eagleeye2: Bro, after my first withdrawal yesterday, I was charged #65. I made a second withdrawal after about 3hours later, I was charged another #65 the same yesterday. Today again, I made my first and only withdrawal around 4:30pm, and I was charged #65. There is something clearly wrong here. Either someone somewhere is ripping people off, or the machines maybe high on Origin. Is that your first withdrawal of d month |

OK.. I watched.. facts stated in the clip
13.2 percent in judiciary, 15.6 in directorships, 21.7 in cabinet positions
Overall 32 percent representation (1 in 3)...
Well there are questions to be asked also
How many women are in these fields in the first place How many women are in these fields but being denied advancement opportunities compared to their male counterparts
Edwina Currie made some good points and said women who came in via special arrangements were useless in parliaments
Hence quotas defeat themselves in the end
The other lady did not make any points especially with relation to pregnancies in women
LOL... theres one angry guy in the background |

eagleeye2: I am not counting it. But I normally withdraw just enough to cover my expenses for 24hrs (or 48 hrs for the weekend). After 3 withdrawals u will be charged |

eagleeye2: No, that's not even what is happening to me. After the first withdrawal yesterday, they charged me #65. After the second withdrawal, the charged another #65. I thought it was done in error. Today, again they charged #65 after only one withdrawal. I have been noticing this recently, like a month ago. But didn't pay attention to it. Because the second text message normally come some hours later. But yesterday and today, both messages came along with my normal withdrawal text messages. How many withdrawals have u made this month |

bodashee: hi guys. This one that everyone is so quiet today, fear is catching me o. I just did a story on the growing trend of women driving Keke Marwa (tricycle) in Nigeria and the problems they face on a daily basis. Now I'm working on the topic of brideprice. Mostly we hear the bachelors complain, but I want to hear from the women who have had run-ins with the Nigerian brideprice system. I'm searching for people who are willing to discuss their experience on TV. male and female. Maybe u ask the ladies In their fun room |

I agree Spy360: Thinking retrospectively on Cech vs WH
Though most pundits put the blame on him, and they are right because of his pedigree, but was Cech really to blame for Arsenal's loss? No.
On the first goal, the defence went to sleep allowing Kouyate a free header from the front of goal. Cech came out to salvage the situation but due to the distance from where he was, he couldn't get there on time. If he had stayed back, would he still be blamed? Of course they will still blame him for not coming out.
On the second goal, Chamberlain lost the ball while trying to dribble out of the defence, Zarate got it and prepared to shoot, but shockingly Koschieny (what was he thinking, you have Cech not a cat in goal) failed to close him down instead blocking Cech's view, and bam, goal. Yes Cech was wrong footed but if the defence had done their work, we wouldn't be discussing this topic today.
Do you agree with my opinion? |

Which is why they should be shelved entirely in the discourse for gender equality

Generally quotas are useful and help increase participation
However they become an end in itself over time and encourage mediocrity over time
I will view the vid later |

Family › Warning For Women Who Want To Freeze Their Eggs by pickabeau1(op): 9:26am On Aug 12, 2015 |
A rejoinder to this thread https://www.nairaland.com/1950664/facebook-apple-freeze-eggs-femalewhere egg freezing was being pushed as the next frontier New research asks for moderation Women who want to freeze their eggs to use later in life are warned today that the procedure does not always work. In a study of 11,000 cycles of IVF, experts found that using frozen eggs was successful 14 per cent less often than using fresh eggs. Overall, cycles using frozen eggs led to a birth 43 times out of every 100. Using fresh eggs, comparatively, was successful 50 times in 100. The researchers said that frozen eggs may become damaged during the thawing process.
The procedure to freeze a woman's eggs does not always work, according to new research.

Pictured are embryos (fertilised eggs) frozen in liquid nitrogen The study, published in the JAMA medical journal, was based on data from women who used donated eggs. But the authors, from the Centre for Human Reproduction in New York, said that women who freeze their own eggs are likely to see even lower rates of success. Dr Vitaly Kushnir, who led the work, said: ‘Egg donors tend to be carefully selected healthy, young, fertile women. ‘Women electively freezing their own eggs for social reasons to postpone fertility tend to fall in the middle, they are generally not infertile but most are not as young and healthy as carefully screened egg donors.
Therefore, these women need to be counselled appropriately about all their options and if they in the end choose to freeze eggs, should freeze a large enough number to have a good chance of a future live birth.’
Around 600 British women a year pay up to £30,000 to freeze their eggs until they want to start a family. Information from private clinics shows that interest in egg freezing is increasing in some parts of the country by up to 400 per cent a year – with some women in their late teens and early 20s considering the procedure. Dr Sue Avery, director of Birmingham Women’s Fertility Centre, said that the risks and benefits of different techniques should be made clear to any prospective mother. ‘It is very important that women who are freezing their own eggs for future use are properly counselled,’ she said. ‘There is no guarantee that we are going to have an embryo transfer, let alone a birth. It is extremely important that women have the proper information.’ Centre for Reproductive and Genetic Health explain IVF procedure Robert Winston warned last year that egg freezing has been ‘grossly oversold’ – and most women who put motherhood on ice have very little chance of having a baby
But Dr Gillian Lockwood, medical director of Midland Fertility, pointed out that a woman who is 40 will be far more likely to have a successful birth if she uses eggs she had frozen at the age of 32. She also pointed to the results of 2011 study conducted in Cyprus, which suggested that under careful treatment frozen eggs work just as well as fresh.
Professor Rebecca Sokol, president of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, added: ‘There are a host of reasons that a patient may need to freeze her own eggs. ‘When faced with chemotherapy or other cytotoxic treatment, egg freezing is the best hope of preserving a woman’s fertility. ‘If sperm cannot be obtained at the time of a fresh IVF cycle, egg freezing can salvage the cycle.’ The data comes after IVF pioneer Robert Winston warned last year that egg freezing has been ‘grossly oversold’ – and most women who put motherhood on ice have very little chance of having a baby. He said that the process is ‘grossly oversold by commercial interests with very little practical chance of a baby in most instances’. Lord Winston added: ‘That’s not to say it shouldn’t be done, provided it’s safe. But I don’t think people who are having their eggs frozen realise just how low their chances of having a baby are.’

Now, despite my getting his angle, I was still confronted with the parlance "shey na like this we go dey dey"? Who e don help?
I don't know how I managed to miss presenting that line of thought while replying him.
I understand that we are more of realists than idealists, but does that mean we should stop striving towards the ideal? Or not air that which resonates within us.

Matthewbriggs: @mizmycoli I am not sure this whole pacifist ideology you have going on is feasible in the world of politics because by default. Politics is a battle, a battle of ideas, not a field where people drink and listen to music. It's an immense battle of interest and survival.
If you are lucky to sit in a media strategy meeting, Where spin masters and Media strategist design propaganda, Your would come to realize how ignorant and unrealistic your doctrine is, and how heartless these politicians and their handlers are, the level they can go to sabotage each other.
The world is a very brutal place, it's not an utopia, It's eat or be eaten. It would be in one's best interest to view it from a very realistic perspective instead of living in denial.
If PDP follow this your Pacifist doctrine they should kiss 2019, they should wait till 3030BC.
The only reason APC won the election was because they saw it as a do or die affair, PDP or any opposition party needs to give APC twice as much dose of their own medicine, if they are to win. Because the fact is APC will continue with the antics that brought them to power and they ain't giving up anytime soon.
The only point that I agree with, which I have always implemented is the importance to respect each other people's political leaning, engage each other with respect and never let it get in the way of how you relate with them as a person or professionally. I have a way of compartmentalizing my relationship with people, In political discussions you are the enemy, I would do anything under my moral compass to bring you down, while In real life and business, you are my friend, I would do anything to help you grow.
Both worlds do not cross each other. In all you said how have the people benefitted from the politics being played For me I think most of the fiery debaters are beneficiaries of either APC or PDP... And that is why they are so passionate Cos I fail to see any reason why youths support profligates who are busy looting the commonwealth, incite ethnic and religious divisions n sponsor militias That is the only reason that will make sense Cc MizMyColi |
