missyblissy:Present. Hello everyone. Happy ‘new’ year. Lol |
missyblissy:Amen to the prayers. Everyone here is so nice. Congratulations to all, wonderful Birth Stories too, i kept saying ‘wow’. Lol. I have been having some form of all day nausea, spitting, bloating since week 5 but At 12wks 5days (2 weeks ago), i woke up and as usual, started vomiting and retching. I suddenly felt a gush of blood and immediately called my husband. By the time he came into the bathroom, i was standing in a pool of bright red blood that just refused to stop. I pretty much felt I just had a miscarriage and just wanted to go to the ER to sort it all out. I wore a pad and off to the hospital we went. My husband was panicking but i was surprisingly calm. I just kept saying “Let your will be done Oh Lord”. After being admitted at the ER and getting my blood drawn for tests, we finally went to the scan room. My husband saw the baby first and screamed. . Heartbeat was strong too to the glory of God. Unfortunately, they confirmed I had a Subchorionic Hematoma and explained I needed to be on bed/pelvic rest and hope it’ll resolve on it’s own, as it typically does so by 20-22weeks. In 4 hours, i went through 5 fully soaked sanitary pads and eventually passed a huge fist-sized clot (sorry for the TMI). They also saw 6 fibriods (I was aware of 4) and told me 2 of them had gotten quite big- I knew, because I had been feeling serious pains from one and I could occasionally feel the hardness- Since then, I’ve been spotting very dark blood which my doctor says is good, as it just means i’m passing ‘old’ blood and no fresh bleed. I’ve also been staying super hydrated and been on house arrest lol. Next appointment isn’t until Jan 14th but I intend to go to the hospital so my nurse can use their doppler to listen to baby’s heartbeat. Hoping it all ends in praise. I’m 14wks 4days today and still tired, nauseous and still spitting. Wishing everyone all the best and happy holidays. |

Goodmorning. Please has anyone here ever carried cake to the US? Someone ‘needs’ undecided Red velvet cake and wants it from a particular place in Lagos. If you or someone you know has transported this successfully, kindly advise. Thank you so much. |
Goodmorning. Please this is totally unrelated but has anyone ever carried cake to the US? Someone ‘needs’ Red velvet cake and wants it from a particular place in Lagos. If you or someone you know has transported this successfully, kindly advise. Thank you so much. |
nefertitiram:Looooool. It definitely is! |
Good evening everyone. Wow, things are not the same on this thread o. What happened to the camaraderie among the expectant mothers? Lol, I hope some people haven't spoilt things for people like me ooo. Well, thread still exists(part 5!) and is sane, for that I am thankful. Well done Justwise. Good to see some Veteran mamas are still here rendering help (Nefertitiram and others) Are people like Phema, TVegas, Shawbabe, Okeksmama still here? Congratulations to you all, I wish you safe deliveries! Please join me in prayer that I too will be needing these pages soon o, and not just reading for fun. ![]() |
Good day everyone, Please what can I use as evidence of state of residence of husband? I have a “to whom it may concern” letter from his place of work, will that suffice? Thank you. |
Hello. Can a mistake on the indemity form be corrected before submission? I made a mistake with the 'head of institution' name and would like to change it. Help. |
Good day VO, I have a valid b1/b2 visa and I intend it to use it for the first time in April. I'm rounding up with my internship and won't be due for another posting (NYSC) till around September. I want to milk my holiday and spend 3months in the US visiting family. Now my question is, I know it's not illegal to spend 3months in the US but is it considered a 'red-flag'? People keep telling me to just buy a 1month ticket and then do change of dates when I get in. That's borderline fraudulent but I don't want to be sorry I didn't listen. Kindly advice? |
nefertitiram:So true. As much as I want a cheap fare, I'm still running away from Arik, Air maroc and egyptair. Sigh. It is well o. So anyone know 'cheapflights.com.ng'? Make I no enter 1 chance. Thanks. |
Good day everyone This beautiful tickets I'm seeing on Qatar and Emirates? So sad it's not available at that rate for we traveling for more than 1month. Please, please, pleaseeeee I'm looking for cheap tickets to NY from Apr-July. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Also, has anyone heard of cheapflights.com.ng? Is it a *suspect* site? |
Waiting on airline sales like ![]() Please if you see any, give me heads up Mbok. 2017 February end to return mid April. |
Ehen yes. I forgot to add that my sister's POE was Abu Dhabi and it wasn't really funny (to me sha because she doesn't even seem to care) The officer asked her for her work ID. She changed wallets last minute and didn't have it. Explained to him. He was raking o. That how won't you have your ID, when this is your first trip to the US in how many years. He stamped her in for a month and wrote limited stay. She didn't fret because her trip is only for 3weeks anyway, so nothing do her. |
I forgot to mention. It was my first time applying, the only other documents I went with were : 3 months payslips, offer letter from work and photocopy of my Aunt's passport-data page. |
Goodmorning everyone. I finally have a transcript to share. It'll be long because I want to be as detailed as possible, please bear with me. My interview was for 10am, left home at 6am to avoid stories that touch the heart. No traffic, got to VI around 7:30 and then wahala started. I just couldn't seem to locate the embassy. Lol I was just going up and down. Eventually got to Walter carrignton at 8:30. Na so I decided to sit in the car as per 'I'm too early jare'. Anyhow, when it was 9:15 sharp, I turned off my phone and took only my documents with me. Everyone had told me (and I knew that much from this thread) not to pay those hustlers along the road any attention. So I ignored all their 'sister stapler is free o, sister is your picture 5 by 5' etc. The walk was a long one because I didn't use the embassy car park gan gan. Security told me my picture was too big and I should go snap another one. I said no they will manage it like that. Oh boy! See the long queue!!! Eventually got to the front of the line for them to check my documents and sign jagajaga on my papers. The guy started laughing at my passport photograph. Saying 'na wa o. This one na portrait now. You wan hang am for wall?' Lol I sha said okay I will go and resize it outside but please give me something so I won't have to queue again. He did. Eventually, they called us in after sitting outside for a while. This was like 11am already. I was starting to fret, because everyone around me had interview for 11, 10:45 etc. I was just saying 'Omo 53,600 cannot waste o you will interview me today'. Fast forward to the interview hall. Goodness! Everyone and their mama really wants to leave Nigeria, even if it's for a holiday. Seeeeeee the crowd! Choi. One long queue to check your documents, join another long queue for fingerprints. Soon I was in front, and could hear people's interviews. While I know there's a lot of luck and God's grace involved in getting a Visa, some of us really shoot ourselves in the foot. I mean, how do they ask what your purpose in the US is and you say 'To spread the gospel'? Come on Ma. One babe that wore a suit was just making everyone laugh. She was so confident, even with her obviously rehearsed answers but oh, she was so confident. She even defined Botany for us. Lmao. She got her Visa. The VO that interviewed her was one white lady maybe in her late 30s with blond hair. So nice. She refused some, but she gave everyone a fair chance. Now to my interview. Middle-aged white woman at window 2 (Do they all stand for the interview too?) Me: Goodmorning. VO: Goodmorning. Me: *Coughs into my elbow* VO: Sorry, sorry. VO: So where are you going? Me: (*in my mind I'm like America now, before nko*) New York. VO: So the hotel you reserved is for how many days? Me: (thinking ehen...you want to whyne me a I? You think say na agent fill my form?) Hotel?? I'm not staying at a hotel. I'm staying with my Aunt and her family. VO: Oh okay. So what do you do? Me: I'm a Medical Doctor with **** VO: So what kind of Doctor are you? Me: (I didn't get what she meant) Excuse me? VO: I mean what's your specialty? Me: Oh. I haven't decided, I'm still undergoing my housemanship so I basically rotate through all major departments. VO: Okay so which are you in now? Me: Internal medicine. VO: What next? Me: Surgery. VO: When will you be done with the whole program Me: March. VO: Are you married? Me: *smiles and raise my left hand* Engaged to be June of 2017 (this is true o, I no wear fake ring o. Ehen) VO: (she no congratulate me. Lmao) Okay. So why is your first trip to the US? Me: (reaching for my old passport but still talking) Oh no. I've been to Ghana (told her when and why) and also Dubai (told her when and with whom) VO: Okay. Pick up your visa after 3 business days. And that's all folks. My interview was 3weeks after I filled the form, and I've read over a hundred transcripts since then. Thank you all so much. Special thanks to Seyewest, my cousin was able to fix the barcode issue. Tl;dr version: I went to the interview and I got the visa. ![]() |
seyewest:Thank you so much, You've been super helpful. LadyG, I read page 0, it just didn't answer my question clearly. Thanks anyway, it's clear now. |
oneted360:Not too long at all. I really appreciate the effort. |
LadyGuinivere:Exactly. So what do you advise please? Thank you. |
seyewest:Thank you so much Seyewest. Just getting to this. Will they update the barcode too? Cos it's clearly stated that you won't be allowed into the hall with DS160/ appointment confirmation barcode irregularities. Can you share more insight please? Or who has experienced something like this? |
Good day everyone. If an applicant needs to correct an information on his DS-160 after submitting, paying fees and scheduling an interview, what's the process please? Not a mistake with names/birthday oo, big deal information- previous travel history to the US. LadyG, I know you've talked about how to go about this and I know it must be irritating to get similar questions all the time, but I can't seem to find it on the thread. Please, Biko, ejoo, help. |
damoche64:September 14th, next Wednesday, just became available last night. Still available now. |
Happyday, Your response blew me away, literally. Lol. Thank you so much for taking the time to give a detailed response. I do not take it for granted. iCool, I'm on my own if I decide to do extra senrenren for now abi? Lol. Thank you for the Dropbox add. God bless. drHopeful, thank you. I saw some links to Nova here, I'll be sure to get on it after I'm done with the Official guide. All the best as you prepare to retake the exam, maybe 330, AWA- 5.5 this time? *wink* |
Hello everyone. I work full-time (weekends inclusive) and I'm looking to take the GRE in November, that's about 10weeks prep time. I'm working towards a combined score of 320. Do you consider this feasible? I would have only about 4hours study time daily and I've seen a lot of books listed here, but i know I can't go through them all. So what books would you consider good enough, especially considering my short preparation time. Thank you. |
Eeewo! You guys have reached Part 4!!! Well congratulations to everyone who has had a successful birthing experience. Better luck next time and God be with you to those who haven't. But Part 4?! Hian you people should wait for me now. I don't even know most of the people here anymore. Hello Justwise, Tvegas, Nefertitiram, "burden of proof" mama , favoredgal etc abbl. I shall join this ministry soon in Jesus' name. Stay safe everyone. |

Pitykitten:I need to reach you. Very big, very urgent. Pls |
[quote author=Riz2015 post=31568559]Hi Guys, I was wondering if any of beautiful and optimistic people can help me. You can't apply for anything! You have to pay your full bills. What you should do is browse this thread for affordable options. Please do not accept any USaids. |
Kizluv for President! LOL |
Justwise, I'm sure everyone appreciates the work you have been doing on this thread as it may have turned to a market place w/o you. However, can the rules be clear please? Today, one person shares a doctors number and the next day, another person isn't allowed to. Like someone mentioned, these hospitals couldn't care less about we on NLand plus they shouldn't be allowed to place adverts anyway (medical ethics). So ejo Sir, be flexible where you can. Then please you guys don't eat me raw for this ooo but when your opinion is disagreed with, no need to sound so irritated about it. No matter how sensible what you have said is, there are way too many people here and no one is obliged to accept your opinion. No need to sound like a know-it-all or be condescending. |

. Heartbeat was strong too to the glory of God. Unfortunately, they confirmed I had a Subchorionic Hematoma and explained I needed to be on bed/pelvic rest and hope it’ll resolve on it’s own, as it typically does so by 20-22weeks.
Red velvet cake and wants it from a particular place in Lagos.
