Thanks however I wish things could go on back to d way they were
Once the foetus was made to be a clump of cells or clots it became a disaster

Throughout history widespread abortion has always been akin to degradation of societal values though it serves a purpose

However that is a moral position.

Legally abortion has no ethical, spiritual implications... Its even deemed safer than childbirth

cococandy: Na wa for you o.
It was only on one thread I said I didn't read the post but only the topic. So now that's my style? Phew.
Anyway the thing is you haven't made your point clearly.
I think she's calling out women here.
But you think what?
I don't know what to admit to.
Is the problem the emasculate in quote or don't you agree with the body of the post?
If it was someone else would you see it that way?
Or because you don't believe she'll ever call out women you doubt if this one is sincere?
I think each post should be taken as it comes and not misinterpreted because of the posters history.
Which is what it seems you're doing and is wrong. That's all.
If I see your point and agree with it,I'll tell you..

PS that word is english... not linked to US or UK eh?

cococandy: It depends on if you're on american or british english.
My device definitely gives me the autocorrect on it.
Which means that I'd put it in quote too if I was typing.

But I'm not saying that's why she did. I'm saying it could be. And I'm saying if that's why, then we can't use the quoted word to discredit the whole post.

Meanwhile I'm not good at nuances. So give it to me straight oga.

My friend cococandy.... cococandy.. i love debating with you but at times... lipsrsealed

Try and understand others' posts before u just respond.. understand the nuances tooo

Emasculate is correct grammar...and the quotes are the killer\
wink wink

e·mas·cu·late iˈmaskyəˌlāt/ verb
make (a person, idea, or piece of legislation) weaker or less effective.
"our winner-take-all elections emasculate fringe parties"
synonyms: weaken, enfeeble, debilitate, erode, undermine, cripple; More
deprive (a man) of his male role or identity.
"he feels emasculated because he cannot control his sons' behavior"
archaic
castrate (a man or male animal).

In English writing, quotation marks or inverted commas (informally referred to as quotes or speech marks) are punctuation marks surrounding a quotation, direct speech, or a literal title or name. Quotation marks can also be used to indicate a different meaning of a word or phrase other than the one typically associated with it and are often used to express irony. Quotation marks are sometimes used to provide emphasis, although this is usually considered incorrect

cococandy: which makes it cool that this time around it's for the women to sit up

And you dear my friend have a very weird way of comprehending people. If I read you correctly, you're saying she's giving women tips on how to actually emasculate men rather than discouraging them from it?
If that's what you mean, all I can say is 'WOW

So someone who calls guys out frequently can't one day chose to call women out? Is that an impossiblity?

If your conclusion was based on the fact that the word emasculate was in quote, then it may be a wrong conclusion.
Emasculate is not a correct english word. I don't know about the OP but anytime I'm writing I put words like that in quote because my device gives me auto-correct on them.

EnlightenedSoul: YES, SHE CAN.

The reason she's pro-choice instead of pro life, is for the simple reason that believes her opinions or anyone else's are not the determinant of such a decision FOR OTHERS, and that a woman has the faculty to decide, and take whatever stance she feels is morally right.

She can believe abortion is murder, and she can be ANTI-ABORTION, but she also believes her fellow woman has the right to make that CHOICE!

EnlightenedSoul: Fact: Pro-choice Feminists can be anti-abortion.

Can someone explain to these ladies

A pro choice feminist can decide not to abort BUT NOT BECAUSE SHE FEELS ABORTION IS MURDER

damn...

Sophyrocks: Pro choice or no pro choice, i do not give a damn about what anyone feminist or no feminist has to say about accepting abortion. If what is in a pregnant woman's womb is just a clump of cells, why get rid of those cells? Isnt it for the simple fact that you know too well there is life in it capable of developing into a full blown human? Why get rid or disrupt life growing in there? that clump of cells is LIFE!! You will only remember it a life when you really want a child from your wife? Come on!!!
Jeeeeeeeezzzzzzz. what a pathetic logic!
It sounds pathetic to you... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

It is not men who fought for abortion

It is women like you who form the bulk of the pro choice movement

This has been about highlkightibng the double standards by female activist

Abortion is getting rid of a clump of cells...it is not life

See popular quotes below from pro choicers

http://civilliberty.about.com/od/abortion/tp/choice_quotes.htm
3. Kristin Luker:
"Pro-choice and pro-life activists live in different worlds, and the scope of their lives, as both adults and children, fortifies them in their belief that their own views on abortion are the more correct, the more moral, and more reasonable. When added to this is the fact that should 'the other side' win, one group of women will see the very real devaluation of their lives and life resources, it is not surprising that the abortion debate has generated so much heat and so little light."

2. Katha Pollitt:
"Young women need to know that abortion rights and abortion access are not presents bestowed or retracted by powerful men (or women) -- Presidents, Supreme Court justices, legislators, lobbyists -- but freedoms won, as freedom always is, by people struggling on their own behalf."

4. Ayn Rand:
"One method of destroying a concept is by diluting its meaning. Observe that by ascribing rights to the unborn, i.e., the nonliving, the anti-abortionists obliterate the rights of the living."

6. Frederica Mathewes-Green:
"No woman wants an abortion as she wants an ice cream cone or a Porsche. She wants an abortion as an animal caught in a trap wants to gnaw off its own leg."

9. Diane British:
"If (Vice President Dan Quayle) thinks it's disgraceful for an unmarried woman to bear a child, and if he believes that a woman cannot adequately raise a child without a father, then he'd better make sure that abortion remains safe and legal."
Sophyrocks: These bolded points are what i have been hammering all along. But No, many of them you see here value e*j*a*c*u*lation than Human life. Just imagine what they are saying here. Upon all the risks involved in abortion, see many of them here advocating for it seriously!!! But the same men will reject a female who has had many abortions! If all females sleep with these men and abort, which womb will be left to go round? Helep me ask them ooo. And somebody here is still saying that Nobody has told him how bad abortion is upon all the cons mentioned here!!

Chai!! Tufiakwa!!! No value for human life and the female reproductive system!! How will they get children in the future if they continue like this with the high rate of infertility in the country?
Family › Re: Should Men Be Forced To Pay For Kids They Didn't Want? by pickabeau1: 10:30pm On Jul 05, 2014
Cococandy... this dance is really going on and on

A feminist can keep or abort her baby.. she should not see abortion as murder which it is not.

Comprende?

dont worry...i know who is confused and its not me wink

cococandy: You seem to be the one who doesn't know what you're professing.
Let's just for the sake of argument agree that feminism is all about a woman's right to abort.
In simple clear terms it means if she doesn't want the baby, she can get rid of it? Simply put.
That means she could want the baby or not.

It is about the freedom to chose. Wrong?
Hence if she wants the baby, she can't be made to lose it and vice versa.
Doesn't it then follow that there will be women feminists who support abortion and those who don't? And each saying their right to keep or abort the baby be preserved?
How is that contradictory?
All in all the right of the individual woman in question is recognized and each case treated according to it's merit.

So one feminist thinks abortion is cool, another has to?

The underlying theme is that each woman is allowed to do what she feels is best for her in her own case and be ready to bear the consequences!!!

What about the men here in support of abortions? They are feminist too?
Confused much?

Read my response above

You are the one that is kidding me.. pro life feminism...puhleezeeee

See below article from the feminist bible..jezebel

http://jezebel.com/5972943/there-is-no-such-thing-as-a-pro-life-feminist

I expected more from u.. E Soul.... grin grin grin grin

Despite the mission statements of pro-life, conservative political action groups like Feminists for Life and the Susan B. Anthony List and Sarah Palin's repeated use of the F-word, there is actually no such thing as a "pro-life feminist." Sure, you can be a feminist and make a personal decision to never get an abortion. But who the phuck are you to actively work at taking away other women's right to make their own personal decisions about their uteruses?

You are not a feminist, that's for sure.

This week's cover story of Time magazine is a summation of all the little battles that abortion-rights activists have lost since winning the war with Roe v. Wade 40 years ago. That "92 abortion-regulating provisions—a record number—passed in 24 states after Republicans gained new and larger majorities in 2010 in many legislatures across the country," isn't surprising to us, as we grapple with that depressing news regularly. So perhaps what was more intriguing—for feminists who are up-to-date on the endless fight for reproductive rights—about the the Time story was the publication's inclusion of a companion piece titled "Pro-Life and Feminism Aren't Mutually Exclusive," written by Emily Buchanan, the executive director of the Susan B. Anthony List, "an organization that works to elect pro-life candidates to office." Because although people like Buchanan insist that "pro-life feminism" actually exists, the logic behind it remains fuzzy at best.
EnlightenedSoul: Are you kidding? Especially high income families with their sense of honor, though low income as well.

You're not making sense!

Feminist = rights activists = pro choice

Yes, a feminist can absolutely believe abortion to be murder. It isn't in conflict with feminism.
Family › Re: Should Men Be Forced To Pay For Kids They Didn't Want? by pickabeau1: 10:25pm On Jul 05, 2014
Assumptions
i never gave myself any label. i could be a prochoicer for all u know

I only said it was contradictory that our feminists here call abortion murder.. do u understand now

let me now make it clear to you in simple sentence using ur own words

A pro choicer does not have to abort however she is not bogged down by laughable notions of conscience as whether she is terminating a life as she is getting rid of a clump of cells. Whether or not she aborts is her personal opinion

So back to the topic.. if a guy gets a girl preggers and says he does not want the pregnancuy... this is what i expected from you

The girl should abort the pregnancy after it is not alife and just a clump of cells

GET IT?.. very simple

cococandy: Ok let me break down my stand in simple sentences that are not confusing.

Pro choice recognizes the right for a woman to terminate a pregnancy in cases of emotional, physical or psychological health issues.

Pro life says life is life and under no circumstance should a life be terminated.
No true pro lifer will advocate abortion in a case of r@pe. But you as pro lifer will.
Isn't that 'watered down'?

I actually don't support abortion just because.

I support abortion in cases of r@pe,in.cest,health issues et all. Does it mean that the foetus is less 'human' in those cases?
Of course not. So one can't truly call themselves pro life if they can advocate abortion in such scenarios.

And I remain convinced that no matter the situation that led to it,there are sentiments and emotions involved. It can't be wished away.

I had to laugh at the bolded... lets not make this a pro life vs pro choice
\you dont need to explain the merits of each stance to me
If u have been following the debate, i stated it was contradictory a self professing feminist equated abortion to murder
You cant murder a lifeless being

It just re affirms what i have always said.. our web feminists dont have a clue of the ideology they profess

However I agree with u on the stigma especially in lower income areas

grin grin grin

EnlightenedSoul: On the topic of deformities and birth defects: women were not allowed to abort for those. Only when there was a high risk to the mother's life, and that option was only available by jurisdiction of a doctor.

Raped victims were verbally supported by law, but in practice and not by society. Due to the stigma, women would end up having it done illegally anyway for the discretion, and protection from victim-blaming and shunning.

There's a reason she didn't lie. There was a wish to reform for the listed reasons, and more.Feminists came by much later on the issue of rights.

How can you say that about pro-choicers when I just explained to you that pro-choicers can be anti abortion! Pro-lifers are clearly the unreasonable ones here, both from the medical and societal standpoint.
Family › Re: Should Men Be Forced To Pay For Kids They Didn't Want? by pickabeau1: 10:09pm On Jul 05, 2014
Sentiments
According to prochoicers and their scientists who have spoken and made it a fact
You need to learn more about this... grin grin grin grin grin

http://www.prochoiceactionnetwork-canada.org/abortioninfo/misconce.shtml

his article refutes some common misconceptions about abortion.

Human life begins at conception.

There is no scientific consensus as to when human life begins. It is a matter of philosophic opinion or religious belief. Human life is a continuum---sperm and eggs are also alive, and represent potential human beings, but virtually all sperm and eggs are wasted. Also, two-thirds of human conceptions are spontaneously aborted by nature.

Abortion is the murder of a person.

Personhood at conception is a religious belief, not a provable biological fact.
Religious communities have differing ideas on the definition of "person" or when abortion is morally justified. In the Canadian courts, however, a fetus has consistently been found not to be a person with legal rights.

Abortion is morally wrong.

Most people reject the position that abortion is always wrong. In fact, abortion often has positive benefits for women's lives and health. Many people believe that bringing an unwanted child into the world is a crime, and that forcing a woman to have a child against her will is morally wrong. Many who are opposed to abortion for religious or moral reasons believe that it is wrong to impose their values by civil law on everyone.
cococandy: Yes. Blood clots. Bunch of cells
Non viable outside the womb
Not taken the human shape or form
Not alive yet.

Is that the reason for the abortions? Hardly.

Is it possible to be attached to it? Definitely. The moment you think of it as your child it becomes one.
Even if you're pro choice, you will get attached to your foetus if you see it as your child.

That's why it's a big decision to be able to go ahead to have an abortion if it's the only solution.
I repeat it's not something to be toyed with.
