dunsin125:This is due to a crashed eMMC (this is a chip that contains your firmware) in your phone. The Os can't be loaded by your bootloader because it is simply inaccessible in the eMMC. Hence the forced recovery mode. I doubt that a flashing attempt will be successful let alone solving the problem. |
dunsin125:That seems like a board problem... The heat and no PC detection points to this deduction. You can not troubleshoot the problem yourself. Suppose the phone has never been opened before, you should take it to carlcare. Otherwise try a competent technician to check it up for you. |
Greenarrow01:Is it rooted? If the answer is No, you should consider taking it to Carlcare to check it for you. |
@dunsin125: If the above does not work, connect the phone to your PC and listen for a connection sound from the PC. Does your PC make a connection sound indicating that it detected your phone? If yes, you might want to leave it plugged to charger for a considerably long duration, say 4hrs. During this long charging, observe for any increase in thermal energy (heat) from phone. Post your findings here whether the phone works or not. |
dunsin125:What happened prior to this? Or can you remember what you were doing on it before the total power failure? You might try pressing down the power button for 1 minute to force a hard reboot while connected to a charger. I recommend connecting to charger because the battery might have been in a drained state. |
Darkseid:Really, i know more than what you think I know when it comes to mobile and PC Operating Systems. And for your information, I don't just read stuff from Wikipedia (take a glance here and conclude i've 'read' about it). I make indept research on any Os i come across. Ah yes, KaiOS has been around for a while now even before the so called MTN 'smart' phones were made. It is an Os based on linux meant for mobile devices. However, it lacks some essentials that qualifies it as Smart. For those asking what the essentials are. A phone or mobile telecom device is considered 'SMART' if it has the following capabilities: 1. Ability to multi task with user comfortability and usage fluidity. 2. Enhanced notification system 3. Interactive display (Lcd coupled with a digitizer) 4. Support for common day to day productive apps and fun apps 5. Relatively large dev base 6. Support for modern connectivity options 7. Ability to effortlessly share data and information with other devices (of the same type and or with other types) 8. Inbuilt sensors (phone's ability to listen/sense its environment) 9. Great aesthetic design and portability You can add to the list but basically, these are essential before you can call a phone 'smart' |
ruphytelecom:Okay sir. I'd chat you up... |
It is a FEATURE phone! Don't be deceived. |
haytripple:Try Adblocker. Some adblocking apps require root access while others do not. Although I've never used those without root access, I prefer those with root requirement for the sake of effectiveness |

sir, do you have lcd for hp655? How much? |
Do you have hp 655 LCD, if yes how much? |
ominilongest:Sorry, you've got a problem if you can't see that... |
Abuheekmat:Don't you have friends or relatives around you that would allow you use their laptop? I think that'd be a lot easier than brainstorming and searching forever ...that's if you really wanna root.. *smiles* |
Abuheekmat:Oh that's right about magisk. However, twrp is already available for your device just that you need a pc to flash it. So, i guess that's a dead end for the 'Root without PC' method |
pasqal09:Have you flashed a phone before now? If the answer is no, then you might want to consider giving it to a technician who can. |
pasqal09:You'd have to flash it with an android 8 stock rom for your phone. |
[quote author=GMan650 post=76365089]Does anyone know about the Android 9 update on Note 5? After updating, it's still showing the 3-button panel instead of 1 like other devices. Or is it that Infinix is running a beta version on their devices. Moreover, I noticed the device became slower after the update. I've not gotten a hands-on review on this device running the latest 9.0. However, one thing is noteworthy here. Concerning the reported slow or reduced performance, I think you might have to wipe your cache. If slow performance persist, you should do a factory reset inorder to wipe data and cache. Sometimes, when certain android phones are upgraded to an entirely new Android Os version, the existing data and cache becomes somewhat 'redundant' as these were meant for the old Os. The new Os struggles to sync your data structure, data settings and so on to suite itself. This leads to lags. That's why some phones formats themselves after a fresh upgrade. All files, configs and settings will be lost. Remember to do a thorough backup before any system related operation! |
Abuheekmat:Although it is easier rooting the hot 6 with pc but you might still be able to root it by using 'Kingroot' not kingo root o. They are two different apps. Download Kingroot by google searching it. (The apk just like any root app isn't on playstore) Install the apk, open it and make sure your data is on. Remember to also enable 'Usb-Debugging' under Developer settings of your phone Settings. Another way to root is to use 'Magisk' . This provides a systemless (silent) root. That is, it does not really modify your android system. All it does is patching your boot.img. Google search step by step guide for this |
nurey:Ouch! Distance barrier. I'm in Ib |
nurey:where is your location. I'd love to get it |
jaykaylegend:Any system update can only be downgraded by flashing the previous Firmware. And, no you can downgrade app based updates except you uninstall and re install the previous version of the same app. |
Joshmaich:I wish I could help you but what you typed is not quite clear. Can you try re framing your request? |
jojokings:So far, Jumia Nigeria has been reliable. Besides, you get warranty on your purchases |
Johnsonjoye:You'd have to flash the phone with a stock firmware or take it to carlcare |

Shinjitsu:The reality is this: Education teaches us not to make hasty conclusions. In fact, through education we are made to understand statements that are biased and fallacious. E.g 'ABC' is a group of christain who bow to the Statue of Mary, therefore every christain bows to the Statue of Mary. Take note sir. |
horllamy:15k slightly negotiable |
