Austerity measures at play. |
And i was not invited.Did i just spot a white garment pastor among the crowd? Mr president, you are sorrounded by wolves and hyenas. Happy birthday, Mr president. |
Why do users quote long threads like this one? It can be so annoying. |
As the yuletide season approaches and holiday shows and carnivals are geared up, celebrities and program co-ordinators should spare a bit of their time to appreciate and acknowledge the efforts of the nigerian armed forces. While we wine and dine, they are out there in the frontline facing and dodging bullets that we, the citizens might sleep with our eyes closed. This is a huge sacrifice they are making and we can only help by appreciating their effort in our own little way. I am sure this would help gear them up. Nigerian Armed Forces,More grace to your elbow. Long live nigeria. |
The army should continue to push, at this rate the marauders will be left with no option but to relinquish their stronghold. BH views the armies unwillingness to launsh sttacks on their base as weakness. God bless the Nigerian Army. |
mkpakanaodogwu:Shut de phuck up. Now, we are talking. Very soon BH will run out of territories and will be left with no choice but to surrender or flee to their haven in chad, niger and cameroon Security is everyone"s responsibility. Long live nigeria. |
Abeg, the state government should help mobilize the hunters and vigilantes to thwart BH occupation of villages. Now we know who the enemies are. |
Orunto:If story is true then u should 4ucking shut your GEJ ass licking mouth. The vigilantes have more to lose than the government has. |
There is either a problem with your laptop or the android device. Try connect your laptop to any other wireless system like a cafe. Start troubleshooting from there. |
And the nigerian army resumes their usual duty of seating in the barracks to wait for another BH part 2 invasion. The military needs to do a lot of deep inner, serious, thinking. You dont win a war like this. |
This is what you get when you train your army to be on the defensive. At this rate, is it not better the army leave so BH can run out of arms and then go back to farming or herding. Soldiers guard arms, BH attacks and cart away the arms. My conclusion is that the nigerian army brings in arms, sits in the barrack to guard the arms. Is the arms suppose to be guarded or used to attack insurgents? The military has simply been systematically converted to a police force. When was the last time the military attacked BH base? Me, i cant remember, its the BH that is always in attack mode, while the army always slips to defensive mode. WHAT A WAR TACTICS...SMH. |
Cannonleo:Brova, nice input. What do you do with an assault rifle when your attacker is seated behind a Anti Aircraft mounted on a pick up van. Our military tactics and approach should change. Continous sucessful invasion of barracks and police stations is helping to arm the insurgents. RIP to our fallen heroes. |
In kobani, syria, women and young men as young as 14 years without previous military training took up rifles to defend their kurdish town against the evil ISIS that BH recently swore allergence to. Till date, kobani has turned out to be the turning point in the war against this evil group. The will and zeal to fight and die for a nations/ motherland has always played an important role in any war theatre that humanity can recall. The invation of soviet union by the nazis during WWII is another reference. The nigerian govt should swallow its pride, engage/arm CJTF, local hunters to finish this war once and for all of course with the support and supervisioon of security operatives. How many more innocent school children have to be bomb to pieces b/4 we face the reality and act. |
Civillians still living in terrorists occupied territory should be warned to leave. Constant aerial bombardment should commence, all out war should commence. The CDS should know that at the moment, we dont have a competent president since he has chosen to sacrifice the fight against BH for his re-election. The army should go all out, wishing them sweet victory with godspeed. God bless nigeria. |
Op, get a high end switch that has badwidth control/management capability into your network if you have a LAN in place. Limit or restrict the bandwidth based on overall available traffic on a per port basis. This should work, restricting access on the router end will block everyone out from accessing certain websites. |
Lingua wise, our best anglophoe friends should be kenya, we share a lot and can learn a lot from them. ICT sector is booming just like ours, banking sector too. Entertainment wise, kenyans love our movies, speaking of religion, they also have fanatics/extremists like we do. One area we differ is the tourism sector and fight against corruption and wastage. Our best francophoe friends should be ivory coast, the people share a lot of similarities with southern nigeria. Its a pity both countries are thosands of miles away form us, we would have made good friends. |
Op, to be fair to your judgement, if you or anyone were in the CDS shoes we would have done the same.Regrettably, that act affected the already bruised moral of the troops on ground. I am sorry to say, but the obvious is that members of the NA army do not believe in dying for this union called nigeria. My advice to the men and boys, christain or muslim from states affected by boko haram activities is to arm themselves and defend their town and villages, @ least they have something to die for. |
You dont expect to get much from an army that has over the years been recruiting based on influence by senior ranking officers and popliticians. We all knew it was coming to this but never thought it would come this early. Corruption, cowardice, nepotism and hypocracy has helped turn our armed forces especially the NA to unproffesional and lilly livered foot soldiers not too better than BH itself. The north east better start recruiting en masse into the CJTF. Ten thousand well armed and fed CJTF will cleanse the entire NE of BH. FG can continue paying NA their salary and renumeration. |
Shouldnt the senate do the needful? Summon the defence minister and CDS or something to at least brief us on the security situation. Why the sudden mute, like all is well. |
American economy, especially manufacturing is getting stronger while china second largest economy is slowing down. A stronger dollar currency, nigeria better start cutting down demand for foreign imports and encourage local manufacturing. Please fix the power sector and build more refineries. |
The president should act now and fast. |
Op, i had a thought on that too.You spoke my mind. Somebody please tell madam Obi Ezekwesili to give the bringbackourgirls campaign a rest. More people die on a daily basis in the NE than the 200 chibok girls. BH plan to use the chibok girls as a bargaining chip to continously kill and maim fellow nigerians. It is time to act, the c in c should order the defence headquaters to immediately relocate to the NE, 30,000 military men should be deployed and full scale war be declared. If the chibok girls would have to be sacriced to have peace and progress in this great nation, then so be it. |
celeron40:Shai, looks like somebody has been overfeeding on the country's defence budget. Lol!!! |
celeron40:Looks like somebody has been overfeeding on the country's defence budget. Lol!!! |
The presidency is too busy runnin after tambuwal and amaechi like tom and jerry. The war in NE is not a priority on his list, he already dumped that on the office of CDS and COAS. |
barcanista:If the situation continues unchecked, in the eventuality of BH taking overthe entire north, what we will ultimately have is a religious/tribal war like what we have in syria.like the victims recounts, BH foot soldiers converse in kanuri, most definitely those soldiers that shot at fellow soldiers(if true) are likely muslims (not a hater of islam and its doctines) of mix tribe who are sympathetic to the BH cause. The c in c holds the key to ending this war.He should brace up, put on his military thinking cap (if he has one). He should put nigeria first before other political commitments. What joy is there if you become a president of a nation whose citizen's blood are continously spilled on religous grounds. |
I am glad somebody brought this topic. A year ago i was consulting for a local firm that needed a computer based platform to run its management admistrative activities. I got in contact with some indian firms who offered their software product which eventually didnt meet our needs. Somehow, i got in contact with a wholly nigerian firm that had similar products that effectively solved the issues we were conttending with. On the longrun we couldnt do business because the terms presented by the local firm was too stringent compared to whhat the indians offered and the client turned down the deal. If granted better working environments i believe the local software companies will do very well. |
By now, Boko haram's plan should be clear to all. Their intent is to islamise the entire north east, form and alliance with the rest of the north west(which will easily compromise without resistance). If this trend continues without a concrete and sincere military plan, BH will most likely launch an all out, simultaneous attack on maiduguri, damaturu and yola before the end of the year. The rate at which the military abandon their posts, i doubt if they would be able to put up a stropng resistance in the enventuality. As it is,there are doubts if BH would be able to hold down these towns effectively. There is no better time to finish off this war than now. |
Africans do more talking rather than get the jobs done. I bet you, come ten years from now, we will still be arguing over whether to deport foreigners or not to. |
Arch1:The crisis in the NE is the least on his prority list. So much for a weak president. Is it not pathetic that the chief of defence as it stands does not have a hometown since it is now under the rule of islamic caliphate of boko haram. Some months ago, some of us asked that the president declare full scale, all out war against boho haram, chibok girls or no chibok girls.Rather, they choose to settle for a cheap deciet called ceasefire.Never negotiate with terrorists. |
I hope yourr excellency GEJ is reading this.Mr president, your government is a sequel of previous bad and terrible governance. Do we need othher nations to tell us how bad the PDP govt has been b4 you believe. |

Yes, i have and i hope ALLU FOUR is still fresh in our memory.Error in terror. |
