Wannabe majority!
As long as Fulani chew you like gworo you are a minority of minorities.

All your leaders are begging the Fulani on which of them will be a better slave.

If anyone is stupid it is you, so stupid that you post trash. Well, let me burst your bubble. You Igbo are a minority group. Many of those you claim to inflate your numbers are not Igbo.

We can boast of the Nri civilization
We can boast of the unique and beautiful artistry of the Akwete fabrics that our ancestors were renowned for while your forebears were still running around naked in the creeks
We can boast of one of the greatest slave abolitionist in the person of Olaudah Equiano
We can boast of been one of the major people in the slave era across the trans-athlantic globes that led successful slave rebellions that are still symbolically marked and celebrated today.
Do you know the fifth president of Liberia by name of Edward James Roye (Google him) was of Igbo descent?
King Jaja of Opobo an Igbo man put the hitherto uncivilized and primitive Ijo people on the map of historical significance; ditto Oko Jumbo, we even gave you apes the Ogan dynasty through our son Ogan ama an Igbo blood.

Need I go on?

Name one single benchmark of civilization Ijaws are known for historically. At least we know the more civilized Efiks, Ibibio's, Ogoni's, Bini, Urhobo's etc all have great historical benchmarks that they can boast of, what can Ijaws boast of besides been creek dwelling nearthandals who only saw the light of human evolution and renaissance late in the 18th century when other tribes had already discovered their Eureka's!
I don't have time for you, I wish I had!

1. Nri is NOT an Igbo civilisation, it is Igala
2. If you had shame you wouldn't claim the exploits of freed slaves.
3. Slaves are largely educated by those who enslave them. Since Ijaw people enslaved Igbo it is Igbo who learnt from our superior way of doing things and not the other way round.

Akwete is NOT Igbo!

This is the reason we tell you that you Igbo are recent immigrants in Nigeria.

It is no coincidence that both Akwete and Nri are the boundaries with other ethnic groups. Ask yourself why no meaningful thing is in Igbo heartland. Even Aro is boundary area.

The Igbo cultural thieves. Right before our eyes they've tried to rename our Feni as Isi agwu, claim the Kanuri cap, claiming Bini beads, using a cap Ijaw priests use as their traditional cap etc.

Colonial countries have caused extreme pain in Africa. How do you explain having Somali people in Somalia, Djibouti, Ethopia and Kenya?

How do you explain having Hutu in D.R.Congo, Burundi, Rwanda, Uganda?

What about having Yoruba in Nigeria, Benin republic or Togo?

Hausa in countries like Cameroon, Nigeria and Ghana?

Something has to be done to reduce the pressure Africa's fake borders create.

It's called averaging. If you buy an item at N100 and the price falls to N40. When you add money by buying at N40, while the price might not go back to your initial N100 it might struggle to rise a bit. If it rises to N60 you make some profit ONLY on the new capital added. That profit is what reduces your loss on the old capital.
Some even double the added capital and do not necessarily need to wait for price to get back to N100 before breaking even and recovering all their money. It's trading strategy but also risky as with every strategy.
Many people are not familiar with the cost average effect. That's the reason many people are scared of investment.

It just shows how backward in thinking those who administer Nigeria are.

You would not need a toll gate to get revenues for highways if you wish to. The use of technology can help government get revenues from highway users without a toll gate in place.

On the issue of Biafra, the strongest of the extremist have always voted for choice in a referendum. Nobody ever have ever forced you to join. It was even Dokubo that championed for the Ijaw people before his fall out with MNK.

Now, most people are strongly believe in the Ijaw exclusion because it is obvious you didn't ride with us. We have included you in the past because we were part of the same region and seen the same but as you have shown betrayal now and in the past for the dream (which I won't blame you for it) we have accepted and excluded you in the most amicable way.

So, I don't think you guys need to make any fuss.. Ijaw is not part of Biafra, neither is Edo or Edoid groups.
This is where many of you get it wrong!
Technically we belonged to 3 out of the 4 defunct regions so this claim Ijaw was included because we belonged to the defunct eastern region holds no water!

We belonged to the defunct Midwest, East and West.

If there would be a referendum it will be on if we want to form our own country. Igbo people are not in a position to make poliitical choices for us. That's rude.

An Osu is still far better than a Ijo castaway subhuman whose region is the dumping ground of Nigeria's biochemical waste.

Na your papa get part of Imo state, dumb Ijaw fish-brained minority clown, thank God for the Igbos who civilized you baboons by showing you how to trade and act like civilized people in a time when your ancestors were still chasing fishes in the creek to hunt with spears. Little wonder our men saw how useless you apes were and decided to plant our superior seeds and DNA in your women... today half of the so called Ijaws in Ibani, Bonny, Opobo etc speak Igbo grin.

Igbo smoking isn't bad, recent studies have shown Marijuana if properly used is actually effective against carcinogenic agents. Meanwhile as an Ijo bottom feeder you are more likely to suffer from toxicological defects to your brain cells as a result of the degradable hydrocarbon waste materials that have polluted your accursed land.

Surely the Europeans who came in contact with you Ijo swines saw a lot of abnormalities about your people which they bluntly didn't fail to document in their observations.
I can't but laugh!
People minorities like Fulani have enslaved think calling somebody a minority means anything?!

You keep on begging to be accepted but na time you dey waste.

The pollution you Nigerians have created across the Niger Delta just goes to show how stupid you are. That you even boast with that tells your level of reasoning. Even apes will reason better than you.

Igbo civilised? Are you dreaming?

Igbo that are still primitive till date!

What do you know? What complex structures did you have?

No form of organisation in Igbo society. All you wear as traditional attire today you either copied from the Ijaw, Yoruba, Hausa, Kanuri, Bini, or Fulani .

You should keep quiet where others are talking.

Please, be fair in your assessment, check the front page where known anti-Igbo agents like the adakaboro guy and others came cursing the OP and the other Igbo respondents.

No, Jonathan did not lose because he was associated with the Igbos, he lost because Buhari partnered with the Yorubas to get more votes from the south. Secondly, there was already a strong voters apathy within the South East because the resurgence of the pro-biafra resurgence was getting stronger although there was a strong unflinching support within the large Igbo groups living outside of the SE... In Lagos for example. Buhari has always maintained his 12 million vote base, always.
We had other Igbos we could vote for, but they adopted your son.

As to who benefited more, nope the North benefited more and not the Igbos.

It was after Jonathan's loss that the strong anti-Igbo hates from Ijaws surged. At a time where they Igbos were being mocked and booed. The guys we took the fall for now joined in the mockery and showed your true feelings.

On the issue of Biafra, the strongest of the extremist have always voted for choice in a referendum. Nobody ever have ever forced you to join. It was even Dokubo that championed for the Ijaw people before his fall out with MNK.

I agree with you on most of what you wrote. Yes, Buhari won due to Yoruba support. Don't forget the Yoruba always claimed their reason for supporting Buhari was because Jonathan empowered Igbo people.

The reason why Ijaw people are very angry with the Igbo in the post Jonathan era is particularly because of IPOB extremists and the refusal of other Igbo to speak up against them.

Nnamdi Kanu and his followers have been trying to force Biafra on us and when ever people reject it they say unpleasant things about Ijaw people and Ijaw people respond in kind.

I believe that has been the issue, as long as Nigeria exists I don't see why the Igbo and Ijaw can't work together for their mutual benefits. We don't have to love ourselves to work together, we can work together for shared common interests.

Daft fish-brained Ijaw clown. The entire population of Ijo minorities across all the states they reside in as migrants (note not as indigenous people cause you are only confined to your monolithic one state in Bayelsa), can't even fill up the landmass a tiny autonomous local government area in Imo state. Ijos are not even bigger in population than the Tiv, Efiks, Ibibios before we start counting Kanuri's... so essentially if we want to be gracious to you people, you are like bottom of the top ten largest ethnic groups in Nigeria.
How can people who have been confined to osu status in Nigeria and abroad be gracious to us? It is not within your place to do that!

If we want to lay historical claims to Imo state much of Imo state is owned by the Ijaw nation. We are at home in all the states we are found. The only group the Igbo probably settled in Nigeria before are the Fulani. A recent immigrant group into what is now called Nigeria should not blow beyond their belt!

Igbo smoking has damaged your brain if you ever had any!

You are acting like a victim now when it was you guys that started the hate when majority of people who replied the OP were civil and showing him true love for his neutral stance.
If we mention people on Atedo Peterside and Prof. Tam David west's level, a whole thread will not be enough, so let's leave it be.

Now, to the mater of maltreatment, you know that you are just conjuring up words, Igbos believe in the spirit of competition, even amongst ourselves because it brings out the best in us. If those who claim to be a victim of healthy competition cannot cope, how is it our fault?

You say we do not show you, love, do you know how many Igbos were victimised because we chose to support, Jonathan your son? People in the SW even thought he was an Igbo man because of the way the Igbos rallied around him and supported him unconditionally. In Lagos, do you know the Igbos were threatened to be drowned (not the Ijaws) in the Lagoon because of the fierce support for Jonathan and the candidate he picked in Lagos?
I was warning my family members who were putting themselves at risk defending and adopting Jonathan as "our son" in Lagos because they knew he was a Bayelsa man but they supported him even though he did practically nothing for the Igbo people.

I guess you guys saw it as a sign of weakness or your true colour just revealed itself after he left. Even here on Nairaland, the Igbos were mocked for Jonathan's loss... what did you guys do? Instead of rallying around them, you turned around to create hate-filled threads too. Then now you turn around to claim victims...
No, we were civil. It is your Igbo people who disrespected us, laid claims to our communities etc. No one will watch anyone disrespect his history and heritage.

Igbo people voted Jonathan because they felt he was a better option against Buhari.

Was there any special benefit Ijaw people got from Jonathan being president?

The primary beneficiaries were the Igbo and Yoruba. If they were foolish enough to replace Jonathan with Buhari it is on them not us!

As Ijaw people we never asked Nigeria for their presidency. What we asked for was homogeneous Ijaw states and 50 percent derivation like it was before the civil war and greater autonomy.

We have always been open and are always open to working with any group in Nigeria if it is of mutual benefit.

We don't see Biafra as something that would benefit us as Ijaw people and I wonder why Igbo people can't respect that. You don't own us!

None of you try to guilt trip Yoruba or Fulani people when you vote them! Jonathan lost because he was associated with Igbo people by the powers that be. He made an Igbo man chief of army staff, a thing that had never happened since 1970 and since his departure no Igbo has been included in Nigeria's security architecture.

The issue was never competition. If competition is fair we can thrive. Under the now defunct eastern region nepotism was prevalent.

Yes, Igbo were threatened to be thrown into the lagoon in Lagos, is it only Ijaw and Igbo people that are suffering from Buhari's misrule? Both the Fulani and Yoruba are suffering too. Every ethnic nation is suffering too.

We didn't ask people to support Jonathan because he was Ijaw, we asked them to support him because he was the better candidate between the major contenders.

Sometimes our being reasonable in a country people are not being reasonable has been our greatest undoing as Ijaw people.
