new paparazzi: Have you not be informed that the site was attacked by hackers recently and it was not online for days. Seun is just trying to bring it back online after losing so much data. This just goes to show that there have not been a regular back up of data in NL. To put it in a clearer perspective, data backup is supposed to be carried out on a daily basis to guide against events like this which is not very uncommon in this computer age. Just imagine how much in monetary terms and how distressed its customers would have been if NL was a bank with more than a million customers. This is cheer carelessness! |
Lol the Americans live in a world of their own so do the British anyway. So very funny |
mazizi tonene: If u ask me I'd say that your parents should disown you and they should also be tried in court for sending a da.ft, senseless kid into the world to spread ignoranceMay the pestilence that befall Egypt come on u for bringing my parents into this. A course has been placed on u and u shall go about with this for the res of ur live u twart. Like I have always said, a leader is gotten from the kind of people about. U lot deserve the kind of leaders u get. I won't even bother buttressing my point on this issue Cuz I can see most pple on here already have a mind set. |
Mark Twain: Did you say resign for the fact a kid is hawking under his watch? Seriake Dickson should commit suicide for all the children hawking under his watch in PH. Akpabio should also write his suicide note. In fact all the governors should better yet resign and then commit suicide. Lol.smh. what a clown!Yeah u got it right there all the govs should bury their head in shame and resign. |
waaliano: Please we will like to read good thread because I don't see any reasonable thing to read here. What is big deal in a child hawking. She might be doing it to assist her mother or to help herself, even is not necessary to school but might be to buy something for herself. And who tell you that is not in school just because is hawking. infact I don't know what to say again. Please change your mentality many people do this very well and still become somebody in life. I don't see what wrong from what governor did, he didn't beat her nor abuse her because if he does you will still be the first person to start shouting on nairaland, facebook, togo, even you can leave your work and started shouting from house to house.why can't you leave this man even if he don't do anything again he has already achieve being labour president and governor. And after buying this chip you don't know what follows after then it might be "my little daughter I like what you are doing because I know you are using this to assist your mum before school resume, what class are you? Please face your study so that you too can become a good girl for our country, take this five thousand for the chips I buy and greet your mother for me...So what is your problem. Infact you are the attention seeker because governor has attention even since when he was labour president. Even if he talked president listen you can ask obasanjo then...if you want to post for us abeg go and get good news and share if not keep quiet.mtcheeeeeeeeEewSMH |
I really don't know where to start from. Can t even believe some people see nothing wrong in a kid hawking. I won't even stress about trying to convince anybody it is terribly wrong. Anywayz, I leave u all to ur opinion. |
What is the difference between a curriculum vitae (CV) and a resume? Answer: The primary differences between a resume and a curriculum vitae (CV) are the length, what is included and what each is used for. A resume is a one or two page summary of your skills, experience and education. While a resume is brief and concise - no more than a page or two, a curriculum vitae is a longer (at least two pages) and more detailed synopsis. A curriculum vitae includes a summary of your educational and academic backgrounds as well as teaching and research experience, publications, presentations, awards, honors, affiliations and other details. In Europe, the Middle East, Africa, or Asia, employers may expect to receive a curriculum vitae. In the United States, a curriculum vitae is used primarily when applying for academic, education, scientific or research positions. It is also applicable when applying for fellowships or grants. http://jobsearch.about.com/cs/curriculumvitae/f/cvresume.htm |
omenka: @ Op. Why hyperventilate over an event who's details you are oblivious of? Firstly, do you know what time of the day the pic was taken? What makes you think the child is suposed to be in school at that time? Secondly, do you know what transpired between the gov and the kid? For instance, there was a day i was at a gas station to get some fuel. Saw a kid hawking kashew nuts looking shaby and all. Twas around 9am n i thought she should be in school. Called her, bought one and enquired why she isnt in school and she told me she was chased away cos she had yet to pay her fees. Asked how much n she told te N500 (guessed they run the ubec stuff). Luckily i had just that amount on me, and i handed it to her, telling her to make sure she goes to school the next day. I'm saying cos from your viewpoint, the gov erred but i put it to you the pic tells us nothing about what hapened there on the long run but just captures a PARTICULAR SECOND of time. He may have issued some huge money or scholarship or anything, the pic doesnt say. And by the way, would it have been more appropriate if he had totally ignored the hawker, since your query borders on his patronage? If u ask me I'd say he should summon up courage and resign for the fact a kid is is hawking under his watch as governor. |
You got a point but you must know, its impossible to send all those suffering kids to school..
Are u serious? Did u say impossible? Do u realize these guy got their education practically free? U should know that the decay as witness in Nigeria today all started at these guys generation? I wont agree with that at all. |
unuane1: I had he gave her 1,000000 NairaHow do we believe that? And besides, would scholarship not have been a better option instead? |
Shame!! Edo State Gov. On It Again Pic Why can't our Dear (attention sick) governor just stay off the media for once? This is absolute display of sheer ignorance and worst still, his social Media Assistant comes online to publish these insulting pictures when he should be ashamed of the actions of his boss. The child in this photo is supposed to be preparing for school, or be in school doing something more deserving and not hawking. The governor (with this show of shame) is endorsing child abuse and child labor, buying chips from a child who is hawking on the streets. Only in a society devoid of good governance this kind of child abuse is celebrated. Should we be jumping up celebrating it as good gesture or humanity? what do you expect? A governor who didn't pass through a primary school system will never know who should be in school and who should be hawking.

"If I am not allowed to express my sincerely held belief that your religion is a crock of dangerous evil, dehumanizing superstitious garbage, then it seems to me that I don’t have religious freedom but you do, because I can assure you that I hold that view with a passion and a solemn intensity that can match anything that you’ve got to offer, it is for me a core defining belief, and a pillar of my whole reality, an absolutely unshakable fundamental conviction that resonates to every fiber of my being that your religion is in fact a crook of dangerous evil, dehumanizing superstitious garbage, that pollutes and degrades the world that I have to live in, and I’m not happy about it." "And if I feel morally obliged and compelled to make this known and loudly and often, irregardless about who claims to be offended because not to do so would violate every I am and everything I believe in, I wouldn’t be able to live with myself, I feel like a liar and a coward and well, something of a morale cockroach and that would weigh heavily on my conscious, I’m sure you understand.'' [Patrick Condell (born 23 November 1949)] |
''The moment you offer me any kind of scripture based opinion about what I should believe or the values I should hold or especially the morals I should exhibit, then you should expect to be graphically and comprehensively insulted for your trouble and I sincerely hope it hurts your feelings, harms your emotional well being, and damages your self image to the extent that you have to go and lie down for ten minutes before you can even pray." |

http://beforeitsnews.com/alternative/2013/12/pope-francis-declares-that-all-religions-are-true-and-¨adam-and-eve-are-a-fable¨-2855954.html For the last six months, Catholic cardinals, bishops and theologians have been deliberating in Vatican City, discussing the future of the church and redefining long-held Catholic doctrines and dogmas. The Third Vatican Council, is undoubtedly the largest and most important since the Second Vatican Council was concluded in 1962. Pope Francis convened the new council to “finally finish the work of the Second Vatican Council.” While some traditionalists and conservative reactionaries on the far right have decried these efforts, they have delighted progressives around the world. The Third Vatican Council concluded today with Pope Francis announcing that Catholicism is now a “modern and reasonable religion, which has undergone evolutionary changes. The time has come to abandon all intolerance. We must recognize that religious truth evolves and changes. Truth is not absolute or set in stone. Even atheists acknowledge the divine. Through acts of love and charity the atheist acknowledges God as well, and redeems his own soul, becoming an active participant in the redemption of humanity.” cont reading...

osystein: What is the correct figure for south africa's gdp? a little research from google gives a figure above $405billion in 2011, the figure today must have surely passed $410billion.U should know that SA economy have remained stagnant if not shrinking in past years while that of Nigeria has been in an upward trend in same period |
Out of this, Danngote own 1trillion, politicians own 4.5billion and 200 million people shares the rest |

Recently found out we only have few hospitals that have facilities to carry out cardiac catherterization and angioplasty and stenting when my dad had a heart problem just recently. Although the procedure was successful but he was however placed on a concoction of drugs for the rest of his life. My concern is, does he actually have to keep taking these drugs for life? |
