During what stage of your KPMG recruitment process was compensation discussed,if it was for Graduate Trainee?
Westlord: U might choose to be specific bt wit my expirience during KPMG recruitment, I choos to be understandable like saying 'commensurate' & wen asked if it was negotiable I chose 'no' because its depends on what U want 2 benefit 4rm PwC, I mean 'experience wise'. But as I said, Ur choice bt just make sure U can defend anythng U choose.

You could use a range e.g. 1.5 - 2.0 million per annum.That is a fair range.
eimuhb: I have to fill in something (expected salary) on the form, that was why I asked.

You should understand that one needs to balance their interest with what is available.Obviously, more people would be needed in Audit & Tax than any other unit because KPMG makes most of their money from these two areas.Just be patient and you would be invited.Stick to what you really want.

CultureRe: Where Can I Learn Chinese In Lagos by Phonon: 11:03am On Feb 06, 2013
It is 'Ni hao'.At the Confucius Institute, there are three levels for learning the language which costs 10 000 naira per level. Each stage lasts for about 3 months. The teachers struggle with English themselves so one would have to pardon their delivery but do not just rely on the class alone to learn the language.TRUST ME.
You have the simplified Mandarin(as spoken in Mainland China) and the traditional Mandarin(as spoken in Taiwan and Singapore)
Zi: There is a Confucius Institute inside UNILAG. Go and find out there. And there are not many kinds of Chinese you'll need to learn. Their official language is Mandarin. What you want to do now is good venture and I sincerely encourage you to smiley

Guess the first thing you'll hear in class is 'Nin hao' cheesy

Christianity EtcRe: Worshippers Give Oyedepo 700 Cars As Offering by Phonon: 10:49pm On Jan 31, 2013
What were they being led by?IRRATIONALITY?I am sure those that donated those cars have family members or friends who would have had one financial problem or the other that the money would have helped solve. When people say they are led by the 'spirit',it does not necessarily mean the Holy Spirit.
Vanneni: Are offerings meant for the pastorhuh The post says the cars were given as offerings and they were cheaply sold and the money would definitely have been put into the church's account. The worshipers did as they were led.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: KPMG Aptitude Test Invitation by Phonon: 5:00pm On Jan 31, 2013
KPMG misses a lot of things sometimes.THEY ARE HUMANS.If you do or did pass the test,I hope it does not become a problem when submitting your GT form.
waleajijim: Kk, don't know aw u figure out that tot, maybe by the msg they sent but I wrote with 2 sittings. Without any hitch.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: KPMG Aptitude Test Invitation by Phonon: 4:42pm On Jan 31, 2013
THEY DON'T.I am wondering what experience you are referring to.
waleajijim: They allow 2 sittings in WAEC provided you have at least 5 credits in them. Speaking frm experience.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: KPMG Aptitude Test Invitation by Phonon: 11:19am On Jan 25, 2013
When I submitted my form,I did submit a copy of my transcript. Those who did not have theirs were implored to get it as soon as possible.A friend who has completed his interviews was told to make available a copy of his transcript before he will be made the job offer. After submission of those documents then, the HR representative told us that we would be contacted 'soon'.No mention of interview until we were formally invited.
majestic8855: @ phonon pls I wanted 2 ask when submiting your graduate application do you have to submit your transcript and also are u told there and then d day for your first interview?pls anyone else can answer too. Fanks

I can only tell you about my own experience.Everyone else could get something different.I had to choose between writing about my role model and writing about times I have shown leadership abilities. There is no right or wrong answer but I am sure the ability to articulate your ideas on paper is most important.Hope it helps.
lolu84: @phonon, wot are the likely questions to expect in d essay part? Jst got an invite, Pls, help ur brother. Thanks in anticipation
Jobs/VacanciesRe: KPMG Aptitude Test Invitation by Phonon: 8:09pm On Jan 21, 2013
Well,my apologies if my comment offended you.The test is divided into two sections:the multiple choice questions and the essay part.

The multiple choice questions consists of quantitative(practice with GRE & GMAT),verbal(antonyms & synonyms, word relationships, sentence completion),critical reasoning questions(check your GMAT).I think this section lasts for about an hour.
For the essay part, you would choose one of two topics to write about.Lasts about 30 minutes.

Doing well on both sections is crucial to moving on to the next stage;so I was told when I wrote mine.I hope I did try to answer your question better.
playto: U dnt av to reply me bck dis way...I belive u sat for the exams..en am directing the question to u in-person...nt wat av bn answed..remember u also ask 5 same question ere
