The prices of food items appear to be crashing down following the arrival of new harvests at Kano markets. As at yesterday, a bag of rice now sells for N17,500 as against previous price of N19,000 and above. Also a bag of maize which sold at N13,000 last month was yesterday sold for N10,000. ‎Most consumers believe that the drop in food prices will continue as the year comes to an end.

I am happy for people who can make such a sacrificial gift but sister, was that money hers to give? Her parents gave it to her for a specific purpose and she should have informed them of her intentions. According to the story, it is still the same parents who seem to have paid for her to continue her education. So was it really the girl who gave?

I believe what God is interested in is not the amount given but the heart behind the giving. I think the girl should sown all her pocket money instead. She just gave her school fees, knowing her parents would cover her, so where is the sacrifice on her part?

All you have succeeded in producing is anecdotal stories. Yes, you're female, but how many females are in your class, department, faculty? And why are they there? As a result of passion or because of government grants and incentives which, interestingly, the males don't usually have.


Also, the likes of Zuckerberg dont have female equivalents in America is because of backward Nigerian mentality? Right.
