could be paid a token to take in 1-10 corpers)and bank representatives. The first six months of NYSC would be the grooming stage, after which they can return to other duties. At the end of service year, selected corpers can be given access to loans of 1.5 million by FG. The sucessful graduates might continue with the tutelage program for some time to sharpen their skill. Any corper can apply, but 10,000 is the target. Entrepeneuship in nigeria is not bread and beans. Some of us can testify. 1.5 millionX10,000=15 billion naira yearly. That figure can be increased if they deem it fit.

I know businesses that have collapsed less than three years after taking loans more than 2 million naira. Poor business management wasnt the cause of fold up nor was proper planning. Too much govt taxes and lack of basic social infrastructures was responsible. Senator Ben Murray, pls when the senate resumes, try and ensure that laws that are entrepeneursip friedly are passed. Getting a loan or sourcing start up capitals are easy to get these days if the individual involved knows his onions. I know individuals that are regularly chased by bankers to take loans worth 4 million naira in Idumota, but they decline (some of them are not graduates). Our law makers do need re-orientation.

My brova, that sector ehhhn.. I cant wait for the tsunami of change to hit them. Our economy is just so tied to it. The incompetent companies that call themselves distribution companies should just leave if they cannot cope anymore.
Politics › Re: Adesola Amosu Declares War On South-south Militants,Orders Air Bombing Of Creeks by persius555(m): 2:57pm On Jun 20, 2015
Boko Haram, calabar pirates or whatever. One thing they have in common is their thirst for violence. Its funny that a lot of nigerians dont understand that if allowed to fester for too long, gains made from piracy in the Niger Delta could be used to fund BH activities in the NE without the consent of the parties involved. Crime in the underworld is big business. The tout you see on the waterway could become a multi billionaire arms dealer tomorrow. We cant afford to allow the country become a breeding ground for all sorts of criminals.
Education › Re: 10 Nigerian Universities With The Best Graduates In The Work Place By (ajahexcel by persius555(m): 2:39pm On Jun 20, 2015
Just as every university produces competent and well read graduates, so also do they have their fair share of incompetent graduates. It generally boils down to personal groomin, though the univeristy has its roles to play. Not every product of the universities mentions are failure nor are they all a sucess.
Investment › Re: Delayed Cabinet: Stock Market Investors Lose N238bn by persius555(m): 10:30am On Jun 20, 2015
PMB should spend ample time finalizing the calibre of men that will constitute his cabinet. In the past, we have been rushing to give in to lobbyists, where has it taken us? Baba abeg, take all the time you need. The task ahead is not for mediocres and liabilities. Its not going to be business as usual. Nigeria will be great again.

Bitter news!

something tells me America has a lot to gain if boko haram wins like they are already predicting ,they have always wanted Nigeria to go down the drain since we are the most populous black nation in the world ,we seems to be a threat in Americas world government project !!

PMB ,dullard one of daura (his native title) should be very careful with his new found friendship in America and other western allies !!!

One thing for sure is that Gej never allowed them have their way so the Daura President should thread carefully.
I believe PMB is old enough to be ur grandfather. A man of this age has offered top lead us out of this 16yrs political and socio economic darkness. All u do with ur youthfulness is to constitute a national disgrace on this forum. Get rid of this your ''GEJ or Nigeria can go to Hell'' attitude cause GEJ is not coming back. The earlier the better.

PPAngel:
Not true.

Buhari is hesitant in moving in to the villa because he has been instructed by his Gambian marabou to wait 30 days after the completion of their cleansing ritual that is currently on going in the villa.

Buhari is superstitious and believes Yaradua and Abacha's death were the hand work of the Kafur God.
Okay, another angle to it. Its alright so long as baba is upright and solve the nations problem. I dont if e invites voodooists from haiti or whatever.@ppAngel, hmm... na wa o.E be like say ur link sure o o.

Don't mind them; they think they are on the same level with the Igbos. They hide under one Nigeria to compete with the Igbos. If they are man enough, they should agree to separation...then they will know the true greatness of the Igbos. It's no longer a question of IF but WHEN.
What do u gain by tribalising germaine issues of utmost important to the development of nigeria. Every tribe in the country produces briliant individuals who have gone ahead to make the country proud in their fields of endeavors. Just as there are igbo sholars and inventors outside the shores of nigeria, there are those from other tribes too. For all i care, what the american society see is an african who has a potential to be great, what you see is an igbo man. Tribalism breeds hatred, nepotism, corruption among the african race.

These businesses will power themselves using solar panels, inverters and backup batteries, all these will be captured within the N10 million naira budget
@Op, i dont mean to be rude, but i can imagine u how much it costs to run a production/manufacturing business on next to nothing power infrastructure. I know individuals who took 3 million naira loans for poultry and printing business and more than half of the amount plus profit went into providing power. The likes of bill gate and Co will struggle to survive in nigeria simply because the essential infrastructures are not in place. Did the google brothers or facebook worry about electricity supply or broadband facility before they developed their business in what it is today? Infrastructure first. What has happened to all the loans govt has been giving out since post colonial era.

Nigeria people, this is an opportunity to enjoy from your inheritance and you are against it, leaving it to the corrupt politicians to eat it a lone.

That money is too small from your government! Americans pays from $1000 depending on ur status and pays $400 to $600 child benefit. Likewise all European countries pays.

But... Money can't be paid without proper biodata
Let's search for more knowledge to tackle this people because the politicians don't which the country well.
Like someone that being contesting for President for good 4 times and got to the post traveling around to get knowledge, what as he being doing for the past years.
May God help us
America is a thriving economy that is free of corruption at least to an extent. Have you seen their GDP in double digit trillions of dolllars. Only bouyant economies are able to sustain handout programs for its citizens. Can you say we are bouyant with all the salary backlog.

Where in the world has this system of govt charity worked. Abeg, PMB should channel all that fund into generating power across the counter. Infrastructure inverstment is a force multiplier for the economy and that is what we need at this point not unending wastage. This govt should learn from the mistakes of last govt.Sure-P and the other chariry programs was a waste of public funds. Op raised the issue of having a working database. How close are we to that? This is another subsidy system in the making. It will not work.

Dont mind the blood thirsty idioots yapping all over thread. All i recall is the pictures of skulls all over that country back then. They are trying to compare him to bush and co but forgot this guy watched over the massacre of his own people. He should have been assasinated long ago. South Africa must do the needful immediately. Let heaven fall, ship his fvcked up assz off to the the hague already and other African blood thirsty leaders will learn.
No more pride in a continent already muddled with blood of the innocent by their demonic sit-tight leaders.
cool cool
There are better ways to do this. A regioanal or western backed coup in his absence would have worked better.

Just when africa is trying to cement relationship among its AU member, ICC makes a devillish request. This will breed mistrust in the entire continent. If ICC want him they can seek the help of america. They are good at destroying countries that wont do their bidding.

No doubt the Army needs to be restructured.

However, there is nothing special in this account (note i am not saying things are as they should be). You can speak to any police constable on his experiences and see if they are any different?

Speak to a nurse in any general hospital outside the state capitals and see if the story is different.

The Country's public management systems are rotten. Every sector operated by Government is exactly like this, so it would be naive to imagine that our military would be different. The only sad thing is that the Military involve life and death, so the effect of the rot here is more dramatic. However, we must be truthful and admit that it is not unexpected.

The solution is simple but difficult ----- Public service reforms!!!
Unfortunately, this would be a 10 year game at the minimum, involving extensive re-professionalism, change of terms of service, rewrd and punishment etc.
Nigerians are nigeria's biggest problem. God save us from ourselves.
