Family › Some People Don't Deserve To Be Called Parents by Pidggin(op): 12:25pm On Sep 10, 2016 |
A few days back, we were attending midweek service when it started raining heavily. After the service ended some people were stranded, including me.
As I was contemplating what to do next, I suddenly saw a woman whom I know quite well. She went over to some kids and asked if she could use their umbrella, they agreed and she left with it
A few minutes later the father of these kids came for them and he came with a small umbrella. The eldest child quickly informed him that she lent hers to someone but the dad scolded her harshly for doing such, he then commanded all of them to follow him at once. I repeat the rain was very heavy but he insisted that they had to leave. He used the only umbrella he brought with him to protect himself from the rain while his kids 8,7 and 5 had to enter it like that
Some minutes later, the woman's son returned with the umbrella but the kids had left, an old man who needed the umbrella and knew the family collected it from him while the boy had to enter the heavy rain back to his house, also without protection from the rain
Imagine this, a father used his umbrella to shield only himself from the rain while his kids had nothing to protect themselves, a mother knew she had no umbrella in her house yet she borrowed from kids and sent her child to return it knowing that he would have to enter the heavy rain back home with no alternative. The irony of this is that both of them are landlords.
This issue may seem trivial to some but I saw many things wrong
1)Why should a parent chastise a child for being kind and giving to another person especially as we all attend the same church and the kids know this woman well
2) What was the father trying to teach them when he refused to listen to them but instead ordered them to follow him immediately
3) How can a father shield himself while his kids are unprotected
4) A mother thought she needed to be protected from rain but didn't think her child needed it too
As trivial as this may seem, there will be other more important situations where these same parents would have to play the role of teachers and protectors and they will certainly fail again
If God has given you the privilege of being a parent, you must realize that it comes with some level of responsibility. Some will not waste time in telling you the number of children they have but how many are real mothers and fathers? Only God can judge that. |

greatnaija01: SAME TO YOU..... hypocrite. I HAVE FACTS EVEN FROM SCRIPTURE but what do you have.... emotional tantrum .... I PITY YOUR CHRISTIAN LIFE It seems you lack understanding, read your Bible and ask the Holy Spirit to explain To the OP, the Bible says "Many will say but father, we performed many miracles in your name " and Jesus will say "I do not know you" God is never mocked, whatever a man sows he will reap. God knows how to handle such things, I suggest you leave this matter for Him. The bible contains several clues to detect false preachers those who fall for this have themselves to blame. He says "By their fruits you shall know them " |
Christianity Etc › Re: Why Catholics And Protestants Cant Unite. by Pidggin(f): 4:15pm On Sep 09, 2016 |
italo: Protestants themselves are confused and can't unite. They teach millions of contradictory doctrines and they all claim that these contradictory doctrines are from the Holy Spirit...which is obviously false...the Holy Spirit doesn't contradict himself.
Some Protestants believe Mariology, infant baptism, veneration of saints, use of images etc while others reject them.
Some Protestants accept gay marriage and abortion, while others dont.
Some Protestants believe that Jesus is God, others say he was just a man.
The problem is not Catholics...our belief is unified and unchanging...
The problem is with those who decided to preach contradictory lies and untruths...and lie that it is from the Holy Spirit. 1000 likes |

Family › Re: Please I Need Help!!! I Am Dying Gradually by Pidggin(f): 9:14pm On Sep 08, 2016 |
Jamieb: As i am typing this now, i am confused and depressed at the same time with my eyes full of tears. I am 24, done with school and now working but my life feel so empty like something have been plugged from my life. Most night, i go to bed feeling so lonely and dejected with no body to turn to. Physically i am very much ok but deep down i know something is missing in my life. I just dont know how to explain it. My upbringing was terrible. Grew up in a repressive manner with my dad who never want you talking with any one but just being indoor. Communication was zero. He goes out in the morning and return at night. We just cook and eat and go to bed and that has been the routine through out my teen years. For this, i never new what love was or is and never mixed with the opposite sex as i am constantly tormented with fear and that of rejection. lest i forget, being poor was an understatement as I am my elder bro could only boast of one meal per day most day . I entered the University thinking i would be free but rather it became worst. Through out my Uni days i never mixed up with the opposite sex let alone have a girlfriend but just a few male friends who i even get tired of. Most i do was to play football and recoil again into my shell. I knew something was wrong deep down but couldn't pin point or even know how to tackle it. Outside this feeling of hollowness , emptiness i slipped into masturbation unconsciously in my secondary school and it followed me through my uni days and even service and am still struggling to stop it finally. gradually i keep dying everyday with no one to run to as it seems no one have the solution to my problem or even understand what i am feeling . Sometimes i try to console myself that it is well , the next moment am back to square one. I have lived in Ibadan for almost two years now but no friends as I find it making friends let alone the opposite sex. I just can't explain it. Just like a self conflict within battling inside me with the struggle to be free. At this age I dont even have a girlfriend to call my own let alone one to marry. Any time i feel like walking up to one , all of a sudden it look as if something like a shadow is thrown over me an i get blank with it visible in my face. It is really bad that at a point in time , a friend of mine was forced to call someone else to come stay with me cos i was crying over the phone. Over time, I dont know if to term it psychological or spiritual one. I might be happy this moment when in the midst of people and the next everything winds down to a zero level, not to talk of when alone. I feel so lonely and dejected with no where to run to. As a matter of fact, am scared of living alone as i dont know what my life will be like. I know I can get help in the family section more than any other place . Please I need help. I need to get my life back. . It seems you are being oppressed by demons that have taken advantage of your low self - Image. You need deliverance. First give yourself to Christ, fast and pray, seek an annointed man or woman to pray for you, good luck |

I think you will find things harder if you use a Nigerian IP. Our people have destroyed our online reputation, sometimes I wish I was from another country The more Nigerians and Indians spamming online sites the more difficult they make it for genuine people. Learn a skill and use it to offer good service. You will get clients |
