Now the last chapter of Malachi, God spoke of tithes and offerings. Tithe was also given by Abraham prior to then. When Jesus came, He also commended both tithe and offering. Nowhere was this abolished, He even said it should not be left undone. Infact if you look at the laws Jesus spoke about, alot was relating to the ones His Father specifically gave and the ones regarding the mount of Horeb.
At Jesus death, He became our offering for sin/atonement so every offering that relate to sin and atonement (purifying) are no longer required because Jesus is the ultimate sacrifice.
Tithe & thank offerings or gifts were never to atone but in appreciation of what God has given them or yielded or gave to them. It is an appreciation of blessing to God and God still blesses again.
Paul himself gave alms and offerings in Acts 24:17 and referred to the tithes and offerings used in the ministry of the Levitical priesthood in I Corinthians 9.

In all, everything good thing is to be done in Faith and with a willing mind. NOTHING IS COMPULSORY, even giving to the poor or parents but at the end of the day, God is not mocked for what we sow is what we will reap. There is nothing to fear in that.

My 2 cents in kind:

We need to keep this lady in our prayers so that there are no complications from the surgery. This stuff is not moi- moi. I just had a goiter removed myself a few weeks ago and my voice and breathing were affected and I am still not recovered. I had this goiter for 15 years, if I had known then what I know now - I would have removed it immediately I got to oyinboland. I was fortunate that the complications were only voice related and that at least I can still breath without a tube. Mind you, my goiter was not as half as big as this woman's. Things to watch out for:

1. Calcium complications from a thyroid surgery can lead to the organs seizing including the heart even days after the surgery has been completed.

2. The lump must be sent for pathology testing to check whether its a benign lump or it is cancerous. If its is cancerous,she needs to under go further treatment. Fingers crossed it is benign.

3.. She will be placed on supplements to do what the Thyroid does in the body, without supplements to replace thyroid function, lethargy , depression and eventually death could occur.

Please someone that is on ground should discuss the risks of the surgery with her surgical team so that she is monitored like a hawk. Please make sure that the surgeon has done this procedure before many times. This goitre cannot be less than 20cm across so its a major surgery.
Also if she can be referred to an endocrinologist to help her stabilize the hormones for the first few months.

I don't mean to sound gloomy but I have found that people tend to trivalize goiters that its not a major issue...it can be.

Now I have said all these to indicate that we may need to contribute more than the initial surgery cost so the organizers of this rescue effort can bear this in mind.

I really wish her the best and I'll send my kobo kobo as soon as I know where to send it.

kimco: In actual fact, i later had that same idea u had.. However, the part of juugo transferring is an a55pull. He never did this b4, not once, then suddenly for convenience sake, he can do it. like the dude u quoted said, he run wild when he gathered senju chakra....it still has to run thru him to even be transferred and at that point he'll go wild.
