This a man's world, period. Even the word 'wo-man' is gotten from 'man'. But some women are now really proving to be man's woe.

Thats why i prefer the Arab world, where women are not even seen not to talk of heard.

The National Assembly has
refused to amend the laws
prescribing the terms and
conditions under which the
public can access the assets
declared by public officers, the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) has said.

Chairman of the bureau, Sam
Saba, said in Abuja yesterday, at its 2010 ministerial press briefing, that the agency proposed an amendment to the Act, but up till today it has not seen the light of the day. Hence, Nigerians cannot have access to assets declaration forms of public officers.

“It is the hope of the bureau that the National Assembly can help to facilitate the work of the institution by prescribing the terms and conditions under which the public can access the assets declared by public officers. This is in addition to the speedy consideration and passage of the Freedom of Information(FOI) Bill,” he said.

He said the National Assembly, in the exercise of the powers granted it in the Third Schedule, Part 1 to the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, should make the attachment of CCB
acknowledgement slips
mandatory for public officers
acquiring land or seeking to
obtain Certificate of Occupancy.

“This will deter public officers from breaching the code on assets declaration,” he said.

Mr. Saba said Nigeria is at a cross road of good governance, pervasive corruption, and abuse
of office.

Plateau State governor, Jonah Jang, has summoned an emergency security council meeting to address the insistent mob attacks on people allegedly responsible for missing genitals in the state.

The News Agency of Nigeria
reports that cases of missing
genitals have become rampant in the state causing widespread fears and chaos among residents of the state. No fewer than three people have been lynched by angry mobs and many more injured within the past one week over such incidents.

The situation, which is
currently a threat to the fragile peace in the state, has forced the call of the security council meeting, to check the situation.

Speaking with journalists on
Tuesday on the development, the state’s commissioner of police, Abdulrahman Akano, warned that the police would not allow “jungle justice” to prevail in the state. Mr. Akano said that three groups were arrested over the incident last week, and warned the public against taking the law into their hands.

He said that some of those
purported to have lost their
genitals had been taken to
hospitals where their manhood was found intact after medical examinations.
