The problem is with your phone.

Since you can whatsapp via wifi. You need to review your data usage settings and app control settings to ensure that you have not restricted whatsapp from using your data.

If you can not figure that out, i'd recommend you do a factory reset. Remember to backup your files, contacts, sms, logs and so on should you decide to do this.

Well you can try the following rules. They will never fail you if you apply them correctly;
1. Do not be in a hurry to buy any phone be it a clone or not.
2. Go to google and search for the same phone you intended buying and compare their look and spec.
3. The software running the phone can never be exactly like the original. If it is then it indeed not fake. The software part is always the part that exposes these clones. Although you must be accustomed with several android versions and how they look. For example, there are some clones out there claiming android 7.0 or even 8.0 when in reality they are running android 4.4. The interface such as the notification area, battery icons, transition animation and so on would definitely look odd.
CPU-z can also come in handy whenever you are going for a phone and you have a doubt that it might be clone. Ask the seller if you could install cpuz to check something on the phone.. If he/she refuses, well its left to you to do the needful. For me, i dont need any app to spot a clone. I know what to expect in the phone i am buying

Bottomline: Know what is expected in an original type of your supposed phone. Most importantly, DO NOT BE GREEDY. Most people ended up with clones because they want a trendy phone of 80k at the price of 20k.

There is something noteworthy in Op's post.

Unless you want to tell me that Samsung Galaxy series, Sony Xperia series, Infinix Hot series etc are all sub brands, Xiaomi Redmi series and Huawei Honor series aren't sub brands. Rather, they are flagship code names.

Just as Galaxy is to Samsung,
Phantom, Camon, Boom are to Tecno
Xperia is to Sony
Redmi is to Xiaomi
Honor is to Huawei
Zero, Hot is to Infinix
Optimus is to LG

... And so on.

A sub-brand isn't the same as a Flagship codename.

here's what I found

According to the result in the screenshot, obviously, it is a qualcomm chipset and 1Gb Ram/8gb rom device. if you can do what i suggested for xavier, you should be able to enjoy your phone

You have wiped the bootloader and possibly the preloader too.

However, you can check whether your PC still detects the phone. Just listen to your PC when you connect the phone via usb to the pc. Does it make a sound (indicating a connection)? If yes then your preloader is still intact. Problem half solved.

Next, you have to ensure that your MTKVCOM drivers are properly installed.

Head over to the web (google search your phone name, model + stockrom download) to download the compatible rom for your phone. Hovatekforum is a good place to get your roms. (Although be ready to download several roms if you dont know your phone's build number)

With your rom downloaded, flash it with the latest version of spflash tool. Your problems should now be history.

Easiest fix: Give it to a technician and save yourself the troubles.

You have been very helpful bro. I downloaded Kingroot, installed it but when I start rooting the phone, when it gets to 70-80% it will be disrupted and show either network error or that I need more memory. I did a full back up and reset the phone and tried again, still same problem.

Use the Pc version of 'iRoot'. That should work. Just ensure usb debugging is enabled from your settings and you grant adb access should there be such pop during the process. However, you might need to install Android ADB drivers. (Google search for guidelines)

Lolz! Flashing a phone isn't the same as factory resetting it. In fact, they are two entirely different operations. The term flashing is coined from 'erasing and re writing the FLASH memory on which your firmware is installed' During this process partitions such as system, data, cache and dalvik cache are wiped and a fresh firmware is re installed. A factory reset only wipes (not completely) cache and data partition while it leaves the system partition unwiped and then restores system settings to default.
