PoliticsWhat Is Wrong In Aso Rock? by pimper24(op): 10:08pm On Feb 05, 2017
Like seriously Robert Mugabe is 92 years with less health complications. Other older African leaders stayed old without much health complications. Shortly after Umaru Yaradua emerged, his health deteriorated, same with Buhari. What is really wrong in Aso Rock? Reuben Abati said something like that but no one believed him.

CelebritiesRe: Blackface: “Let’s Educate The Illiterate (2Face) As He Leads The Protest” by pimper24: 10:56pm On Jan 31, 2017
Let us even answer blackface on the "literate point" he raised against 2baba, (whether na person write am for you and you post am with him name to excuse yourself small, na wahala you just buy) bro, praises and blames in a constitutional democracy go to the helmsman. If during Buhari's tenure in office, the civil servants of a state were owed salary, the discredit remains with him despite whatever any Governor did with the budget. It is his duty to right that wrong. Protest against such act being channeled against the helmsman is not out of place. Please get back to your prof cos the "illiterate" was right after all

As many celebrities supports 2face protest, some celeb however does not support the idea of the protest.

However black face is also against the protest see what he wrote below

Jobs/VacanciesI Rejected $1000 Salary In 2008. by pimper24(op): 11:04pm On Jan 29, 2017
Its quite worrisome the sorry state our Naira has assumed over the past months. Reportedly, Dollar now exchanges for almost 500 Naira. I remeber in 2008 when I was hired by a South African firm which offered to pay me 1000 dollars after some moths training. I accepted but left few months later for a salary of 160k when the best I could get out of 1000 was not more than 120k.
I continue to "rise" on jobs with time and my present height is 350 k monthly salary. I cast my mind back in amazement.

EducationMy Case With Walden University by pimper24(op): 10:19pm On Jan 29, 2017
I thought I had seen a place to run a PhD programme when I hurriedly filled the Walden University Form online and course advisers were everywhere on me, calling me every now and then to enroll in the next session. I then decided to give it a push. I registered and, thinking that I would be asked to run the hog of documentation that is normally rigorous for foreigners applying for US schools, I was told not to mind that I could do that on demand and in the course of lectures.
No demand was made for any fee as classes commenced immediately. I was inundated with video clips on which I would make contribution on the virtual classrooms. Then I was posted to the North East and unfortunately, the internet telecommunication facilities were vandalized same week. I would call the course adviser anytime I visited Abuja to narrate my plights, the answer would be "just manage to write something on the virtual classroom so that you will be represented" (I thought inside me, phd programme shocked). After few more days, I was told that I would be withdrawn on a certain date if nothing was coming from me. On that date, my account was slam shut.
Two months after, I got an email demanding certain amount as payment for the period I used the Walden University materials. The amount demanded was surprising. I told then there was no contract and they said I signed one. OK I then told them, same contract was frustrated by an act of war as the internet facilities were vandalized by insurgents. They said an international collection agent will recover the money for them. They have sprung into action so far and I am waiting for them in the local court.
Above all, I think Walden University is not telling people the truth about their on line programmes.
Car TalkRe: Most Practical Location For A Fire Extinguisher by pimper24: 9:08pm On Jan 29, 2017
The best place is where your hand can easily reach in times of emergency. I recall how hard it was for me to get the extinguisher from the boot when i was trying to save a vehicle opposite me from fire. The Honda CRV just in from of Ministry of Defence Abuja ran into a side concrete slap and smoke started gushing out of the hood. I matched my break and scampered out of my car turning to the booth to remove my fire extinguisher. Before I could finish, flames were already rising with the smoke. Thanks for other road users that quickly yanked out their own fire extinguishers and sprang into action. I still met them but slower than I thought cos i was driving just behind the ill-fated car, I still sprayed and we got the fire out before bringing out the occupants. So somewhere in the front seat for the fire extinguisher is still more practicable.
connkg:
I have searched NL Car Talk, but didn't find a previous thread on this. FRSC officers here present, I have decided to relocate my extinguisher from the trunk to underneath the driver's seat, in hope that I have the presence of mind to remember in an emergency.
Most burning cars (fuel, not electrical) begin either in front of or behind the car cabin.
Valid point?

Wow, too professional an advice. You could rake in some though opening a clinic for these advice. Thanks.
SirWere:
OP, it's a little early to be pondering on the possible career futures of your kiddo. He's just 2 yrs old, let him grow up a bit.

His ability to arrange things may be a portent for creativity; or the ability to solve complex situations.
You can help him by bringing home puzzles and tricks for him to solve and observe the speed and dexterity at which he solves them.

A pratical place to start might be to buy these Ben 10 puzzles around and see how he fits it or sokoban.

If he's a genius, get him a Rubik Cube.

If he's a super genius, get him a Yottaminx. grin grin

In any case, let the kid enjoy life still before choosing a "suitable" career for him.

Sharp guy overthere grin grin
rekeson:
I am a Guider in mmm, but d truth is the Guiders bonuses are part of what wrecked the system.

Then again, some greedy participants like a christian brother of mine who ran 8 accounts with 3 million each, and all 8 accounts were registered under one main account for harvesting 10℅ referer bonus. He used the details of hungry fellow xtian brothers to execute this plan. Each account holder was paid 30k monthly.

He cashed out in November and abandoned all the accounts. He made over 15 million from the scheme within just 3 months.

The only chance of return for mmm now is to force all those whose money are in the system to ph and pay a particular amount, in order for them to be able to access all or part of their frozen mavros.

I don't see any other way cos the media especially nairaland made sure that new participants boycott mmm. Only those trapped in the system can rescue d system. There are no new members to rescue the system as it stands now.

I came across this notice at Onitsha shoprite today and I kukuma no understand.

From what I read there, they are saying that should in-case anything happens at that mall, even a collapse (God forbid), they cannot be held liable or subjected to any lawsuit or even pay damages to any one.

Most shoppers there does not know of this clause. They even expressly said that you cant hold them responsible even with any event that maybe caused due to their carelessness or negligent.

And I ask, who then should be held responsible if something bad happens at that place; me,the Government, I guess not?
They are displaying their ignorance of the law. You cannot escape liability by such stupid writing if by their act of negligence anything happens to the life of a shopper. Are they telling me they can do this in South Africa where they are coming from? Naija where anybody comes to poo and get resounding ovation
InvestmentThe Dilemma of a Ponzi Scheme- by Pimper by pimper24(op): 5:35pm On Jan 16, 2017
Sergey Panteleevich Mavrodi tagged a Russian criminal by the media, served jail sentences for severally creating pyramid schemes. Reading through this man's profile, I was stunned by one thing; he often made it public that what he created is a pyramid scheme, thus warning intending participants to beware. I had wondered why even the government license lottery houses where people still invest millions and lose it. Lets leave this as an argument for another day.

Mavrodi could be managing MMM at the higher level, but the organizers at the different micro locations, being different countries have really focused solely on their gains without thinking outside the box for improvement. MMM another Mavrodi's pyramid scheme will continue to stagger towards a final collapse not just because of the fraudulent POP "uploaders" or the media but because of the lack of creativity of these selfish elements. I would say that I was one of the lucky few that cashed out before the last squeeze. But for a "mistake" I made to confirm a fake teller, I would have had almost half a million stuck in this system. During the December rush, I decided to confirm the fake teller uploaded on my Personal Office (PO) after I have written Support without any response. I severally made a distress call to the dubious participant,s guider who always jabbered what sounded unclear. I later resigned to fate by confirming the fake POP in order to cashout, after sending a "cursing" sms to the dubious guy. This, ironically turned out a blessing when just a day after, the unimaginable (or do i say the expected) happened.

However, Now that efforts are being made on the recovery from December shut-down which many rumored would be the Waterloo of MMM, a conscious honest efforts should have been made to prove the detractors wrong. The media has already dealt devastating blow and continues to do so (I was severally banned in this forum for airing my incurable optimism towards this scheme- I accept my errors). The media has been agog with different unconfirmed stories against the scheme in the name of positive journalism and the duty towards moral suasion (at Nairaland, you have an absolute guarantee of front page grin). A consistent and dogged effort would definitely negate such campaign and restore confidence in the system. This effort is not just momentary statements describing the next time to release mavro but collective action of the participants especially the "millions and trillions" guiders who have so meaningfully benefited and still have much to get from the system. The only way confidence will be restored is to create liquidity and turnover no matter how slow and however small. A percentage between 30-40 of what these big people have, stuck in the system must be PHed which fund will be utilized to settle the smaller investors. Before the end of the first revolution of this which I call "guiders' push", some new entrants and people like us on the "watch list" will have started PHing. The funds fizzling into the system at this point will still not be used on the "big guys", (after all they have eaten much). Traffic will continue to be stirred in a way that the news of "I have just been paid" will be predominant. At a certain threshold, the guiders and others will now begin to be paid in batches.

Moreover, after these skirmishes, new entrants must register a stake before they are allowed to participate. This does not entail depositing money in any bank but the normal GH of some due beneficiaries in the system before PHing the sum that will attract a GH. This initial "deposit" acquires little mavro with time and could be accessed to determine the growth. It can only be withdrawn when the participant wants to opt out by closing his account. Same participant could lose the money if he engages in fraudulent practice in any way. This will create group consciousness and forestall sharp practices.

The truth of the matter is that the global financial system works in a way, benefiting some people opportune to be in the grid through the mechanism of what looked like the MMM galaxy. They are the well established people that can never know poverty in their life. The difference in MMM is that it is an all comers' affair which can easily be bastardized like what the scheme is experiencing presently.

Above all, know that nothing lasts forever, even the well structured banking systems. But be assured that some things could stand the test of time through some conscious efforts.

CelebritiesRe: I Don’t Know Gideon Okeke – Chiwetalu Agu by pimper24: 12:39pm On Jan 15, 2017
My simple advice to you Gideon. If you are in show-business, you have to be careful what you take to the media. It could make you, it could mar you. You need your fans' asses together for you to grow especially now that you are still a rookie. If you gain the hate of fans, you are doomed. Reason, fans make you get awards and also motivate the producers to like you.

I thought there are grey areas to condemn in our movies, the real vulgarity like nude expositions, unprofessional conducts as shooting a movie hurriedly without much research, baseless make belief acts etc.

Personally, my family enjoys those Chiwetalu Agu's words and my wife was fuming when I told her of your rants.

Please be warned!
