Investment / Make Your Money Work For You Through Investments. by Peteroluebube: 12:53pm On Dec 14, 2023
As you move to the new year and consider today's financial landscape, making your money work for you through strategic investments is a key element of wealth-building. Rather than letting your funds remain idle, investing allows you to grow your wealth over time potentially.

1. Start a Side Business: Consider starting a side business or investing in a small venture. Entrepreneurial endeavours can provide additional income streams.
2. Real Estate: Real Estate investments have recently gained popularity. One can invest in REITs for a diversified real estate portfolio without directly owning physical properties.
3. Stock Market Investments: Investing in individual stocks presents a valuable opportunity to grow your wealth. Conduct comprehensive research and carefully choose companies with strong fundamentals and promising growth potential before considering investing in their shares.
4. Dividend-Paying Stocks: Diving into dividend-paying stocks is a strategic investment approach. When you invest in these stocks, you are essentially becoming a shareholder in companies that distribute a portion of their profits to investors in the form of dividends.
5. Mutual Funds: These funds are professionally managed and operate by pooling money from numerous investors. The pooled funds are then strategically invested in a diversified portfolio that typically includes a mix of stocks, bonds, and other assets.
6. Education and Skill Development: Invest in yourself by acquiring new skills or furthering your education. This can lead to career advancements and increased earning potential.

Every investment comes with its own set of risks, and it's crucial to conduct thorough research or consult with financial advisors before making decisions.

Nairaland / General / Success Story Of Financial Literacy Programme - Fingreen by Peteroluebube: 4:49pm On Sep 25, 2023
Being financially literate is one of the best skills youths can acquire, especially based on how economically challenging it has been in recent times. However, financial literacy isn’t directly taught in school, which is why I give big ups to organisations that develop initiatives to educate and equip youths with financial literacy skills.

One such initiative that has been making the news in the past year is FinGreen. This programme is the signature financial literacy program of QNET. It was launched in 2021 in Turkey, and then the first phase was launched in Lagos, Nigeria, in 2022 - that phase saw about 600 youths equipped with adequate financial and employability skills. The second phase was just launched in August, and I’m sure it will also have great success. Noteworthy to mention is that this initiative has won some awards, like the NYX Award and IPRA Award.

Once again, the power of financial literacy can't be overstated, especially in these challenging times. Kudos to organizations like FinGreen, dedicated to equipping our youth with crucial financial skills!

Events / Direct Selling Conferences by Peteroluebube: 4:47pm On Jul 20, 2023
Direct selling is a fast and steadily growing industry that offers entrepreneurs genuine business opportunities to empower themselves financially. However, most people aren’t particularly clear on what direct selling means. In layman's terms, direct selling is a business model where products or services are sold directly to consumers outside of a traditional retail setting. That means that instead of buying from a store, customers (you) can purchase products or services directly from the company through its independent representatives or distributors.

One great thing about the industry is the events that offer further insight. Case in point, Direct selling conferences. They are dynamic gatherings where industry professionals share knowledge, insights, and best practices. These events serve as a platform for networking and gaining inspiration to propel your direct-selling business to new heights.

I've been in the direct selling industry for about 2 years and would attend this year's V-Con event hosted by global direct-selling company QNET. So look for which of these conferences work for you and plan to attend if you’re interested in genuinely and legally earning from direct selling.

Programming / Website Developing by Peteroluebube: 7:25pm On May 29, 2023
Every Nigerian who can should learn a digital skill. It's a sweet way to earn extra income, and you can even get remote jobs which pay you in foreign currencies. Legit tech jobs pay well; one such job is website development. A lot of people are venturing into businesses and want to have websites that people can visit to find out more about the business. But website development is no joke. It involves several stages: planning, design, coding, testing, and launching. Developing a website requires a combination of technical skills, creative vision, and an understanding of the user experience and the website's business objectives. Various tools and technologies are available to developers to help create websites, ranging from content management systems to programming languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The goal of website development is to create a site that is visually appealing, easy to navigate, functional and meets its intended audience's needs and expectations.

With the increasing importance of online presence in today's digital age, website development has become a vital part of any business or organisation's marketing strategy, and there is a growing demand for professional website developers to help create and maintain these sites.

Family / Women Empowerment by Peteroluebube: 1:37pm On Mar 09, 2023
Wow!!! What a day.
Yesterday I heard all sorts of amazing stories of gallant women worldwide; lol, I wish I were a woman.
To be honest, Women worldwide do more than just contribute to the economy.
They do so many things worthy of praise without making too much noise about them.
I am a man, but I still think women do much more than us. Physically, emotionally, and psychologically. You name it. Let's even look at childbirth; a whole human being is raised inside them ooo smh; wait till you see a woman in labor to appreciate my point.
Women have more foresight than men, so much so that it feels like they can read the future. They can tell the taste of food before cooking it, and they can sense danger miles ahead etc.
They do so much in homes that men may not be able to pay them for. On average, women dedicate 4 hours and 25 minutes per day of unpaid work on top of their jobs and business.

Advocating for women’s empowerment takes more than a social media post. Women need to be lifted to leadership roles, supported in a business where possible, and allowed to go after their big dreams and ambitions because they carry the future. I once read somewhere that companies with at least 30% of women in leadership positions were, on average, 15% more profitable than those with no female leaders, and I won't doubt that companies run by women may have some advantages over those run by men.
Omo, I am proud to be the son of a woman. Thank you MamaPeter

Crime / Re: My Friend Sold His Kidney For 1M by Peteroluebube: 7:19pm On Feb 20, 2023
You should help your friend and support him. That's what I would do, given his tough situation. It’s also important to look at facts about the business and the company. Personally, I do not think that QNET, which is a well-known global direct selling and e-commerce company, would condone such practices. I’ve also heard about the company from others, and they’re mostly positive feedback on the products they sell - the Bio Disc being one of them. From what I’ve read and seen on some of their videos, Bio Disc is a wellness device that restructures and re-energises water, and some of the benefits are supposedly detoxification, increased energy levels, and just overall good health.
If I may also suggest: Please get your friend to report the incident to QNET’s global support hotline and give the names of those who allegedly took advantage of him. And if they are indeed representatives of QNET, the company will surely take action against them as this violates their policies.
I found these links about the Amezcua Bio Disc online. You should check them out just to understand how it works - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLiemtxt_SxhGp-s6hhlaB_xbdMpBONm2f

DejiPlug:
LET EVERYTHING THAT HAS BREATH PRAISE THE LORD. PRAISE GOD

I write this not to slander, but to intimate my Nigerian brothers and sisters of the dangers lurking outside disguised as biodisk marketing.

Sometime last year a childhood friend confided in me that he was tired of his lifestyle and how he intended to sell one of his kidneys through an agency. I tried to reason with him that it wasn't worth it but he had zeroed his mind on doing it and even showed me the 'reddish' blood enhancement pills he was already taking.

Before you know it, he WhatsApped me that he was running things in Delta state and I should not be concerned about him as he was fine, so everyone became relaxed.

Fast forward to Wednesday, after Valentine, he called to tell me he was back in our hood and needed to see me. We met at a public school in the area and shortly after exchanging pleasantries he suggested we go to my family house to continue our conversation, and I obliged.

When we got home, there was heat due to scorching sun and no electricity which caused me to remove my shirt, while he rolled his top up to chest level and my eye caught a surgically induced mark around his abdomen.

I didn't want to make a fuss initially but after lying that it was yahoo that financed his relocation to Delta, I told him I know it's a surgical procedure that caused the mark and not fetish incisions as he mentioned.

With this confrontation he confessed that being broke and rejection from those he loved forced him to sell one of his kidneys, of which he got only 1million for it.

Life after the sale didn't go as planned as he ended up being cheated on, duped of, stolen from and extorted by police till he was back to zero. Had to sell his phones and work briefly as security to raise money to return to Lagos.

He mentioned getting introduced to the organ harvesters through some boys marketing biodisk (QNet), and that he signed a contract shortly after.

In our area, these youths are identified as hostel boys; they (boys and girls) huddle together in a designated building and come out in droves to market a "supposedly groundbreaking technology" to underprivileged folks.

Now a friend has fallen victim, having lost so much on so many levels, now homeless, and the agency doesn't want anything to do with him.

The essence of this Epistle is
1. To reiterate the importance of involving GOD in our plans. (He believes in doing and inviting GOD afterwards)

2. To utterly condemn the get rich syndrome of nowadays youths. (He wasn't satisfied with trickles of blessings but comparing himself with others we grew up with who owned properties and traveled abroad)

3. To pray against bad company. (He never would have given much thought to hostel boys if he moved more with church boys).

Now he's asking to stay at my house for sometime.

Sincerely, what would you do?

Jobs/Vacancies / QNET Does Not Request A Huge Payment Before Granting Employment. by Peteroluebube: 3:55pm On Jan 29, 2023
It is sad. We will significantly reduce many job scams if we take time out to thoroughly research any company we are hoping to work for or approached by people to pay large sums of money for registration.

A friend of mine also fell victim to this scam, where they asked her to sign up by paying a massive sum for job registration at QNET. I know that registering on QNET is free, and the company does not offer jobs. It is a major direct-selling company that offers products ranging from health, beauty, lifestyle and education through an e-commerce platform.

For a couple of years, I have purchased beauty products from QNET, and I did not have to pay a dime to join QNET. The company does not ask for payment for registration. Any offer that poses as QNET and requests that you must pay a large sum of money before registering is a scam and goes against the company's principles.

Any amount I paid to the company is for purchasing the product I am interested in and nothing else. You can always register on their online store portal at QNET.net and enrol for free.

A friend did this to me around October last year. His facebook name is RAYMOND AKPAN.

The actual amount is 550k not 500. Maybe , they subsidized it for u

The company is called QNET.

They'd lure u with a secret job that has a lucrative salary.
In my own case, he said his uncle is one of their top agents and he (my friend) is already working their.

That he's undergoing 3months training.

That I should Keep 550k being money for accommodation, visa and a yearly trip to Malaysia.

He later called me that I've selected for an Interview.

I spent all night researching about interview questions and preparing on d answers.

I paid a drycleaner to specially iron my suit.

My friend even asked me to send him my ID card, NIN , CV and passport via whatsapp (which I did)

He asked me to get him fresh bread while coming.

He asked me to come 3 days before d interview date then lodge in a hotel.

It's a long story sha.

Brethren...

I traveled from ABIA STATE to LAGOS to meet him.

Spent over 30k only for his colleagues to tell me that am an unserious human being.

They wanted me to pay d 550k and join them.

After which I'd go and start looking for 2 people that'll register under me else I won't be paid a kobo

Like I said, its a long story.

I told my friend that I spent over 30k on that journey and even showed him my bus ticket as proof.

I begged him to refund at least 5k out of that 30k I wasted but he refused.

Raymond Akpan, if u ever read this post, just know that u are a cursed soul.

I regret ever meeting u in this life

I’m pretty confused, though. You first said that a friend of yours duped you, and then you mentioned that the company is QNET. Qnet didn’t offer you a secret job with a lucrative salary, or ask you to pay over 500k before getting the job; that was all your friend. So why mention QNET?
The QNET, I know, would instead invite people to teach them how to identify scams and be financially literate, not ask them to come and work for pharmacies, as they did with the FinGreen initiative last year. This link discusses this in detail. https://www.qbuzz.qnet.net/2022/06/27/qnet-fingreen/.

Goodevening all,
Please I just wanna to get information for those who have heard about quest international company (Qnet)
Someone invited me for an interview with them but I can't rely know weather it's a scam job because I have not been able to get useful information about the organization, I was invited to come to Lagos for the job, that's why I have to ask here for those of us that have heard about the organization, pls any information that u Know about the organization, pls share with me

I agree with you on finding out more information. We can never be 100% safe from job scams. However, we can conduct an online search about QNET to get more information. Visiting a company's website highlights sketchy schemes and authentic business organisations.

We can always press those introducing the jobs with questions like; What is the company's name? Where are they located? What are their official social media accounts? What kinds of products do they sell? It can help us compare the responses to the information we get from the Internet. Make sure you do your research and do not accept links and social media handles from those giving the offer because they could be fake.

Connecting with QNET using their emails or contact buttons is advisable to determine if they offer jobs. When asked to divulge personal information, we can verify the need for such information since scammers often seek personal data in their operations.

Let's consider vast money payments at any stage of the recruitment process as a red flag.
Know that any genuine recruiter will never ask for cash in exchange for employment.

How QNET is a Direct selling company.

I just read your post, and the illustration used to properly explain direct selling was spot-on. I’m glad you mentioned QNET because their Direct selling model is one of the best. Like you said in your post, direct selling is the act of selling goods directly to customers outside a retail setting. It is a legitimate business strategy used by many companies in commerce and otherwise to sell products and services. While products are typically sold online or in physical stores, direct selling mainly relies on salespeople meeting customers in unconventional places.

However, because so many businesses have been investigated for adopting marketing strategies, direct sales, especially MLM and network marketing, have received a poor reputation.

Pyramid schemes are frauds and unlawful, whereas direct selling is entirely legal. It is a crime to recruit people into a pyramid scheme in the United States, and the Federal Trade Commission is the main organization in charge of putting an end to such situations.

QNET is a highly effective multi-level marketing, direct selling business. On its online store, the business offers a wide range of goods, including those for energy, weight loss, nutrition, personal care, home care, fashion accessories, travel, and commemorative coins.

Their independent agents are able to keep the freedom to run a business on their terms thanks to the complete support of a cutting-edge e-commerce ecosystem, efficient logistics, and industry-leading customer care that QNET offers.

Direct selling experts evaluate QNET products and services based on the company's standards to see how they stack up in terms of customer service, dependability, and trustworthiness of the distributor.

Direct selling is the act of selling goods directly to customers outside of a retail setting. Instead, sales take place online, at work, at home, and in other non-store places. Distributors sell goods directly to customers by avoiding middlemen in the supply chain using direct selling.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Orezone!? Gold Quest!?: The Sinister Plot Of Qnet. Job Scam In Burkina Faso by Peteroluebube: 12:35am On Oct 29, 2022
QNET is a well-known global e-commerce company that uses the direct-selling model to empower its distributors to become resellers of a wide range of products it offers in health, wellness, lifestyle, and education through an e-commerce platform.

The company has been in business for over 24 years and operates in countries like Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Germany. They have become popular with consumers while offering a great business opportunity for thousands of people who join as independent representatives. Unfortunately, some scammers exploit the company's popularity and ideology of Raising Yourself to Help Mankind (RYTHM) to carry out fraudulent activities. The company condemns these scams and is prepared to join anyone willing to help clump down such.

QNET does not recruit people or promise travel opportunities; they only sell products and provide opportunities for people who want to make an honest income or build their business by becoming independent representatives of the company.

True QNET representatives will not offer a job opportunity, ask you to relocate to a different country, or ask you to pay money for a work permit or medical fitness checks. Anyone making such claims is fake and not from QNET.

In short, QNET is a company that makes it possible for distributors to sell products, and in return, they earn commissions on the sales they make. They are not a recruitment agency, as some fraudsters often claim in their scams.

The company is one of the world’s largest direct-selling and e-commerce companies. It provides an excellent opportunity for people who sign up as distributors to become entrepreneurs and earn a decent income.

A quick search on QNET.net will provide you with all the facts on the company.

AndyOk127:
What will be your reflexive reaction if you are told that you have an opportunity to work with international gold cooperation that pays 200 dollars per week and a palatable working hour! All you need to do is come with 600 thousand Naira (or your local currency equivalent) for your work permit, medical fitness check and other working preliminaries for an immigrant. Wow! Sounds like your dream opportunity and a way to JAPA (JAPA is a common parlance for leaving Nigeria for a better country as a result of the debilitating condition of her economy, politics, and general societal flaws)

With the apparition of such opportunity, there is the inherent Thomas that serves as a scrutiny and check for every opportunity of scandalousness nonetheless the other side of us trumps this cynical clairvoyance with the sentiment of trust for the carrier of the “good” news. After a period of tussle with your inner matrix and your rationality, you decide to be daring and give it a risk, Afterall, you know this person offering the opportunity.

Well, the above is just a prelude to a one week of adventurousness and first-hand experience of how I fell for the Qnet job scam in Burkina Faso. Hence, it is a moral responsibility to unmask the hideous operation of this swelling swath in bobo Dioulasso, Burkina Faso. Hopefully this will save any one from the whole daringness and desperado of going down to Burkina Faso, and serve as an information for security personnel to put these people in check. Hopefully, the companies being impersonated, sees reason to make a public disclaimer and proceed to legal action as this is a case of impersonation and sabotage of company’s reputation.

So, what are we talking about?
In the simplest way of expression, the whole job whisk is disguise of a marketing company called Qnet! Because of its stampeded image in the internet, many branches of their operation have found it impossible to garner more members, which is the only way of retrieving your startup capital. Bombay HC order better describes the ideological conception of Qnet when he said “It is a chain where a person is fooled and then he is trained to fool others to earn money”.

A simple query in the web with the following key words “is Qnet a scam”? will fetch several articles warning against their unethical operation. Wikipedia extensively exposes Qnet, down to revealing that its operation is considered illicit in many countries “The company operates legally in some countries, but has been charged as a Ponzi scheme and multi-level marketing in countries like India. The government of India and the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India banned the site in the country after a protest spread in Bangalore”.

Now you see why they take different names to obfuscate their true identity; because if you are told “Qnet”, you will do your findings and save yourself the hassle and futile escapade.

Inside Qnet bobo Dioulasso, Burkina Faso
the operation of this unethical group is easy to flaw in an in-person view of their lodging accommodation and supposed company house. They operate sanctimoniously and talk so much about being millionaires back home and being “on a low” in Burkina Faso.

They stay in a rented 2-bedroom flat apartment which is uncomfortably overcrowded with over house mates. They reverence the new intakes and try to act like it’s just a process of acculturation, but in reality it is a bait.

Their office of operation is stamped with motivational quotes and they try to compel you to sign a form of membership. On this form, there is a section that confirms your willingness to join and ensures you are not coerce but in reality, they coarse you with every non-violent way possible. A retrospective view of the setting can easily make one associate them with a level of sectism and even cultism by extension of reasoning.

So why do they still operate and gain new members?
Imagine telling your friends and family that you are finally leaving Nigeria for search of a greener pasture, if you are that type, you may even brag about it and to crown it, this swath is bobo Dioulasso advice you to come without doing your proper immigration paper and working with a syndicate of currency exchangers and illegal transit agent, they manage to smuggle you through the blind spots of the borders between countries.

Hence, when it is dawn on the new recruits that they have just been swindled by their friend or family, they undergo a period of shock and disillusionment, considering their trust that has been trampled upon, this matures to a state of compromise and salvage when they consider the people back home that they have bragged to about their relocation and the entire journey back home especially alone, without the assistant of the Qnet agents that plot the illicit travel; they regret it all but reluctantly ossifies to a level of salvage, a spirit of resilience that motivates them to thrive irrespective of the odds. And like religion, once they accept this fate, they start to believe in it and begin their own campaign to recruit more people, using new pseudonym to seduce more people to this trap!

My take and solution
To tackle this syndicate is something beyond the writings of a scholar. Well, a couple person will be saved from this Burkina Faso job scam, but in the near distance, the Qnet operation in Burkina Faso will find a different synonym to mask their identity and in fact, facilitate more illegal migration and scam. The onus therefor lies in the hands of the government of Burkina Faso and the companies being impersonated to expedite action to stop this sect. The banning of their operation by countries like India and many more is the best call to action and I hope Burkina Faso follows suit.

Finally, before traveling out of your country or going for any opportunity, make sure to do exponential research of the opportunity, ask for images, videos, and every other thing that can clear every doubt.

I have chosen to exclude name mentioning and exact location description unless I am required by the rightful parties. I for one will make sure the rightful parties are informed of this scam, stay safe and daring!

The organizations using names like Quest International or Quest Global are not the same as QNET.

QNET was first known as GoldQuest, at a time when the company made custom-commissioned commemorative coins and later began selling jewellery and watches. As the company added more products to its portfolio and the e-commerce platform evolved, the name GoldQuest was no longer suitable and was subsequently changed to QuestNet and then shortened to QNet in 2010.

They do not take money for training or promise to take people abroad. They offer a wide range of products that they sell through an e-commerce platform.

Guy run ooo!!! Run as far and fast as ur legs can take you from that company.
It's pure scam.

A friend got scammed last month by this "QNET" aka Quest Global. Same 500k for supposed training and all sorts.

Guys be careful out there.
Ask questions, loads of them, when you are unsure about an opportunity that looks too juicy.

Wicked men are seriously preying on others.

I am an entrepreneur, How can I receive empowerment from QNET??

QNET is one of the world’s largest direct selling and E-commerce companies. When individuals sign up as distributors, QNET provides a great opportunity for them to become entrepreneurs and earn a descent income.

With QNET, all you need is a little cash to buy some of their products and sell. You go receive commission on every sale you make. Others and I have been able to earn extra cash doing this business.
