Cloud computing is an exciting concept to those who have a a IT saavy background. As an entrepeneur you want to offer your customer a solution that is pocket friendly, less complicated and hitchfree (at least to a tolerable extent). Cloud computing thrives in regions where the basic infrastructure like power, high broadband penetration, robust internet exchange points, are available. If it costs 20 dollars to set up cloud infastructure in the US, u can be sure it will cost 50 dollars or more in nigeria. With a population of about 180 million people, most of whom largely depend on pirated softwares, cloud computing will thrive in developing economies like ours than in the develpoed markets. Cloud computing was developed with broadband in mind. |
Impressive. The revolution has began. Kudos to the administration, please generate more power to boost local prodiction of made-in-nigeria automobile.Nigeria is too big to be over-dependent on importation. |
The lady probably refused to be searched to avoid being sexually harassed. She paid with her life. The psyche of an average northerner who has lived with the horrors of boko haram requires immediate re-evaluation. Terrorism is the opposite of what the internet is to the human race.RIP to the dead. |
armadeo:States like kebbi, zamfara, ekiti yearly budget put together is far less than what these criminals spend. And to think nigerians currently know next to nothing about those politicians vying to be in the national assembly come next dispensatiuon. God help this nation. |
Why sre people still wearing hijabs in the north? |
lanxebony:That answers it. You have a point |
Organisers of this march did a poor job. Ideally, mobilization should have started on the internet; facebook, twitter, nairaland, lindaikeji should have been used as a leverage. All the relevant agencies and companies should have been invited. I guess this is what u get when you keep everything low key and secrecy. Organisers should go back to the drawing board. They can surely do better than what the cameroonians did. |
The same cameroon that colluded with its franco- semi islamic neighbors (chad and niger) to mock nigeria while boko haram elements used its porous borders to carry out hit and run attacks in nigerian territories. Nigeria should as a nation wake up from its slumber, we have neighbors who are filled with sheer envy. They exploited our weak and corrupt system, turned us into a horror movie show, mocking our military. Alas, BH start to carry out murderous attacks on their land, they mobilise support for their troop (something we as a nation should learn from). While nigeria would extend a helping hand to countries in need of help(sierra leone, liberia, sudan, south africa, congo), these ingrate neighbors would rather watch us torn to piece. Has anyone stopped to ask why BH start to lose this war when other nations around us block their flank which they depended on to carry out fluid attacks on our soil. Nigerians, we have no other place but nigeria to call home.Let us be proud of our nation and our troops. |
OMG.When will these highway madness stop? They have suceeded in creating more woes in the society, more orphans and widowers are left to suffer for the rest of their life. Where is the love for one another in this country. Those assigned with the responsibility of protecting our lives are not better than the boko haram elements. I wonder the manner of psycie of the personnels recruited in our various security agencies these days. Lunatics and the mentally deranged humans armed with guns and posing as the great custodians of nigeria. Shame on every govt agencies in this country that allows its men get away with such acts without prosecution. This is human life we are dealing with here, it cannot be bought in the market. These ladies went out to fend for their families, this is how the society rewards them. So annoying, and painful to tears. |
Funniest post in a long time. And to think the world is going to come crashing down. Its just windows playing pranks on you.Dude is really funny. I guess we were once there too at a time. LOL |
joromi:Do your math, globally the standard cost for a megawatt is one million dollar, ethiopias reconnaisance dam would cost 4.8 billion dollars, expected to generate 5,000 megawatt or thereabout. |
If the commisioned power station is ready and rearing to go full blast and all that hampers its take off is lack of gas to power it, the administration deserves to be commended, but why wait till this time. Thumbs up to GEJ, anyways. |
nkowaputa:Both political looters and yahoo boys are criminals. They all deserve the same punishment. |
Why doesnt this bill punish those found to be defrauding or looting the nations treasury by cyber means (offshore looting) or those found to be sponsoring terrorism via the internet. As far as i am concerned, this bill was ill concieved and to think it was hurriedly passed in an unusually hasty manner. The bill needs to be revisited. |
jerflakes:Lol, how do you u know this is what death in xplosion feels like?Have you been there. |
Some days ago, i was pleading to school leavers to take a shot at enroling for jamb polytechnics since university admission is hard to come by these days. They simply didnt buy the idea as they replied me saying polytechnic education is a waste of time and resources. This policy has corrobated the youths decision not to enrol for polytechnic or NCE education as they are neither ready to play second fiddle, misplaced priority by our govt knows no boundary. God save this country. |
As i type, i am contemplating closing down my business of more than two years as i enjoy on the average only one hour power supply to my business as a result i spend half of my profit of fueling my generator and repair. In my vicinity where i do business, virtually all businesses have closed down. Here we are and the lying president is spilling rubbish.Nigerians deserve more than this. |
My take on this war:Boko haram was never a west african idea but an islamice idea rooted and hatched in the the core islamic states. After boko haram, more etremist islamic groups would most likely raise their heads. Etremism of islamic derivative originated in the middle east, with the help of the western world govts in that part of the world have been truggling to contain them. The rich arab nations should block all sources of funds from getting into terrorists hands. Iran and the west cannot be exempted as they are known to arm islamic groups and ally nations that tilt towards religious extrimism. West african govts should wake up, sheath their pride and work together b4 this thing consumes us all. |
i cant wait to have governor Babatunde Raji Fashola as the next minister of power. The tide is about to change. Vote the stealing party out. March 28, 2015. We will wait for them @ the polls. |
Try a system restore to a later date. It worked for me just a day ago, after a viral attack.Hope it works for you. For disaster recovery always schedule your PC to back up your registry. PC disaster can be hellish.Wish ur system soonest recovery. |
I am feeling this kings courage to stare at evil in the eye. The king is a trained pilot with years of war experience. Isnt he the best man for the job?Maybe some of our leaders should take a cue from him. All hail the COMMANDO KING. ISIS is in trouble, never heard of a king who dresses in full battle gear to confront the enemy ( probably some recorded in he holy books). http://finance.yahoo.com/news/photo-king-jordan-looking-badass-132100812.html |
Henceforth, recruitment into the Nigerian Armed Forces must be strictly by merit and unwavering spirit to die for the country. The days of man know man policy must come to an end. See how low we have gotten. |

The presidency should immediately query the DHQ, this is the line of action that would be taken in any sane country. I doubt if the presidency would do so. Its sad that soldiers are fleeing battle fronts and the top brass of the military equally ignoring warnings. The DHQ should immediately issue a statement to clarify these claims. They should exhibit proffesionalism in this war against boko haram. |
Jeboy:Bros, seven gbosa forr you.Let the best candidate win the upcoming election. |
Both asari dokubo, boyloaf and T.Y danjuma are elites of this nation who have plundered the wealth of this nation for years. They are all selfish baboons who fight to protect their shares of the national cake. These set of people have the privilege and wherewithal to fight for the common poverty battered nigerian, but they would rather sell the countrys interest to the highest bidder. They all pretend to fight for the interest of their regions but we all know what they fight for. Coincidentally, these people come from the poorest and most deprived region of the country. What we need is a patrotic leader who feels the suffering of the common man on the street and is ready to battle corruption and poverty headlong, not selfish, self-serving individuals like thaese people.Long live the federal republic of nigeria. |
No economics super power runs on generator. Nigerian economy is an exception. The contry where things are done upside, thanks to 16 years of PDP misrule. They made us believe that power generation is space science. This feburary, we must boot them out. Enough of these intent wickedness. |
Anytime anenih makes political statements prior to elections, his party loses. PDP should take note, anenih has just handed the presidential baton to the opposition. Very laughable. |
It is utterances like this that hinder the growth of this great nation. The greatest enemy of this nation are the elites, politicians and not the tribes that make up the nation. If a niger deltan fails to tackle corruption and bring in economic growth then we should do the needful and vote him out and bring any other candidate irrespective of its tribe and region who will get the job done. America was built by people who believed in the american dream and not the dream of the different races that make up america. Nigeria has more than oil to offer the world. |
I am glad the youths of this country are finally engaging themselves in discussions that affext the country as a whole.Dont say you dont like politics, so its not ur business. The govt of the day does not provde cheap, stable power supply for the telcos to power their masts, so the telcos pass the bulk expenses to u the consumer. Imagine if the cost of petrol is reduced to 67 naira and diesel reduced to 89 naira, then u the youths can go out thereand clamore for reduction in internet browsing rate, which the telcos would gladly yield to. We have a govt that has over a decade record of corruption and looting.Youths of nigeria, on feburary 14, go out there with your PVC, say enough is enough and vote out this corrupt govt//party.Tell them you deserve more than this.It is now or never. |
