Cigbojugha: No reduction in school fees.
I already made deposit for may intake and they are giving me four options.
A. Continue the May batch and commence in late July and class might initially be offered online
B. Defer the deposit to September 2020 and class might initially be offered online
C. Defer the deposit to Jan 2021 and class might initially be offered online
D. Request for a full refund of your deposit.
Yesterday I opted for option A with hope that between now and July ending things will go back to normal but on the other hand even the school can not say for sure when normal class teaching will commence.
My worry is what if this pandemic does not slowdown as estimated. As long as I am here in Nigeria I can not guarantee myself of undivided attention to the online class. This is getting me worried please any advice will help. Jejely opt for c or d |

hosey: My honey.
Not automatic. You will still need to apply for the post study visa. Students who work more than 20 hours term time wont be qualified. Also, students will need to pass and successfully graduate. Some students will fail.
Notwithstanding, if you begin your MSc in September 2020, you will be eligible for Post study Work visa.
Also current undergraduate and postgraduate students who will graduate in the summer of 2021 are eligible. 20hrs a week or a term How dem go know |

hosey: What you copied and paste are Russell group of universities is an association of research intensive universities. It includes first and second rates universities. None are third rated.
However, there are many first and second rated universities that decide not to join the Rusell Group and very much respected by employers. Examples include University of Aberdeen, University of Bath, University of Leicester, Loughborough University, University of Reading, Royal Holloway University of London, University of St Andrews, SOAS, University of University of Surrey and many more.
Stop bothering yourself about ranking this man. What you should be bothering about is accreditation and not ranking. There are many Imperial College, University College London, LSE graduates that ouldn't get work visa and gone home. While there are also many students from low rated universities that have secured work visa.
Just focus on what you want and make your stay easy, comfortable and affordable. Show your worth and ensure you showcase your inherent skills to prospective employers. The sky is your limit. I didn't do copy and paste tho I have dem by heart I have made my own choice is the young man involve we are trying to help make a good decision And I will bother myself about ranking High ranking schools with accreditation attracts alot If you don't know |

Skymoore1004: Friend you’re correct no doubt but If you look at it too, that 2.5m will sort his accommodation & feeding all through. He will be ok with 20 hours a week & he can dedicate more time to his studies & enjoying the country. Everything no be about ranking depending on the angle. It’s better he goes to USW & come with a distinction than pass from Coventry. He might even be employed in Wales because the job market there ain’t competitiv. Money aside, there’s a lot of distractions in Coventry. My guys there are always clubbing in Birmingham & London. If you’re not careful, enjoyment go carry you go o I am not saying he shouldn't go for a cheaper school don't get me wrong The writer abi who ever keeps saying they re ranked same That's what I am addressing him You can also check student hut and see student's review and ranking |

hosey: @Gbp2020.
Coventry is a low ranked university. It is a third rated university same USW.
If it were that you gained admission in second rated and first rated university such as University of Birmingham, University of Manchester, Imperial College, University College London, Cambridge e.t.c, then you can leave there.
Also with that 5000 pounds, you will live comfortably in Wales as it will sort all your accommodation in school making you focus only on your study. Dont come to UK and work uncontrollably making you graduate with pass like most people do here. You can also use the extra change to improve yourself in gaining a skills and trainings in relation to your studies.
This will make you stand out for employment. Go to USW. Conventry is a low ranked university. T Both schools are in the same category in the eyes of employers. Good luck. You are confusing yourself Coventry is a higher ranking uni than usw Both being under same category is because both are ex polytechnics turn uni in 1992.. Nothing dey like first rated university rather we have the Russell group of universities or Red brick universities Which include the following universities University of Birmingham University of Bristol University of Cambridge Cardiff University Durham University University of Edinburgh University of Exeter University of Glasgow Imperial College London King's College London University of Leeds University of Liverpool LSE (London School of Economics & Political Science) University of Manchester Newcastle University University of Nottingham University of Oxford Queen Mary University of London Queen's University Belfast University of Sheffield University of Southampton UCL (University College London) University of Warwick University of York |

hosey: Go to University of South Wales. The 5000 pounds difference is massive. Also, Coventry university is not in the top list of universities but just slightly higher than USW.
So go to USW. If you are going to advice him or her on going to usw cos of the discount and not being amongst top list of universities understandable But don't give misleading info say conventry uni is slightly higher than usw in terms of ranking that's a big fat lie. Conventry is miles ahead usw Complete guide Coventry is 53 usw 118 Guardian ranking Coventry 13 usw 98 Times / Sunday Times Coventry 44 usw 115 British teaching assessments ( TEF) conventry ACHIEVED GOLD while usw bronze So orgar before dishing out advice be sure of what you are dishing |

SyberKate: Guys please, please I'm in a dilemma.
So far I got the following offers but can't decide on which to accept.
1. University of East Anglia, good ranking(top 20ish), gave £4000 fee reduction, but I don't like their course modules. Course not accredited
2. University of Greenwich, decent ranking(top 60ish), no fee reduction yet, love the course modules + course is accredited by a professional body
3. University of Hertfordshire, decent ranking(top 70ish), no fee reduction yet, love the course modules + offer placement. Course not accredited.
Please who has good ideas of these universities should help me decide. Thanks My dear jejely good to the school that the course is accredited for your own good |

Plus21: I am so much enjoying these discussion...
*people who are new in the UK are giving their DETAILED AND VALID experience (although very young experience) and it's helping us so much.
**The OGAs in the house (with massive UK experience) are correcting the errors in "*". And further giving us a more precise view BASED on EXPERIENCE.
My advice.... 1. If u are in "*" you better not get offended by the comments of "**" but try to add the positive part of their comments to make ur own UK journey very successful.
2. if you are in "**"...pls and Pls continue to share your experience and correct any misinformation. but sha do it politely.
3. if you are a prospective UK student... you better be smart and not get into their argument. Just take ur pen and paper and note ALLLL thier points as ur prepare for ur journey.
if you are not in 1,2,3...pls just watch and don't come and be causing fight btw "*" and "**".
Pls where is that guy with bobo ...pls give me 2 bottles....i need to enjoy this thread more Coming right away with bigi gala |

Tobexin: Just thinking aloud! The negativity on this thread is absolutely lousy and it would make you believe that as a Student in UK you can not make it but that’s actually not the truth as it being portrayed out here. I noticed those false alarms are proportionally being bLoaned by those that haven’t flown out of Nigeria before. My advise to all prospective candidates is this don’t mind what people are saying about UK here. Make up your mind to achieve the best and surely you will achieve the best. I have been in UK for less than 5 months and UK has been predominantly good to me in all entity. Atleast I don’t struggle to pay my bills and feed myself as a week work can settle all my expenses for one month. I even have a car in UK as an international student despite people portraying having a car as a big deal in UK. Go for the best and the sky will be your limit.
Tobexin Thank you So much negativity like I don't get E bad for you or person you know no be say e go bad for another person Grace is different Favour is different Mercy is different |
