to take up jobs which Nigerians are able to do. God forbid. Go and check some indian companies like Sterling exploration and see what is going on there. indians all over the place. Better respect urself at El-Rufai

My dear nairaland family, my conscience will fail me if i dont give back. Woe unto me if i dont narrate my interview transcript with a chinese looking VO on window 2. it went thus.

VO: Goodmorning
ME & Wife: Morning to u.
VO: Pass me ur passport please
Me: Passes two passports
VO: Who isnt applying for a visa?
Me: My daughter(3yrs old. She went with us). its a private vacation for me and my wife and my kids will be staying with the nanny and my mother whom am responsible for and lives with me.
VO: What do u do sir?
Me: Am a Senior Drilling Engineer.
VO: Do u have any travel history?
Me: Yes. studied in France. Returned to Nigeria after my studies and bn working since then.
VO: Which company is that again?
Me: xyz company
VO: Was it first or second degree u studied in France?
Me: Masters in xxxxxxx Engineering
VO: Very good.
VO: Maam what do u do pls?
Wife: Am a stay at home Mum for now
VO: U r a home-maker?
Me: Cuts in, She will remain a home-maker until my little son becomes 3yrs atleast. She will hopefully start working.
VO: Where in US are u going?
ME: Miami Florida
VO: Thanks for applying. Flips white paper. Pick up ur visa in 3days time at (points VI on the white paper)
Me: Walks out majestically with my wife and daughter.

Meanwhile this guy has been rejecting and flipping blue papers anyhow even to married couples without children. Majority of people with children got their visa. This particular young couple was given a visa and she said she was going to give birth. she was visibly pregnant. She was asked why wont she birth in Nigeria and she said she lost one baby bla bla and they have really saved to ensure their baby is birthed in the Usa. She showed a payment kind of paper to the VO and they were issued a visa. I intentionally took my daughter there as a tie even though she wasnt an applicant and i ensured he is aware of my other child who is at home.
She was all over the place disturbing the peace of the hall.

I filled our DS-160 myself honestly at home. Our mission is pure and we hope to spend just 3weeks. it is indeed a private getaway for me and my angel. The kids arent wanted in this one.

@ petersje8. Please contact me on whatsapp so I can share the pics with you they were just re-sent to me.

I do not want to post the images online so my guy does not get into trouble.

sorry if u find my post offensive. Am just very sure the info u gave me was incorrect. I have also reconfirmed from customs and their result largely stand in isolation to what u have provided. This car was inside a container and was cleared at tincan island. i bought the car in the US. Am out.

this is what was found on the system.

Rubbish. I doubt the authenticity of your contact and information. Infact what the customs official told me on the road was that my car was cleared as a single cabin instead of a double cabin. But I decided to give u a false narrative just to see if you will come up with similar story with that of a custom officer.
How on earth will a custom officer let me go with my 2004 tundra when the paper says "DAF Truck".

Well the good news is I went to federal office and they confirmed my papers are authentic.

Thanks.

Dear Gazuzz. Please I require help urgently. I have a Toyota tundra 2004 and custom people stopped me around Benin while travelling. They said the papers are fake though I so much doubt it because they eventually let me go after taking some drinks from my car. The number I can see here is C107587. Was cleared at Tincan island in 2014. We are in the village and scared of coming back to Lagos.

* Date of assessment.
* Name of vehicle.

Do not send Chassis/Vin.

all the states in Nigeria are bigger than lagos. but then again, landmass doesnt translate to prosperity otherwise Niger and Borno states will be the richest. Also Russia and Kharzastan will be on the levels of America and Germany.

My dear. We all should be ashamed of ourselves. A state like Osun shld be condemned. If Osun collects N40m monthly and given another bailout, it means he will not have any allocation from FG going forward. We shldnt be tribals here on NL. If we go by the way yorubas carry sophistication this and that for head, then every SW states should be like lagos if it is their own making. But that is not the case. U know wat, even war thorn states are doing better than Osun. Think abt it bro. Borno and Yobe are not worst hit but Osun is. Condemn him bro. As for Rochas, he is a disgrace. I hate and condemn him for messing up my state.

Hmmm...

Interestingly, all the "sophisticated" states are well represented there except, of course, Lagos.

U can imagine a whole state collecting paltry N40m monthly. I can even give them that one. Too bad.

Thank God for Lagos. If not, SW and Mogadishu go dey compete. Have u wondered why the most patriot and "one Nigeria" singers are the yorubas? They are fighting with their last blood to blast anything concerning Biafra and Nnamdi Kanu. Imagine with the much noise about Lagos loosing investments to Ogun, still yet, nothing to show for it. Am an advocate of one Nigeria but I always wonder why the yorubas carry the matter for head. Also I thought that there Coacoa and Gold deposits in Osun? Nonsense.

Politics / Umuoma Emerge In Yojus "Painting Star Contest" 2nd Edition by petersje8: 4:08pm On Nov 03, 2015
Winners Emerge in Yojus ‘Painting Star Contest’ 2nd Edition

The second edition of the annual Yojus Painting Star Contest was held on Saturday, 24thOctoberin Lagos. The highly competitive, yet fun-filled programme is sponsored by Ranona Limited, a member of Olam group. The theme for this year’s Painting contest is “Our Beautiful World”and was reflected in the painting of the shortlisted pupils, who emerged as finalists having undergone rigorous screening.

ChiziteramOnyia, a primary five pupil from New Fountain School, Amuwo-Odofin emerged first;Iyoha Peculiar of S-Tee School, Festac emerged second; and Franc UcheEgbuchilam of MbariMbayo School, Jibowu emerged third.
Brand Manager, Yojus Fruit Drink, Foluke Makinde, laid emphasis on the brand’s identity, stating that it is lively and colourful.

In her words, “Yojus as a brand explores the colourful and fun loving nature of children and also engages their imagination. We have discovered that there are lots of kids out there who are extremely talented, with this contest we intend to help them express their artistic imagination, encourage and also reward them”

Makinde also added that Yojus Painting Star Contest has come to stay, and it will get bigger and better through participation from more schools. Those who could not participate in this year’s edition should anticipate subsequent editions.

According to Ibrahim Ganiyu, Artiste, Art Educator and Co-judge at the contest, “The level of creativity displayed is amazing; the theme has been well expressed in painting by the children; and the event is well organized. I had a lot of fun seeing the wonderful things that children can do when empowered with the right tools. This is a contest that should be held at least twice a year to encourage our children to become creative thinkers”

The best painting, done by ChiziteramOnyia is a painting of the beach at sunset which the judges described as a beautiful work with good space management, fantastic colour combination, creative, neat and with proper interpretation of the theme.

The event was fun filled as the other pupils were engaged in series of activities, there couldn’t have been more fun.

Launched in March 2010, Yojus comes in six different flavours; Orange, Pineapple, apple, blackcurrant, Multifruit and strawberry. Yojus is widely accepted by children and parents for its great taste, rich fruity flavours and nutritional benefits.

None are lies though and nobody is talking about oil because as a matter of fact Ondo's oil dwarf the oil generated in the whole of southest!
However, a dullard like you should know we are talking of of internal revenue and not oil! I wonder what kind of dunces ibos parents are breeding as children!
As a matter of fact, Osun's igr dwarf that of Imo! That of Ondo, Ogun and Oyo dwarf that of Ebonyi, Anambra, abia while Lagos's. Igr dwarfs the whole of SE put together!
Ibos and frauds, very synonymous! Imagine them trying ti shift the goal post to their inconsequential igr!
Shameless parasites!

Keep deceiving yourself. You can claim the performance indices of Oyo, Osun. Ogun and Ondo. Lagos is no man's land. Deal with it bro. It's A NO MAN's Land. We Igbos are the driving force there. GO AND DIE.

django1:

So you mean the IGR of other states are a result of taxes from just a single ethnic group?

Do not forget that Lagos is still majorly Yoruba in everything (economy, politics and culture).

Just as the south south has the advantage of oil, south west has the advantage of Lagos, a strategically located state with abundant human resources.

Lagos is part and parcel of south west.
Politics / Re: States Internally Generated Revenue: See How Much Your State Generates. by petersje8: 8:07pm On Oct 26, 2015
Bro, are we still on this matter? Lagos is no man's land na. I grew up to know that Lagos is no man's land. If u like, speak grammar from now till whenever, Yoruba doesn't own Lagos and didn't make Lagos. This will be the very last time I will address this issue.
superstar1:

If SW was not habitable, just like SE and NE, you would have seen yorubas migrating to other regions in droves, as being witnedssed in the migration of Syrians to Europe and Eritreans to Europe.

Alas, the reverse is the case, with more people migrating to SW in a ratio of 1500:1 when compared to the ones emigrating out of SW to other regions.

Yeah, agreed other parts of SW might not be on the same level as Lagos. You will also agree with me that there is no mass exodus out of those places to other regions. That means the standard of living, infrastructure and nature is better than other regions.
Politics / Re: States Internally Generated Revenue: See How Much Your State Generates. by petersje8: 8:05pm On Oct 26, 2015
None Abeg ignore the mofos. Lagos is no man's land.

somegirl1:

You keep jumping from debate to debate. Habitability was never the basis for this debate. The SE is actually quite habitable and accommodating to non-indigenes. Many people just prefer to form an opinion without having had first hand experience of the region and its people.
Take a look at the land mass of what is left of the SE (after the SS was carved out from it) relative to other regions. It is the tiniest region. The entire land mass of core SE states is almost the same as that of Oyo state. It shouldn't come as a surprise that SE indigenes would spread out to other parts of the country and continent regardless of habitability.
