Physiological Vulnerability of Women and Men

Evidence from research suggests that women’s risk of HIV infection from unprotected sex is at least twice that of men. A woman’s body has the ability to retain a high concentration of semen in the vaginal canal. Similarly, women are exposed to infection because of the extensive surface area of mucous membrane in the vagina and on the cervix through which the virus may pass. Uncircumcised men are also at risk because the delicate area under the foreskin may expose them to infection if they have unprotected sex. Young women are at a greater risk because of abrasions they may have during unprotected sex since they tend to have a thin vaginal lining
http://www.iiz-dvv.de/index.php?article_id=393&clang=1

Women's Biological Susceptibility to Infection

Although women's greater biological susceptibility is now well accepted, this was not assumed early in the epidemic, when the vagina, as opposed to the anus, was thought by scientists to be a rugged tissue that protected women from infection.Surveillance statistics, however, showed that heterosexual transmission accounted for more infections among women than men, suggesting that women might be at greater risk of infection if exposed through heterosexual intercourse. Plausibility was strengthened by analogy with other (albeit bacterial) sexually transmitted infections, such as chlamydia and gonorrhea, which exhibit different transmission probabilities from men to women than from women to men.

Prospective studies of serodiscordant couples and of men's contacts with female sex workers then showed that women have upward of twice the probability of infection if exposed to HIV. Thus, the growing epidemiological understanding of gender differences in transmission probabilities through vaginal intercourse came to serve as the lynchpin of the vulnerability paradigm. The model rested even more compellingly, however, on arguments concerning women's social vulnerability.

2. Have u watched this movie - Single Moms Club?

3. do you serious need evidence to support that STDs catch women faster than men?... grin grin or you are just trolling

But in truth, it's like strong drink; it serves to reveal their innermost thoughts and desires.
Marriage is in a parlous state - and with this SSM absurdity, I'm even more saddened - but doubly resolute. I believe marriage is worth championing in it's essence. But aspirationally, not these tick-box, burger munching marriages as espoused by our GRG. What else do we have?

No, both threads have ulterior motives from the OP's perspective and both contain enough poison to harm the unwary.
I wonder what anyone expects when a self professed ethnicist and religious bigot opens a thread espousing marital harmony...
She preaches submission in one face and disrespect in another then couches it with "I respect my husband..fallacy" grin grin grin

Women will always need men for procreation and provisioning, at the very least. They also enjoy status announcements or upgrades and a wedding delivers on that.

Can't say I'm surprised at the idea of it, and I wouldn't say it's brazen, they do have the anonymity of the internet. However, this and many other comments on here go to confirm that marriage is dead/dying. Divorces are the in thing now, or at least separation.

And I find it duplicitous and ridiculous that there's a thread for intending wives and another for Treachery101 by the same character. My mind is asking, "why bother get married when you can have all the diick you want single?" It's not like she's advocating for a till-death-do-us-part kinda marriage. So what is the point? The wedding?
I wonder also

tanx 4 understanding. With this depth and few injuries and at least 3 additions in summer, we hope to contend next season. Till then may God keep us alive.

lols.. ofcourse, i do understand wat ur are saying. Even bellerin played left back this season against gala. But from august to december was to much for any manager to keep u in top 4 let alone contention 4d title. No kos, no sczeny, no ospina, no arteta, no debuchy, no wilsere, no ox, no walcott, no ozil, no giroud. Now dat is alnost a complete set of team, and u could see d difference when some came back. Same happened to dortmund and they where battling relegation. Only sturridge had major injury and liverpool took months upto 6 months to catch their stride. Yaya went to nations cup, came back and was outta form and mancity came from title contention to dragging 2nd spot with we and man u heck even liverpool were eyeing the spot also. Though silva was partly injured then. Not really an Akb but at least lets see tins rightly..

Like i said bring out d factors and lay them side by side, analyse and then lets talk. Or if u dont mind we can analyse it 2geda.
Nice analysis

I have to give you that

I get all you saying however arsenal needs to do better

Last season ..we competed for d title
This season.. Not so much..very bad start due to kos out n injury to Olivier....

Lets hope tomorrow is successful n we start next season better

Cool.

tanx for the corrections and my bad for using such words.

Ok, lemme ask. Wen we had such a bad form this begining of season, did u notice how thin our squad was?? It was virtually alexis carrying us through either wit draws or wins. It was so bad that we have to use monreal and debuchy as cb, chambers at dmf and so on unlike last season were we were beating smaller clubs but gets found out by bigger or ''less big'' clubs(everton away, soton(A) also). Did u watch dis two matches??. Granted we lost to teams were we could have actually won and if i should call these 'lesser' teams(swansea, soton and spurs) u would notice they are no small team like hull or burnley. Fact is we've made progress even if the pts contrast the opinion. But bro, i'd pls advice u factor other tins, lay them side by side then analyse them and not just look at the surface(pts) then conclude. Everybody knows progression goes beyond that...
No probs ... smiley
Once again you are making assumptions for a world class manager

5y ago...we played arshavin as a striker against stoke
There was a time eboue played left back

My point is this..

Injuries are a part of the game and he has to adjust and ensure the 3 points

No disrespect but I've been reading since morning and I discovered just now that this your argument is baseless and not needed

So u mean that moving up a figure isn't achievement?

Last season, we struggled to finish fourth. RThis season, we comfortably ended up in d 3rd position thereby removing worries of play off by august. If that is not improvement, then you are just a blind man arguing that the sky is black( because that's what you see)

stats is just like mini-skirt, it only makes u imagine, but neva reveals 2 u d real details. Last season were we had our good run of form, we beat d smaller team but whopped by d top teams aside totenham and liverpool at home. Away we were ganged rap*d even by a mediocre man u team. Wen we had injuries u could see we struggled even against an eveton team. Dis season was totally different, aside d early season were ravaged by injuries, u could see d team spirit, d team depth, d pragmatic approach in big games by wenger and so on. So if arsenal really regressed den all other teams aside chelsea totally regressed also.
No need to use the word gang*****

Its a serious word for a football match and as a female you should be more circumspect with such words

Yes arsenal were defeated heavily by Liverpool, Chelsea and man city yet managed to get 79 points

This season we defeated Liverpool n city and obtained 75 points

If you don't understand what the stats are saying
Let me expatiate to you

It means while you lost woefully to your rivals last year you were able to beat the lesser teams while now you beat them but lost to the lesser teams with a swing of -4 points basically 2 draws....

How is that improvement

There was a reason behind that post but didn't want to share it....it was because of this issue of my dad physically abusing my mum that made me say so. I hate talking bad about him and wouldn't want to tarnish his image cos he is still my dad. Said that because, I got a job in lag through a friend and was thinking of relocating to stay with her so that I can make my own money and be able to take care of her. I love my mum so much and wouldn't want to loss her. The issue between my mum and dad started when I was a child, then I and my siblings would be at a corner and cry while he beats her, my mum didn't want to leave the house cos we were still little to be without a mum. My mum is very quite, gentle and a strong Christian, I remember when I do sleep with her and she doesn't sleep cos she's always praying. She always told me to be prayerful that its not something normal then...

It's really an attempt to re-write their personal histories as "not slutty". Unfortunately, being a woman can be a life time of seeking validation sometimes grin!

Of course, on balance, women will draw the short straw, more of them wil be used and discarded. For it too work, extreme gynocentric laws -such as in Sweden - have to be enacted.

Exactly - men wil never suffer slut-shaming, the dynamic means it will remain mostly a female slur. The aim should be to press for chastity for all.

TV
Really surprising. until this women understand .. they will always enter 30s alone, used and dumped
after the proliferation of threads extolling single motherhood, there is a renaissance of above 30s love and reinvention of them as being even more desirable than young nubile women

See this extract from a post

Till Nigeria stops shaming women for having and acting on their sexual urges, nothing like confession.Mr Femi Kayode released na ked pictures of his ex gf when their relationship went south and he went to the extent of shaming her family and giving details of secrets she 'confessed' to him. ladies, talk at your own risk!

After all,if confession is so good why do the men who have forgiven cheating partners lie about it and join the crowd to shout God forbid, kick her out.Simple, its cos it is a taboo for them to accept that someone shined Congo better than them and they'd be laughed at for still going on with the 'slut'.

Funny, instead of challenging women to be morally upright and place a high premium - virginity anyone? - on themselves theirs a cadre of "aunties" on this board who encourage women to slut around, "test" grin and use lies, deciet and manipulation to snare men and secure their marriages.
Exactly in one thread you see advocating of love
In another you see sluttery being advocated

I wonder why the solution for sluttery is more sluttery rather than curbing of wild tendencies and recognition of the treatment of sluttery by the sexes

Equality of promiscuity

I pity the misled women who swallow the hogwash line and sinker

For the male players, the state of arrangements suit them fine. they continue to have their pick and fill

Instead of them to repent of and confess their own whorish pasts they are busy trying to ensure everyone joins them in their swill. Always trying to redraw the slut-shaming line so that they are on the right side of it cheesy! I pity those who fall fo rit.

Men should be unstinting in their expectations, no divorcees, no babymama (not even your own sef grin), no to high count dick-hoppers. Due your due dilligence and study them well. Most of all seek God for grace and discernment. Oh the stories I could tell...

Like I've said before you can sell yourself short and have a "burger" marriage or aim high and dine on chateaubriand. The choice is yours, but beware burger stalls are easily set up and purveyors are everywhere.
