We should challenge honestly. Atleast we made stride in challenging the big teams in games this season as opposed to last season.
Nope we did not so better against top opposition
Just that the embarrassing tennis scores of 2014 were not repeated

Arsenal against the top 6 (top 4 plus spuds n Liverpool)

EPL

10 matches

2015 season

2 Wins 5 draws 3 losses (wins city 2 nil, Liverpool 4 1
losses to Chelsea, united and spuds)

2014 season

3 Wins 3 draws 4 losses (wins against Liverpool, spuds twice

Losses to city, Chelsea, Liverpool n united)

2014 season arsenal was more competitive than the just concluded one

each season has its peculiarity. We finished 4th last season and 3rd this season. That's progress
Yes in a way you can look at it that way

But in another way it means you won less games compared to a season arsenal was really competing

we shouldn't, we should aspire for more which I think we're. It's wrong to totally dismiss the progress made
Ok..i look forward to more aspirations

Theo has already started saying the normal ish at the end of the season

So Dnipro that lost last nights Europa league finals are mediocres. So by not finishing top of your class every year you are a mediocre?
So as Chelsea did not win the FA cup this season they are mediocres?
Bros please spare the rod.

Mediocrity means not making progress not just being at the top of everything. There can be only one first but there are many winners.

An example is Swansea finishing 8th. Much praise has gone to Gary Monk because that is progress. PROGRESS.

So like it or loath it by finishing 3rd this season it's progress for Arsenal, and if or when we win the FA cup, then we have excelled.

Afterall Chelsea hasn't won the FA cup for the past two seasons.
Are you aware arsenal finished 3rd with less points than last season where they finished 4th

Chelsea has not won in the last seasons yet won epl ND league cup..but heck...arsenal is better for winning facup

The issue in relationships in the West lie with excessive freedom or liberties and substituting one sexism with another sexism. While the comment you bolded has to do with the African society. If we are empowering girls, boys need to be taught to adapt to the empowered female. The recurring theme in many of my arguments between male and female relationship is totally against excessive freedom or giving one gender power over the other. Power is intoxicating and whether in male or female, people will bastardize the power they have over another.

There are many factors, economic and enlightenment are one of them as you say. I would include tradition/cultural/religious practices especially in Northern Nigeria. I would also include home bringing. In the South, we see good statistics for girl literacy but there is a reliance of men being the providers so 'me as a woman do not need to do so much.' Also if we are interested in empowering the girls, are the boys ready for such empowerment? Because what I've found out is that many women have been empowered, but many men do not respond favorably to these empowerment and feel threatened especially in the arenas of family and relationships. Female empowerment is rubbish if the men are no taught to adapt to these changes in societal norms.
good u agree there is improvement.
general enligtenment, education and better economic opportunities favour eveyone irrespective of gender

can you explain the bolded or list what you mean
are u saying in the west, there are no issues in relationships also?

This is an equality issue and as a conservative prude I really do not want to see another woman or man's chest randomly. grin
1, 2) Western men should be told to cover up instead rather than Western women not covering up. That was their culture, otherwise they are hypocrites for campaigning for nipple freedom since they insinuated African women as primitive for being bare-chested, unless they are now the primitive ones. Society dictates to the media and not the other way round. Excessive sexual freedom does nothing for society rather you unleash deviants with loose morals to the society.

3) Brea.sts were sexualized by societies who covered up the chest area, primarily the white man. And Africa was known as a sexual hot-spot to the white man due to the nudity in Africa. Such nude liberties cannot even work in Africa today, because African minds have been polluted already.
Haha
