Omuaro38: This Ijo rat is talking about Lord Lugard, don't hide behind Lord Lugard you dunce! before Lord Lugard or even the Europeans came into the picture Aro already had an existing confederacy, before Lugard we were already trading and using our war allies to expand our territory and influence from the Igbo hinterlands to the Niger Delta, before Lugard was in the picture we already had an existing civilization that the Europeans met on ground. While you Ijo savages (who by the way were described in the least complimentary manner and terms by the Europeans) were finally discovered in the thick mangrove swamps on your mosquito-infested habitats, you were still running around naked like stone age cavemen.
All they knew about Aro or anywhere in the Igbo hinterland we told them!
Can you beat that ?
At these Igbotic flies self wan do pass themselves.
IDENNAA: These people have been so pummeled they are just here for the sake of being mocked of running away. So much historical facts have been presented here and all they do is throwing baseless insult just to mask their shame and embarrassment.
Historical facts? From where?
Abeg make we here something!
E get why we dey do wetin we dey do but people like u no go catch d drift.
A lion does not have to show evidence to a potential prey that it is a lion.
The prey should just stray into the predator's path and the rest as they say, will be history.
Ekealterego: You see that I always present historical records... You guys on the other hand rely on sentiments and insults. One common thing amongst all you guys is failure to back your assertion with historical evidence and facts. As I made my assertion, I gave the year and name of the record books where I got my information.
Bros! this is 2021 and I assume you are educated. If that is true, you of all people should know the importance of presenting records and facts from renowned recorded sources.
I am not interested in educating you guys. I want you guys to carry craze enter Ijawland make we change am for una.
All saw was screenshots, anyway it is not important.
ibinaboonline: Very risky. That’s my last resort. I do know one or two people. But this isn’t a one-time thing so it’s better to find something that works so that I won’t keep doing it through people. Just to avoid stories that touch. You know what I mean.
True, it is also a private thing you wouldn't want them to know about.
Omuaro38: It's even an insult to compare Ijo people to Aro, there's absolutely no basis for such degrading comparison at all (and I've met some amazing Ijaw people), but knowing my place in history and the type of civilization we had within the Igbo hinterlands and afar... at the risk of sounding arrogant an Ijo man will always a low dirt-groveling serf around an Aro man.
You wish!
Lord Lugard has truly made some of you grow wings!!!
If you had a nose you would probably snuff. I won't say much about Aro because the Aros were only known for a traditional belief system. They were known for nothing else. Is it a cave "swallows" people you call civilisation?
ibinaboonline: Even if bitcoin were still a thing I wouldn’t choose it. My reason is that it’s equivalent would be remitted to my account as opposed to nowadays I can get my money in $ and exchange it at a better rate on the streets.
You can make enquiries if transactions work between Nigeria and Europe. If you have somebody you trust over there he can send it to the person and the person sends it to you.
Ekealterego: When Mr. Dan Owegie, the Edo guy called them Ogogoro people during the skirmish in Edo state, I thought he was not acting reasonably. It is a shame that some of them are proving it to be true. Find the statement below from the Bini people.
You are right, you can also find a record of them paying respect to the Aros. If they did not meet the Aros, I wonder what would become of them.
My biggest prayer is that Igbo people continue being deluded concerning Aro. Igbo people keep falling their hand big time!
I used to think they had small sense, I was wrong.
ibinaboonline: This thing don tire me soootey. Since January this year, my employer in the US is unable to pay me, not via wire transfer, World Remit, or TransferWise (TransferWise has ceased operations in Nigeria). We’re quickly running out of ideas but I find it strange that this is happening. I do have a dollar account with Ecobank. I wonder if Ecobank is to blame, however, the company also tried to use World Remit’s Pickup option which does not require a bank account. Still, no way. So, the problem shouldn’t be with Ecobank. They even tried Western Union yesterday but the system rejected it and directed them to pay in-store, which is a huge stress for the company. Have you received money from the USA recently? How did you do it?
If not for the moves Emefiele made I would have suggested bitcoin.
Logan23: ""Feni is what you guys are now calling "isi agu""
Mumu , D isiagu has been an age long attire sowed specially for great hunters who have killed leopards. The skin of the leopard they killed is used to make those clothes for them...It has absolutely nothing to do with ijaw.
Okrika is not ijaw pls, stop talking that nansense. Ogu kingdom is actually igbo and their leader is called ""Ama anya n'abo""...
Will youuuu keep Kwayet?
Ogu kingdom kee you there!
Do you know what the Ogu stands for in Ijaw history? Ogu in Rivers state is not the only Ijaw community by that name.
If you were using Leopard skin to sew your so called "isi agu" is Feni leopard skin?
Why don't you have images of Igbos in Feni from the 60s, 70s or even 80s?
Your traditional clothes are fringed garments. The colonial authorities begged Igbos in Enugu to wear clothes at least Nigeria's independence ceremony on the 1st of October 1960.
The Southern Africans who have a similar wear to the Igbos are still wearing theirs and those who don't want expose much of their body add extra layers of fabric to their clothes but Igbos will throw away their and try to claim other people's culture and even abuse the owners of the culture they are copying.
Europeans copied trousers from Asia and give credit to them on that. You Igbo copy people and insult them on top that, re-label them as Igbo.
Logan23: Pls upload pics of the ijaw juju cap that igbos copied from Ijaw.
And present ur proof that igbos copied Ogene, Ama and Ala.
And what is Feni?
You can see the juju cap in the YouTube clip below. That's the coronation rituals of the amayanabo of Ogu kingdom in Okrika clan of the Ijaw nation, Rivers state.
Logan23: Ijaw and ogoni are sparsely populated in rivers state. That's why an ijaw man or ogoni man will never ever have the numbers to win gubernatorial elections in rivers state. Igbo in rivers covers about 60-70 percent of the state, try n visit ph to understand this first hand
Port Harcourt or villages located in Obio/Akpor and Ikwerre LGAs?
If you know where is called Port Harcourt you won't make this statement.
Even if you empty the WHOLE Igboland and relocate them to Rivers state, the day the Ijaw decides you have overstayed your welcome not one you will remain.
Logan23: I am not culturally bilingual with igbo and English. English is a foreign language that does not belong to this continent..Ijaws are culturally bilingual because of the presence of millions of igbos indigens in the whole of SS who live side by side with ijaws
U aren't bright @ all..........That someone in Gabon learnt to speak igbo does not make them culturally igbo, igbo langauge was exported to those places, IGBO language was not exported to ijaw areas
What did you smoke? Igbo?
Are the Igbo our only neighbours?
We share boundaries with the Yoruba, Urhobo, Itsekiri, Benin, Isoko, Ilaje, Ibibio, Ogoni, Ikwerre, etc.
You don't know Ijaw history if not you won't make such claims. You don't even know who the Ijaws are!
Apart from slave trade and eastern region we had no connection with the Igbo.
We don't share culture with you even though the Igbo have started copying our culture in the last 20 years yet there is still a big difference.
For us the Igbo language is just as foreign as the English language. Both were means to trade. Igbo has continued to lose its relevance with the end of slave trade. The defunct eastern region tried to force Igbo language. For that reason it became eminent that the Igbo had to be resisted.

Logan23: But in every inch of ijaw land land, there are igbos there and igbo langauge is very dominant across ijaw territory...infact very many ijaw communities are bilingual, they speak igbo and ijaw
Which parts of igbo land was conquered or occupied by ijaws
You are bilingual. You speak at least Igbo and English. Does that make you an English man?
Ijaw people are multilingual. There are Ijaw who know how to speak Itsekiri, some speak Yoruba, some speak Urhobo, others speak Ogoni, others speak Ibibio, and there are those who speak languages in countries like Gabon, Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea so if some them speak Igbo as a second, third or fourth language it is not a big deal.
Igbos are in every corner of the world and Nigerian citizenship gives them mobility to live anywhere that falls under the ECOWAS treaty.
Are the Fulani not all over the place? Igbo is not dominant in Ijaw territory. These days we speak less languages. Before the minimum number of languages people spoke was four. It was important to speak many languages in a bid to facilitate international trade.
Logan23: By mere fact that igbos and ijaws live side by side and coexist in so many ancestral cities establishes a relationship between igbos and ijaws.
Ijaw and yoruba have no such connection.
We even have a much stronger connection with the Yoruba. Many assume Omoyele Sowore is Yoruba but he is Ijaw from Ondo state.
Our connection with the Igbo was largely based on Igboland being a large slave market for Ijaw merchants.
gidgiddy: He was off the mark there but Rivers state is at least 60% indigenous Igbo speaking people from Ikwerre to Ndoki to Omuma to Etche to Ogba to Egbema to Ekpeye
That is also wrong!
No matter how "indigenous Igbo" is drawn it is not close to 40 percent.
AdakaBoro8: look at your mouth.. igbo dont force identity on people.. repeat that statement to brain dead nnamdi kanu first, wether hin nor go bite ya mouth..
The mad man Nnamdi Kanu even went as far as saying Rivers state is 80 percent Igbo!
9jaRealist: Abegi don’t disgrace your family and village by showing you’ve never before seen (or heard of) anyone beating the stater’s gun in athletics...
Meanwhile, these sorts of armed and violent extortion (and you can add robbery, kidnapping, piracy, murder, etc., all of which these so-called “militants” have variously engaged in) have nothing to do with “rights” - unless of course there’s a right to join in stealing and looting. Stripped of all intellectual pretensions, these so-called “militancy” is merely an armed campaign to join in the general looting and stealing (while the actual PRODUCTION is carried out mostly by foreigners - albeit a few Nigerians have now joined in the production process). Already, many of the so-called “youth” leaders collect monies from oil companies every month supposedly on behalf of community ‘youths’ and spend or outrightly embezzle most (if not all) of it. Similarly, many of them‘youths’ themselves who have their names submitted for employment in oil companies only show up to collect salaries. In fact, some of the earlier “youth” and/or “militant” leaders are today some of the wealthiest people in the ND and Nigeria (Tom Ateke, Government Tompolo, Askari-Dokubo, etc.). We already know how rich MEND’s Henry Okah was in South Africa.
Let’s not fool ourselves that these so-called “militancies” have anything to do with the truly desperate plight of many poor Niger Deltans, who continue to sink into even deeper poverty even as more money is poured into the Niger Delta (through NDDC, Niger Delta Ministry, 13% Derivation Allocation, Amnesty Program, etc.) only to be looted, embezzled and stolen mostly by their own Niger Delta “leaders” and elite. Look at how well-armed with very expensive and sophisticated lethal weapons those dullards in the video are, and ponder how come they do not invest all that money into a trade or small business (eg, a grinding machine is cheaper than an AK-47). These are not folks interested in rights! >
Which public office did Ateke Tom, Henry Okah or Asari Dokubo hold?
We NEVER asked for NDDC it was a deliberate attempt by Nigeria to deceive the world that they are doing something when your national assembly loots the NDDC.
What we asked for was homogeneous states, at least 50 percent derivation, removal of oil and gas from the exclusive list, dismantling of NNPC, a stop to gas flares, the legal framework that would let us prosecute companies that pollute our environment.
It is due to Nigeria's flawed structure impersonating people in oil companies could work. We know the game!
If oil companies functioned locally all of that won't happen. Decisions can't be made in Lagos and Abuja if the primary goal is the wellbeing of the people.
Many of you ignore or pretend ethnic extremism is not a factor when it is the main reason everything is upside down.
How do you explain Kano having 44 LGAs and Bayelsa only 8 or Rivers only 23?
These are major determinants of how much each state gets.
You guys fail to see the biggest of all the issues which is the environment. Many people have always been content with the fishing and farming jobs until Nigeria destroyed it with their oil activities.
Why should NNPC recieve royalties on an acreage instead of the family or community that owns the land?
Why would individuals like Alakija, Indimi, Danjuma and a host of others be allocated oil blocs without the requisite knowledge, skills or capital but people from the area or communities in that region are being denied such an opportunity?
You Nigerians are just a bunch of hate filled hypocrites. It is unfortunate Lugard joined us with the rest of you. What could have been Africa's greatest strength has turned to her biggest weakness because of you bigots.
By the way, Abuja and Lagos gets more from the government than we get.
It is on record that Bayelsa is the only state Nigeria refused to connect to the national grid. It was through determination despite the blackmail that Bayelsa was able to provide electricity for her self.
Nigeria has been robbing us with nothing in return.
Givaxy: Answer my question and stop dodging it Where was your avengers when a whole village was destroyed in bayelsa
Either you were born in 2000 or you were resident in your village without access to television or radio.
Prior to the destruction of Odi Ijaw people had been peaceful in making their demands. It was the destruction of Odi that led to the armed struggle and since then till date God has been faithful. Our people have ALWAYS been will battles.
Nigercity: I just noticed one thing in This thread The Igbos are publishing facts which seems truth Why most ijaws here are only posting insult (Meaning the already lost it) Some one even said Igbos are not more than 20millon... Lolz I laugh in Uganda Forgetting the fact that lagos alone has more Igbos than any Igbo state, should we also add the Igbos leaving in sabo Kano, or the Igbos indigenous to benue, Delta, Akwa-ibom including the etche, omuma, oyibo, ASA even Ndoki (excluding ikwerre) all in Rivers, plus they tiny ones left in South East whoes population in 2006 where estimated to be 16millons (despite the undercount, as many of them rejected being counted because of the Massob Biafra struggle) I just the laugh...
The truth is, in every Nigeria state (expect the original indigenous of the state) igbos are the biggest in terms of population
Go to the north Many people don't even know who the hell ijaws are And for the record Ndoki people believes that the are far more older than the ijaws (Anyone auguring this my last statement, should set up a meeting with me in akwete market, ohanku obiohia or ohanso all in Ndoki, I will be there and we will record it life and post it here on Nairaland) let him/her just shout Ndoki is ijaw in any Ndoki community especially the aggressive akwete, Let's see the outcome (NB: I spent path of my youthful Age in Ndoki, so I know Ndoki way in way out) someone from Ndoki sees an ASA man or Ngwa man as his blood brother... The world ijaw is not even popular in hinterland Ndoki
Adakaboro8 pHijo and the rest Should hook me up in Ndoki any time any day We will be streaming it live, for Nairalanders to see A public place like akwete market or ohanso will be the venue, The only thing you have to do is just shout Ndoki is ijaw, or Ndoki is not Igbo
Who is here to win? I choose not to post "evidence " because knowing them for the criminals that they are, they will distort the evidence.
What surprises me the most is that they could even go as far as claiming my community as Igboland.
Why should I meet with you?
There's no need for that, coupled with the NCDC COVID guidelines that won't happen.
If they like let them be more than the Chinese, they should respect their boundaries.
That we don't post "evidence " tells you we don't hold them in high esteem.
