Business › Re: Please Help! How Does Obtaining TIN From FIRS Help My New Business??? by phemmy26(m): 5:13pm On Jan 06, 2019 |
You must have a TIN before you can open a bank account. Work into any FIRS office, they would provide you with the requirement and please note that TIN is free. Since its a business name, you would only need to pay both VAT and WHT. Note that even the vat is borne by the customer. All you need to do is just to add VAT@5% to your goods or service rendered.

where do I start? Should I start with Ielts then WES.
Or should I do Wes first?
I have first degree in a different university with the second degree.
The second degree will be ready by next year march. So what do I do now while waiting for my masters degree certificate.
[i] Like the first response to your message, you need read the first page. To provide a quick answer, you can evaluate your degrees with any of the evaluation agencies ( Wes, Ices, iqas) and write your ielts simultaneously. You need to evaluate the two degree as with that you can claim two or more degrees which is a crs booster. |

Every other document is available for upload and school will also send all necessary documents. if you dont have your transcript just upload your certificate. Your school would send the transcript to them. Its not necessary you upload it |

Your advice will be appreciated please....
I am the PA. We had received ITA in september 2018. At the point of submission in November, i realised that my husband's IELTS had expired. After exploring all options, we had to decline the ITA. While back in the pool, I adjusted my profile - my husband as un accompanying spouse. I received another ITA in November -449 cut off (My score without my husband as accompanying was 451). Now the first one asked if you have been denied an immigrant visa, permanent visa, visitor visa or temporary visa. I said Yes but i only included the explaination of the visitor visa as they didnt ask for student visa. The second question asked if you have been refused a visa or a permit.....which means any type of visa and i also said yes but this time around i included explaination about both the student visa denial and the visitor visa denia. I hope am right sha.. |

jolomirapheal: ABEG MAKE UNA ANSWER ME BEFORE I BEGIN CRY O LOL With Wes, it doesnt matter the number of credential you want to evaluate, the fixed price is $200..meaning even if you want to evaluate 20 credentials..its still $200 you are gonna pay. With ICES, they charge per credential so if you wanna evaluate 5 degrees, then it would 5 * $200....i hope you do understand. Please kindly read up...peeps have answered this type of questions countless times....thanks |

EVALUATION SERVICE TO BE USE FOR EVALUATION
Studied outside Nigeria
Best option is WES and ICES - ( Give or take between 3 - 5 weeks once your transcript gets to them) Note if you have more than one certificate to evaluate then use WES as its cheaper.
Studied in Nigeria
Please go and use ICES jeje. They accept transcript via email and waec wahala does not come to play. If you have funds and have two certificates to evaluate, please stick with ICES. Only go via WES if you dont have enough funds and want to evaluate more than one certificate. Just be ready for WAEC result evaluation too.
In between, My Spouse evaluation just came out.....i used ICES and it was quicker, faster, nothing like verification. verification on its own can give u sleepless night..constant calling and checking if they received verification mail or replied....abeg please just go with ICES. I started with WES IN august and up till now, i havent received the eca result while ices that i started in october is already done and dusted. ICES all the way |

aamey15: Hello everyone,
I hope i get a positive response from at least one person so please if you are kindly assist.
I am a 30 years old female and will be clocking 31 in 2 months time, i currently have a BSC and a Masters from a UK university. Work experience of over 7 years including 1 year NYSC. i have an IELTS result of Overall= 7.0 Listening 8.5 Reading 6.0 Writing 6.5 Speaking7.5. I am married with 2 kids and hubby has 14 years experience but without a masters degree.
My questions:
Can i apply and if yes what province should i go for
Should i apply for a reevaluation because i think i should get a higher mark in my reading and writing.
Sorry to bore you but please just one response will make my day .
Thank you It seems you would need to be the PA since you have masters and cos of your age. Kindly re-write your ielts and aim for 8777 (LRSW) then evaluate your master degree, you can use WES since its from UK so you would need to go through the WAEC wahala....You can also ask your hubby to write ielts and evaluate his own bsc. when you do all this ..i bet you, your crs score would be above 445 which is enough for you to get ITA..... |

laghopeful20181: Good morning people,
I am post ITA (5 days left to submit before my deadline). I was uploading supporting documents and cross checking them when I realised my husband's IELTS expired on the 3rd of November (I am the principal applicant). Without his IELTS our score drops to 438 and we would not qualify for the draw from which we were selected (cut off was 441). I have modified family information and changed him to unaccompanying spouse...score becomes 451 hence the children and I can go ahead to submit without him. Note also I loose 5 points in 2 weeks due to age change. I would advice you to decline it and go with the option 2. The NON- accompanying path still gives you a decent score of 451 so no matter how hin bad reach you can still go via that path. Also look at the fact that 451 score would go back to 446 cos of your age change in two weeks time. I think today's draw would give you an insight as to what you would do. If the score is on the high side today then you would also consider that when you make that decision. I think today's draw might be high cos of the high pass rate experienced in the last two ielts result that was released. |

MumtotheBeloved: Hello giys, Goodafternoon. I’m the PA our application and I’d like to know if my spouse will ever need to do evaluate his degree for our application to get through. I mean post ITA. Is it something we can do much later?(after PPR) or is it a Post ITA prerequisite? Trying to cut cost and save time. It depends. If your spouse used his degree in arriving at your crs score, then you would need to evaluate it. If not its not a prerequisite but it would be advisable to still evaluate it cos you might need it in canada eventually |

moneybag4411: Which is advisable then? For us with Nigerian Qualifications? I think its better you go with ICES....At least they dont ask for WAEC verification unlike WES. Also you have the opportunity of asking your school to send a soft copy to them as ICES also accept transcript via email. The only reason for you to use WES now is if you are evaluating two certificates since they still charge a fix amount irrespective of the number of certificate you want to evaluate. ICES charges per certificate. |

ChandlerBing: All these fake age questions should stop please. Did you consult us before you falsified your age? Leave us all out of it and sort out your own mess.
You people are bringing undue scrutiny to Nigerians. Making a mockery of sworn affidavits and NPC birth declarations.
Personally, I believe everybody who has ever had a cause to lie about or to conceal their age is an underachiever and quite frankly a looser. I tire ohh...all this while you guys new you had issues with the date of birth and didnt rectify it until now....one of the reasons why WES introduced WAEC verification that we all have to do when evaluating with WES....soon other agencies would introduce it then they would now start asking for First leaving school cert, NYSC Discharge cert, admission letter, etc continue to open una yansh for here...u all know that also all this agencies like WES, ices, ircc, etc they all read our post.....una continue |

babaireti: Could anyone tell me how I can get details of WHT paid on my behalf by Clients since it is now online and no longer paper receipt like the usual credit notes.
i need this to claim relief/credit while filling my annual returns with FIRS and my Clients are not forthcoming in information sharing, all they keep saying is that they have paid and i should go and check on FIRS portal/site.
So I want to know how to go about it on their site.
Thanks Go to the FIRS office that your clients file is domiciled. Then update your record with the correct phone number and email address and other necessary details. After it has been confirmed that your profile have been duly updated, go to www.firs.gov.ng and click on e-services. Then click on e-tcc. Another window would open, then click on register, it would prompt you if its an enterprise, limited or individual. Once it does that, you click on the applicable one, then a page would enter which would require you to enter your TIN. you enter the full TIN and submit and another page then opens, and you then confirm all the details there. You would also be asked to out you incorporation date. After all have been confirmed, you click and submit then an email containing your credentials would be sent to your the email address linked with your profile. Once you get the email, click on the link in the email to activate it and thereafter it would take you to the login page where you would enter the password which was sent to your email. You would be asked to change the password also. Then you would be able to login with the new password. After you log in, go to the tab where it states print receipt. Click on it then , then it would give you options, either to print your receipt OR wht credit notes. Click on the WHT credit notes options and enter the details of the parameters there and search to obtain and print it. Cheers. |

Hello...please i need your guidance...Wes just sent an email and also updated my profile saying the WAEC was not accepted
WAEC: Not Accepted | Details
Reason: WES received your document, but it was not sent directly from your academic institution. WES requires your institution to send academic documents directly to WES.
Instructions: Please ask your academic institution to send your document to WES in a sealed envelope that is signed or stamped across the back flap by the appropriate official. If you have already contacted your institution, no action is necessary at this time.
Please what do i need to do. |

Have you booked your medicals? Shey you heard the next available date is in Oct? Have you scanned and merged all your documents. Start these ones so you don't feel as though you are stagnant.
