Politics › Re: U.S. Airstrikes Hit ISIS inside Syria For The First Time by persius555(m): 9:26am On Sep 23, 2014
arresa: US funded ISIL?

How? Please educate me.
The US funded the ISIS through CIA connivance with political oppositions figures that were against al-assads govt(a staunch and long time ally of russia). Years ago, most of these political figures were taking refuge in either america or western countries. The arab outburst that started in tunisia presented an oppourtunity for these guys and the CIA to overthrow al-assad just as ghadaffi was overthrown. The US is threading a path that we must pray will not lead to WWWIII.

US interest in nigeria is something only the US can explain, but certainly it is now obvious that the obama govt does not mean well for our dear country. It predicted the disintegration of the country recently, i believe they are seriously working towards the actualisation. One thing they quickly forget is that we are nigerians, we mighthave challenges with widespread corruption, widespread poverty and all but we can create oaisis from deserts At least, now we know we really need to look deeply inwards as there are really no international friends out there, just friends with interest. Years of overdepence on every thing foreign has finally brought us down on our knees.

idupaul: High tech aerial surveillance with what exactly? Last time I checked the single 26 year old alpha doesn't have such capabilities.

Please the only hope we have now is to make sure those new attack helicopter get active and confront BH in this new training ground
NAF could make use of high tech paramilitary drones as a makeshift plant. Many of these drones have been used effectively in rugged terrains such as the ice cold northern hemisphere. Some have recorded over 48 hrs flying over regions ten time as big as maiduguri. With satellite communicaion support providedd by nigerias Nigcomsat, this is certainly workable. By the way, its been llong we heard from the satellite agency, it should be an asset in this war.

The rap scene is on a lull. Neva knew people still follow rap as b4. Remember the days of Eedris abdulkareem, trybesmen, rugged man, modenine and the rest. Since M.I emerged, seems everyone just left the scene for him to feast on. Maybe he has run out of steam in the abscence of serious competition.

If this is true, than its about time the NA and especially the NAF carry out high tech aerial surveillance on this area. Let them rain down as many missiles and bombs as soon as this as been comfirmed. Op, thanks for making your information public. Hope DHQ looks into this.

davitogreat: well tell that to china, rwanda, uganda, angola, saudi arabioa, belarus then.
speaking your mind is a God given right but it dosent mean that leaders in power have to abide by it.
Especially when looking at developing countries. The amount of media censoring that goes on in the VAST majority of developing countries is alarming. A lot of the leaders of those countries believe that by censoring the media they can have stability in their nations.

(sadly this is true. Suppressing media does provide a measure of stability in developing nations)

If we look at Nigeria today one of the major reasons this country is so polarizing and divided is the fact that our media is free to churn out anything they see fit without fear. Again its thier right but you can see how much damage it causes. The fact Jonathan is not acting like many leaders in other countries who use the bruising of thier egos or the so called "unity of the nation" in this current political climate as a means to silence his opponents is commendable.

let me ask you a question..

What do you think would happen to the stability of china if the government stooped suppressing their media content? I can assure you things wont be anywhere as stable as it is today.

what do you think would happen in rwanda if the hutus had the free reign to come together and speak out publicly about the discrimination and oppression kagame is pouring out towards them? Do you think rwanda would be as peaceful as it is today? Do you think they would be still making great economic strides as they are doing presently?

the world is a very complex place.
I hope u are not suggesting that we become another rwanda or uganda.Abacha days are still fresh in our memory. As for america, its foreign policies are partly responsible for the ongoing crisis in the middle east. America is becoming a pain in the butt.
Politics › Re: Another Church Building Collapses In Edo (Real Life Photos) by persius555(m): 3:39am On Sep 21, 2014
This is what happens when a country's building industry is an all comers affair, non existing buiding codes, the enforcing agencies are never alive to their duties, a supervising bricklayer can become a contractor overnight, every tom dick and harry is into roadside block manufacting like roadside akara business . As nigerians, our lives have no standard, our priorities are awkward and mindbuggling. Our sense of reasoning has been traded for insincere religous beliefs.
Politics › Re: Govt Officials Blame The US For Arms Purchase Scandal. by persius555(m): 10:56am On Sep 18, 2014
The same US govt that predicted that nigeria will divide by 2015, refused to treat our ebola patients with their zmapp, the same US govt that its president has refused to pay a visit depite our efforts on the continent to sustain peace and stamp out terrorism. This same US govt stopped france from delivering five navy warships to russia due to their stance on the war in ukraine. I do believe FG is saying the truth about the US secret arm embargo against countries with strong russian military ties.If not what will it gain by wrongly accusing the US, arm an insurgent group that is waging a war to jeopardise its political ambitions b4 next year''s feburary general election. I am not holding brief for this govt that itself has so many shortcomings. Let''s wait for a response to this accusation from uncle sam.

The richest people are sometimes the dumbest in nigeria. The tax system that systematically exempts the rich from paying tax allows this waste to continue. Our poverty is our creation.
Politics › Re: Bomb Blast At FCE Kano? by persius555(m): 4:23pm On Sep 17, 2014
BH cold terror cells have been re-activated. Their war is becoming propaganda in nature as the day goes by. All citizens and agencies must be @ alert. BH is trying at all cost to sustain relevance as they lose foot zombies at the war front. NA must not let them take over maiduguri ,as letting them will grant them access to a base where they can launch more attacks on relatively peaceful states in the north and off course forcefully conscript young civillians into foot soldiers. This war can only be brought to an end on the battlefield.

Politics › Re: Nigerian Army's Campaign In The North Eastern Theatre (Photos) by persius555(m): 9:42am On Sep 17, 2014
At the moment, we are not sure of the numeber of towns the army is in control of. BH seems to be carrying out random surgical attacks all over. Its obvious, they are trying to strech the army with this bee-like ubiquitose attacks. Two things i suspect and observe is that, it is obvious that BH is aware of the number and strength of the NA men presently in the warzone. The recent attempted ambush of the NA in okene was an attempt to stop further deployment of more soldiers to maiduguri, knowing fully well that an upsurp in the numer of troops at the war zone will sway in favor of NA. BH's ultimate plan is to capture maiduguri, forcefully conscript able bodied men in their thousands and launch full scale attack on the north. NA, ABEG......ACT FAST!!!!!!!! DEPLOY THOUSANDS OF TROOP

poiZon: u forget say the people giving them orders and the tactics the army uses are from DEFENSE headquarters. God bless naigeria!
It is obvious that counter insurgency oders and tactics that are dished out from DHQ is not curtailing BH activities. They are gradually encroaching new terrains and are forcibly recruiting civillians into their ranks to take bullets for its course. The NA needs to change its tactics to give a sense of confidence to nigerians.
Politics › Re: Breaking: Fierce Battle Between Nigerian Troops And Boko Haram Ongoing In Kondug by persius555(m): 5:54am On Sep 17, 2014
Insurgencies are globally won with use of modern ariel surveillance. If the military cant get its hands on military lethal grade drones that costs millions of dollars, it can at least go for para military drones that costs far less than 100,000 dolls. With ten of these and a few night capable jet bombers of high precision, killing BH zombie foot soldiers will be a walk in the park. The military should think out of the cap.

hope the army authorities saw this coming, cause we all saw this coming. We dont need intelligence to tell us they will regroup and fight back, i just hope the NA army and the NAF especially are well prepared this time. I wish the military best of luck. Give BH hell, cause they asked for it.

Politics › Re: Military Fires GOC Attacked By Convicted Soldiers by persius555(m): 4:32am On Sep 17, 2014
They should be summarily pardoned and subsuqiuently retired with their benefits paid. Keeping them in the army might seem to underrate the senior army authority. The presidency should also look deep into curbing corruption in the army, as all these confusion can also be traced to corruption in the army cadre. Corruption breeds mistrust, especially in a discipling setup like the army.
Politics › Re: 12 Soldiers Who Attacked GOC Sentenced To Death by persius555(m): 5:49am On Sep 16, 2014
The soldier's action was totally uncalled for, but the judgement should be reverse to compulsory retirement with their benefits immediately paid, in the spirit of the ongoing war against insurgency going on in the north. The judgement if carried out might affect the morals of men presently at the warfront. We underestimate the long term effect of corruption in this country. The presidency should at least be sincere enough to admit therew is corruption in the military.

Well said. When this insiugency shit is over, i hope the presidency would immediately look into allegations of massive corruption that is leaving a rot in the military. It is dangerous for a country's military to condone corruption as this might lead to disaffections in the military cadre. Soldiers are human too.

We spend more to generate loss. The amount of money pumped into this sector since 1999 will generate and transmit more than twice of what south africa is presently producing. I spend close to a thousand naira on fuel for a business that i make less than two thousnd daily, i still fuel my gen and pay huge crazy nepa bills at home and in my business. Our poverty is some individual''s wealth in this country.God save us from corruption.

Nigerians should embrace this product. For those who are complaining and grumbling, if u have nothing to offer, just ignore and move on.No one is forcing you to buy. America would not be what it is today, if the founders had the pessimist attitude that some nairalanders exhibit.

Great, we all know that the NA is capable of defeating these knuckle heads(BH itself knows this)The slightest breathing space they get is hurriedly made to get everyone's attention. I just hope the NA has a contigency plan to encircle them between those three states and this war once and for all. ISIS is getting weaker by the day, we should also be on the counter offensive and wipe them out for good.
