Fifa should have tested the popularity of this VAR stuff by allowing every country to vote on it at the General FIFA congress meeting before adopting. The reason why football is the most popular sport in the world is because it has human elements governing it's regulation and rules. If it becomes too computerized and mechanical it will become uninteresting and people will lose interest. It is not tennis or golf.

The use of VAR should be reviewed and put to a vote after the world cup. If majority of the world Congress vote in favour of it's use then I guess we are stuck with it. I'm sure the Koreans, Australians would vote against it.

Wow! Those songs are on youtube now? I remember searching for Mike okra classics some years but i only got omoge audio. Those 90s classics were the bomb. Too much sensless lyrics and profanities in the music we have these days.

Some are on YouTube now. Premier music has really done a good job uploading them unfortunately you can't download many as the download buttons on them are disabled. I don't know if there is a way around that.

I was able to download tickle me by Alex zitto and it has been on repeat all day.

There is this classic mike okri song I've been looking out for. I can't really remember the title and lyrics but the video was a bit creepy and terrified my little head those days. It was shot in forest and a woman was tied to a tree (I think) with her assailants carrying sticks of fire.

Wow you gat me reminiscing again. Hmmm. I spent the whole of yesterday watching all classic music videos of Ras kimono, Oritz wiliki, mandators, Felix and mozzyx, Junior and pretty, blacky, Alex zitto on YouTube uploaded by premier music. I felt really old yesterday and wished I had a time machine to catapult me back to those simple days.

Great pity I could only download a few as many were download-disabled. I'm still looking for Alex O's classic hit 'Anwuta'.

Etebo was the best player on that pitch like I always reiterated. I don't even consider that goal an own goal. The nigeria defenders allowed Croatian players make contact with ball in their box 18 twice unchallenged when that spot kick was taken. No team does that without getting punished.

If I were the coach I'd bench Mikel and have Ndidi and Etebo in DM position in front of the defence. They are both good aerially and tackle properly. Iwobi should play in the number 10 position behind Simy Nwankwo and Iheanacho.
Musa right flank, moses left flank.

When you have workaholics like Ndidi and Etebo in DM positions shielding your defense you can play a 3 man defense with little risks.
I don't know why shehu can't be benched. Tyrone is far better and more offensive than him by many miles.

I suspect Rohr is not really interested in winning only experimenting, something he can't try if he were managing his country team Germany. The next game will either prove or disprove my suspicions of his commitment and technical abilities.

There is nothing hateful. If Ighalo is your brother I understand but he is no longer motivated, he is fattened and lacklustre. He may have been better at a younger age because he was trying to run away from poverty but money don land so he sees no reason to carry his fat arze and chase the ball. It's the usual Nigerian story with every generation of the eagles.

94 set did better because most of them were either home based or wanted a better deal in Europe. They were not well paid compared to today so they had hunger in them.

He should retire and go back to Chinese league where he can bully short and weak physically Chinese defenders.

If Chinese Taipei, Palestine, and even dependent countries like American samoa, and other small Islands can have a FIFA recognized team, I think those serious about Biafra should start applying to be part of Fifa. They should start the process by setting up the Biafran football federation even in exile. They have a good chance since FIFA remains apolitical.

The Nigerian team is dead forever, they've reached their peak in '94 and '98. No need wasting hope on them.

Even oduduwa football federation and Arewa football federation can apply to Fifa too.

Is fat arzed Ighalo really the best Nigeria can offer as a striker?

There are tons of fast paced hungry strikers in the Nigerian league begging to be given a fraction of a chance.

My longterm advice is that any player who has made so much money and no longer motivated shouldn't be in team anymore. They can't offer you anything.

Use players that are hungry to break away from poverty even if they play in the local league. There is a reason our Under 17 and U-21s do better than the super eagle. Motivation to break out from poverty which in turn leads to hunger for success.
