This is what jonathan's cluelesness has led the region into. I can bet my two penny that many of us nairalanders have more concrete information about boko haram than jonathan has. This man is not fit to be a local govt chairman but for some reason he became the president of the largest black nation on earth. I cant wait till feburary 14.

For those of you who have defiantly continued to support a GEJ led PDP govt that has destroyed the destiny of this great country, i hope you all realise that nairaland is an archive that can be refrenced to. You children will one day stumble on your comments you have made today in the future. You suppport a govt that has for the past 16 years of democratic rule refused to revive the power sector after divesting/stealing hundreds of billions of dollar, refused to revive and build petroleum refineries that would generate millions of jobs for unemployed nigerians, a govt that has drained nigerias foreign reserve, turned a people with the potential great people into paupers.Remember, now is when history beckons on us to change the detinies of nigerians yet unborn. VOTE PDP/GEJ Out for the future of our children yet unborn.Nigerians, vote wisely. It is now or never.

Politics › Re: Nigeria's Current Petrol Pump Price Better Than That Of The USA by persius555(m): 5:59am On Jan 20, 2015
Raiders:
Pump Price of Petrol for Oil Exporting Countries in the World as @ 19/01/2015 : in naira1.
Venezuela - 3.732.
Syria - 9.333.
Libya - 22.394.
Saudi Arabia - 29.855.
Kuwait - 46.656.
Qatar, Iran, Algeria and Bahrain - 48. 517. Sudan - 63.44

Nigeria is in the 5th position as a Major Oil Exporting Country, Venezuela is number 8, Kuwait is in the 13th position, Libya is in number 15, Qatar and Algeria are in positions 14 and 16 respectively. Nigeria is selling Petrol officially at 87 naira per liter and some gullible Nigerians are rejoicing. When shall we grow up? When shall our leaders b accountable GEJ & FG should come out and inform Nigerians on how thet arrived at the 87 naira per liter pump price you want us all to so much celebrate. As for me I don't worship mediocrity. Nigerians wake up. #‎NigeriaDecides2015
Bros, abeg thumbs up 4 u. Op, how much did GEJ pay u out of his 21 billion naira campaign fund to spread this propaganda? PDP and GEJ are a fraud and a curse to this country. We will vote them out this time around. Insha allahu and In jesus name. Amen. Nigeria must move forward

I cant imagine another four years under a PDP led jona. Six years of stagnancy and looting, he still wants to perpetuate himself, i am very sure this time we will get it right and send the thieves packing. WE ARE FED UP!!!
Crime › Re: Calabar Boy Caught And Burnt To Death For Stealing (Graphic Photo) by persius555(m): 8:26am On Jan 18, 2015
I do not in anyway support jungle justice.Nigerian youths have resorted to taking justice into their own hands because the Nigerian Police Force and the justice system has become a failure. Some years ago, nigerians would gladly hand a criminal over for prosecution, corruption crept into our judicial system and criminals simply bought their freedom, in some cases they unleashed more violence on the community that arrested them. This is how we got to this point. The NPF and our corrupt justice system is responsible for the decay in the populace civility. This is humanity fighting back and its not looking pretty at ALL!!!RIP to the dead. Shame on our failed justice system and the Nigerian Police Force.

Politics › Re: Is Obasanjo So RELEVANT? by persius555(m): 1:49pm On Jan 15, 2015
OBJ has metamorphorsed into a typical nigerian polithician. Today, they are romancing the party that brought them to power, few days later thay are at daggers drawn, swearing the same party shouldnt have been in existence. Like i always say, divide PDP into two, the other half is APC.

This guy loves controversy and craves for attention. The same nigeria that made him rich enough to build schools in foreign lands, now he turns around to bite the finger that fed him. I wonder why he hasnt fully relocated to cotonou. Nigeria is better off without him.
Politics › Re: Why Father Mbaka Is Fighting Jonathan. by persius555(m): 9:06am On Jan 05, 2015
Ever since Men of God either openly make remarks with political undertones or get directly involved in politics, they end up with a sour taste(pastor bakare and rev chris okotie are a witness to this). Simply put, politics and religion just dont mix, just as oil and water dont. Split PDP into two, the other half is APC.
Politics › Re: Only Way To Stop Suicide Bombings by persius555(m): 8:08pm On Jan 04, 2015
Op, you did a good job at attracting attention to your post, but you intentionally attacked islam as a religion than proferring a solution to ending the spate of sucide bombing in the north. I would suggest that all basic IED making materials like gas cylinders, ammonium cyanide including all mining exposives be banned outrightly for now. Terrorist all over the world use bombings to create anxiety and panic in the minds of the populace. It sort of gives them attention and relevance even when they are losing the war in warfronts.

Wow, seriously i am impressed. If the president has projects like this in his kitty all this while, then he has something to offer afterall. He should spend more time consolidating his grip on his chances next year with such publicity rather than joing in the castigation game the opposition is dragging his administration into. Once more , thumbs up for this one, i hope there is more to come.
Business › Re: Job Losses Loom As Naira Sells 194 To Dollar by persius555(m): 8:14am On Dec 20, 2014
FrankC3:
For me, this is the opportunity for us to allow the naira assume it's actual value in the market. The CBN, Finance Ministry and the National Planning office know exactly what is going on. I dont think naira is being devalued, its value has always been falsely maintained by squandering our foreign reserve. It is time to take off the protectionist glove and let the naira gain value on the merits of improved production, employment generation and real economic activity not on the back of foreign reserve, afterall Nigerians are not happy with debt. We can't eat our cake and have it.

It takes ball to do what is happening now in an election period. Dollars will be injected early next year to firm it a little but we should fold our sleeves to build on a solid foundations of agriculture, manufacturing and services that earn foreign exchange.
Well seconded. What kind of country with over 170 million people/moth will wait to be fed by importation. If the US, china, India is cutting down on importation, we should be cutting down on importation of goods that have viable alternatives. Top on import lists are rice, sugar, flour, cars.FG should work on local alternatives of these goods.

Politics › Re: Breaking news Boko Haram Kidnaps 185 Women And Children, Kills 32 by persius555(m): 4:08am On Dec 20, 2014
Defeating boko haram is taking too long because there is no united and co-ordinated front in this effort. BH foot soldiers live and breed among the populace, despite this the military on both sides of the counries are having a hard time fishing them out and defeating them. Boko haram is an ideology supported by human of various faith and tribe. This ideology is shared by other groups all around the world. Ideologies cannot be defeated by military might alone or how do you explain a 12 year old willing to become a sucide bomber. There has to be an hollistic approach to solving this problem.

So long as they continue to pass laws that have no immediate impact on the populace, fully bred or half bred, they will be thrown out immediately. In fact, the number of legislatures that lost is too low, 90 percent of them deserve to be booted out.

Politics › Re: Pictures Of The Contents Of The Russian Plane Impounded At Kano Airport by persius555(m): 8:34am On Dec 07, 2014
Nlanders, trust me, this is the last you would hear of this incident. We are in a dilemna in this war against BH. The president should be bold enough for once and explain to nigerians what purpose the plane and its contens was meant for. A little explanation on this will change nigerians view about him being clueless and dumb. The first lady should get the president to wake up from his slumber, for heavens sake he is the president of the most populous black nation on earth and not the president of FIJI ISLAND.
Politics › Re: Boko Haram Uses Cows To Bomb Communities – FG by persius555(m): 8:04am On Dec 06, 2014
All trucks transporting dairies, animal feeds, agric products all over the country should be thoroughly scrutinised. In fact all truck owners, petrol tankers must submit biometric records of their drivers, assistants to relevant security authorities. Contents of their vehicles must be made public. I can imagine BH changing tactics. All hands must be on deck to stem any more fatal bomb attack anywhere in the country.
