Look closely at these pics and tell me which Geoff was captured. Two soldiers clearly holding up a signpost that could have been anywhere else.

ednut1:Lol, was shopping for a few friends (female) and No, it was Select store I think. Ran into an ex hence the picture. Looking forward to seeing y'all. |
opeyemmmy:Sure thing, congratulations to you as well. |
daywalker12911:I don't think it was necessary as I already had a chat with the CEO. Anyways, thanks bruv and Goodluck. |
Just got my call to pick up my letter. Thank you Jesus Goodluck to everyone else who had the ED chat. |
Paul pretty much answers the question in 1 Corinthians 8. We are not better off if we don't or worse off if we do. Let each man do according to his own conviction. Furthermore, Jesus in Matthew 15:11 answers "that nothing that enters the mouth of a man (food) defiles him but it's that comes out of his mouth that does." So if you have issues with eating that fine Sallah meat your nice neighbour gave you but none at all with spitting expletives and unprintable words on here or to your neighbour. There is a need for introspection. The Revelations 2 verse is new to me, lemme read and get the context before posting a comment. Shalom. |
Well, I don't mean to be a messenger of doom or anything but my guess is if you are yet to hear back from Stanbic for the test or the first interview, I'm afraid your chances are very slim. I do not work at Stanbic, at least not yet but I did get an invite for the test a couple of times and I let them know I'd be unable to attend cos I was still completing my Msc in the UK (there was no response but they sent other invites until I got back and finally took the test). The test was a lot easier than the SHL I must say, one just needs to calm down and make sure you supply the correct answers to the number of questions you are able to complete in the given time. I did not finish either the Maths or English but did answer up to 31 in the first and 45 out 48 in the latter and was confident in my answers. I took my test on the 15th, and by the 17th got an interview invite for the 18th which almost went too well, and the second interview was with the CEO of the bank the very next day (he was really cool (he barely asked questions and was just gisting). On the 18th when I was there for my first interview, a couple of people just wrote their tests and two of them were asked to wait only to receive the news they were the only ones who had passed and that was the last batch. Hence, my apprehension about the chances of anyone still getting an invitation for an interview. I do have information that there will be a November batch as well, so I guess if you didn't get an invite you can re-jig your CV and try again. All the best. Cheers, Shalom. |

Interesting story OP, keep up the good work. |
Aderibigbe_AAA: I laugh in Persian, the greatest achievement of your school is that one of your graduate made first class in law school... Wow, you are just like an Arsenal fan who rejoice over winning a match , then what should teams like Bayern or Barcelona do...I don't know why we keep arguing over this Private Uni vs Public Uni thingy, tbh it's tiring. For every public uni grad you boast of, there is a private uni doing just as well. E.g Gilbert Benson Oladeinbo (Best student in Law in Practice and Overall best student*, 2013) I remember shaking my head on here when folks on here mocked his 4.92 at Babcock Uni (2012). Please can we stop these unprofitable arguments, public Unis have their strengths so do their private counterparts and moreover brilliant students are everywhere. Private Universties may have started as a safe haven for those who couldn't make the Public ones but that is definitely not the case today thanks to unending strike actions and lecturer migration plus the illusion of private Unis dashing out marks and grades are just that an "illusion". Have a blessed Christmas, ciao |
Personally, I believe he would outgrow it but don't bet on it incase he doesn't Most boys at some stage of their lives were like this (not excluding myself) What I can advise you do now tho is set tasks or goals that'd require him to do leave football for him. For instance, 4.0 minimum CGPA (if you know he can) and use his PS or whatever as your bargaining tool. 3.89 means no TV or PS and put ur foot down too. This is just an example but things like that can help. It's better this than him doing much worse things, just help him turn this passion for football to something more productive. Tbh tho most boys usually come around by themselves but that doesn't mean you can't force his hand. |
Pastor Kun: The Pastor Oseni must have been drunk when he made that statement. He should first repent from the tithe fraud perpetuated in his church before he thinks of ridding Lagos of criminals.Firstly for someone who refers to himself as "Pastor", do you not think you are judging this man? Secondly, the issue of tithes to the best of my knowledge is a personal decision, nobody puts a bullet in your head for not paying. Therefore, I find your rants rather amusing because Pastors and teachers have for years preached holiness and repentance but still that has not stopped the congregation from fornicating or whatever "catches" their fancy. Also, you would like to know that Jesus did not condemn tithes altogether (at least to my understanding) in Matthew 23:23 which says “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You give a tenth of your spices—mint, dill and cumin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law—justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former." While I do not drink or support drinking, I also do not support the proposed closing down of beer parlours as it is a means of livelihood to some. God has given us freewill to choose between what is right and not, taking away what is wrong will not necessarily make people do right. Finally, Beer is not what leads to hell (it is what we do when drunk that can), neither do beer parlours. The pastor should focus on making people people see reason why they should not drink as that is a better alternative. God be with us all |

Lol! In as much as I know it's a man's world, women really do enjoy benefits that men can only dream of. We need to stop wasting time on this issue of gender equality but rather focus on gender equity. One of my favourite lecturers at Babcock University, Prof. Opeke explained in detail the difference and gave a quick test in class that day, while teaching she asked that our tables and chairs be moved back - immediately all the girls got up and left the job for the "men". There and then she pointed out that if it was money being shared now they will scream equality but when it came to hardwork it was left to the men. Same with other aspects of our society, women will only scream when they aren't getting the better deal ( I mean, at Tennis grandslams women play the best of three sets while men play the best of five all for equal pay). Equality deals with treating everyone as the same, but even the staunchest of feminists will agree that men and women can never be the same, be it biologically or any other way so why bother? Equity however deals with treating people equally with respect to their differences. Is it somewhat impractical? Probably, but it is a better option than banging on about equality when clearly we aren't. As Opeke would say "Equality is about buying the same action toys for ur male and female children but Equity means buying barbies and other female-oriented playthings for your daughter which cost the same as the action toys you get your son. |
@PastorKun, I'd like to a share something with you, just this last week I was blessed by the e-grace convention in which you were one of the speakers - I learnt so much that I became truly born again and went out during an altercall in church just this Sunday and rededicated my life to God and believe me God has been wonderful to me. So when I read things like this: what comes to mind is scripture which says "remove the log in your eyes before proceeding to removing the speck in another". Moreover who made us judge anyway? I'm not in anyway in support of the "said action of the workers" but still I will rather work out my own salvation in fear and trembling before the Almighty!! I feel for your friend, I really do but holding a grudge or refusing to let go for over nine years? He doesn't have to attend the church but he really needs to forgive and let go. Let's put things in perspective here, Jesus was beaten, a crown of thorn was placed on his his and crucified for our sins and yet on the cross he pleaded with God to forgive the very people hurting him. Let's be true followers of Christ, he set the perfect example for us. Putting this out there will do more harm than good (I believe). God have mercy on us all. Amem |
Live and let live |
Hmmm Since it means so much to @dmalam, there you go! I don't know what the fuss was about but I can't complain... Two posts ![]() |
Aii... Etisalat of life! 5th #okbye |
I never post on here but lemme make an exception for this before it turns into another Dillish/Maria When issues like this arise, division of labour works best. Decide the probable outcomes Ghana-Dillish? ROA - Bassey? Nigeria - Dillish? Angola - Bassey? Ethiopia - Dillish? Then divide yourselves into teams to ensure this (a la assembly line). There is no need to split votes, if everyone does his/her job they'll both be safe Namibia and S/leone will save their own... That's my two cents |
Novak hit a mind boggling 38 winners against just 3 unforced errors! I hope he hasn't peaked too soon! Serena vs Lisicki should be a good one, Sabine's got power but still #TeamDjokovic #TeamSerena |
iykmora: good ridance...#vika ... #masha...screamin machines! Not that I care for either, but de Brito who beat Masha sceams even louder! |
Nadal, Tsonga, Sharapova and Azarenka out! #TeamSerena #TeamNole |
Generosity and Kindness isn't about helping those who will reciprocate, if you are moved to help this man please do so. This is not the time to be self-righteous, who knows the fact that common men and not the huge artists helped save his life could humble him and turn his life around. Nothing is too small as long as it comes from your heart. One of my professors always said and I quote "how do you expect to receive when you are holding on to what you have with clenched fists? " God's ways are not our ways - it could be the key to anybody's breakthrough and please let's stop judging those refuse to. God bless us all. |

Second set Nole!!! Adje Nole |
Serena to pound Sharapova tomorrow! But first Rafole XXXV today and No1e is gonna do the unthinkable and win in straights! #TeamSerena #TeamDjokovic |
biolabee: ok.. u maybe right but in the last 2 years.. it has been mostly 1 & 4 jamming in semis...U know what they say "the luck of the draws". Not to worry there are many conspiracy theorists who believe the draws are fixed, but then it would have made sense to keep Nole and Rafa apart till the final. |
biolabee: Well done guys,,,,Here, I have to disagree with you. The no1 seed goes to the top half of the draw while the no2 the bottom half, seeds 3 and 4 are are randomly placed so they have a 50/50 chance of being either in the top half or bottom half although they do get their own quarter. 5,6,7,8 as well but the are likely to run into one of the top four seeds in the quarters. |
mystikal: what is Djokovic doing? Rough play oNo excuses but Jelena Gencic, his very first coach died a few days ago and he was distraught, it's okay for him to lose a set. Anyways he's through in four sets. |
Novak two sets up 6/2 6/2 |
I had a feeling Nole was going to send a message by giving Grigor a beatdown, too early to say but it seems like Baby Fed will be happy to pick up 8 games today! #AdjeNole |
