CrimeTeenager, Two Others Sell Siblings For N800,000 To Raise WASSCE Fee by PizzleGold(op): 12:42am On Dec 31, 2018
Operatives of the Imo State Police Command have arrested a 15-year-old Senior Secondary School pupil, Precious Ehiedo, and two others, Juliet Ogben and Favour Okoh, for allegedly stealing and selling two siblings between the ages of two and seven for N800,000.

The state Commissioner of Police, Dasuki Galadanchi, who handed over one of the recovered children to their parents at the command’s headquarters in Owerri, said that two-year-old Chiemerem and seven-year-old Mmesoma Nwoke were stolen on November 13, 2018, by Precious at Umuezeala Ama in the Ehime Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State on the instruction of her parents.

The CP said the teenager had requested money from her parents for the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination registration, but the parents allegedly told her to steal the children in order to raise the money.

The police boss said, “On November 13 at around 9am, one Precious Ehiedo, 15, daughter of Mr and Mrs Romeo and Uchechi Ehiedo, resident at Ogbuaku in Mbaitoli LGA of Imo State but natives of Abraka in Delta State, requested from her parents money for the SSCE registration.

“Her parents told her to go and steal children for them to sell in order to raise money for her examination. Being familiar with the two children at her maternal home, Umuezeala Ama, in Ehime Mbano LGA of Imo State, she stole the children.

“The girl and her father left for Mbano, but the father stopped at the Amaraku Market square, waiting for his daughter to hand over the children, who he had instructed her to steal.

“The 15-year-old met the children playing, stole them and joined her father at the Amaraku Market and both left with the children to Ogbaku.

“The children were sold to one Mama Joy at the rate of N800,000. Mama Joy, with one Favour Okoh, resold one of the children to one Juliet Ogbor for N750,000.”

The CP added that acting on credible intelligence, the operatives of the Surveillance Squad of the command recovered one of the children, Chiemerem, on December 15 at Agbor in Delta State.

He said that the command had spread its tentacles in order to recover the other child.

Galadanchi, who described as barbaric the act of trading in human beings, especially children, said the command would prosecute the suspects in line with the laws of the land.

He attributed the breakthrough to the community policing approach through which the command and community leaders and stakeholders in the state share mutual information and intelligence.

PoliticsFamily Disagrees Over Report On Cause Of Alex Badeh's Death by PizzleGold(op): 10:49am On Dec 28, 2018
Family of the slain former chief of defence staff, Air Vice Marshal, Alex Badeh, has denied report on the cause of the death of their son - Badeh was killed on his farm in Nassarawa on December 18. One of the suspected killers of Badeh had on Thursday, December 27, confessed that the former chief of defence staff was killed to rob him of huge sums of money The family of late former Chief of Defence Staff, Air Vice Marshal, Alex Badeh, has refuted claims by the suspects linked to their son's death that they killed him to seize alleged huge sums of money he had on him to buy farmland.

Vanguard reports that the family on Thursday, December 27, insisted that contrary to the claim, Badeh did not discuss any issue about the acquisition of land neither was he with up to N500 on the day he was killed.

A source gathered that this came as police authorities failed on Thursday, December 27, to parade five suspects, including two masterminds of the December 18 killing of Badeh.

The five suspects who the media expected would be paraded at Force Headquarters, Abuja, were not paraded as the police said doing so would jeopardize ongoing investigation and efforts to arrest other members of the gang still at large. The newspaper reports that the family said the claim was a “cook-up story to deceive the public and hide the killers and their intentions.” It was gathered that the family called the newspaper to the late Chief of Air Staff’s Abuja residence, to react to the claim by the suspected killers that he was killed because of the huge amount of money he had carried to his farm in Panda Development Area of Nasarawa state to buy additional land. But while delegating only one member to speak, the family was said to have insisted that the name of the representative be kept in secrecy. Speaking, the family member said:

''We called you here because we have been following your report in Vanguard since our son and brother, Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh, was killed by yet-to-be identified people.

“We are not happy with the report being put out to the public there on the circumstances that led to his death. We as a family, believe that some people responsible for his death want to deceive the public by hiding the facts of what happened, how it happened and those responsible.

“I want to emphatically tell you here that contrary to the claim that he went to his farm on the fateful day with huge amount of money to buy additional farmland, there was nothing like that. In fact, he had no money on him that day, not even N500 in the vehicle.

“As I told you, no money, I repeat, no money was in that vehicle. Not even N500 was in that vehicle on that day he was killed. I repeat that no N500 not even N1000 was in that motor he drove that he was killed that day. “Before his death, a villager who knew he was on the farm that day went to meet him to get money to buy paracetamol tablet for his headache but my brother could not afford the money for him. ''Instead, he asked the person if he could go to Panda Market. When the man said he could, our brother told him to pick 10 mudus (measured quantity) of maize to sell in the market and buy drug for himself, saying that was the only help he could render to him since he had no cash to give out.

“He took time to narrate to the person that as he was talking to him, there was a huge refuse dump at his house in Abuja and the people responsible for packing it, that is the Abuja Environmental Protection Board, had refused to do so because he had no money to pay for the packing.

“He added that his cook and the cleaner in his house had not been paid, explaining further that those were the reasons he went to farm on that day to pick some bags of harvested maize, like 100 bags, to sell so as to raise money to settle those issues.

“Again, he told his workers on the farm that since they have blocked his pension, his only source of getting money, only three out of the eight working for him can remain as he wouldn’t have money to pay all the eight anymore.''

CelebritiesI Don’t Depend On Movies Alone To Make Money –mercy Aigbe by PizzleGold(op): 2:17am On Dec 23, 2018
This year has obviously been a very good one for star actress, Mercy Aigbe. Apart from appearing in numerous movies and recording good sales in her boutiques, the actress also bought a new house and a Prado jeep in 2018.

Though there have been insinuations that she gets money from politicians, Aigbe insists that she is an industrious person. In an exclusive chat with Sunday Scoop, she said, “What drives me is the urge to succeed. I always want to be successful with whatever I do. I also have passion for acting and fashion, which are the things I do. People who follow me on social media can attest to the fact that I’m a very trendy person. Apart from acting, I have other streams of income. I am not a lazy person and I believe that I have not even achieved half of my dreams.”

The actress also stated that one of her children is already showing interest in acting. “My son is showing interest in acting and I usually say that whatever my children want to do, I’m going to give them 100 per cent support,” she said.

Speaking on the trend of Yoruba movies making it to the cinemas, Mercy said, “Yoruba movies going to the cinemas is a welcome development and we are happy about it. Cinema culture is not new in Nigeria; I would rather say it has been revived. I recall that when we were younger, we used to go and watch movies. I am happy that people are embracing cinema culture now because it is another avenue for filmmakers like me to make money from our works.”

However, Aigbe refused to categorically say which fetches her more money between home videos and cinema runs. “Both home videos and cinemas all bring in money; I wouldn’t say that one has the upper hand. I don’t agree that movies in cinemas have a short lifespan. As long as people demand your film, it will keep showing. DVDs are cheap while cinema tickets are costlier. We can also sell our movies to online TV channels,” she said.

Refusing to disclose the cost of the most expensive item in her wardrobe, the Heaven on my Mind actress said, “I wouldn’t tell you the price of the most expensive item in my wardrobe before some people think I have so much money and thieves come calling. However, the costliest item in my wardrobe is a Rolex wrist watch.”

CelebritiesHe Was A Victim Of Circumstance - KWAM 1 Reacts To Son’s Arrest In US by PizzleGold(op): 1:12am On Dec 23, 2018
The young man was apprehended as part of an international investigation into online 'love scams' and 'mystery shopper' schemes that made victims lose at least $2 million (N724million) over the past two years. KWAM 1 exclusively disclosed to Legit.ng that his son has been released on bail and was just a victim of circumstance. The veteran singer added that, his son was among the suspects but he is not a fraudster.

He said: “Sultan Marshal's Arrest: The True Story. Our attention has been drawn to the news circulating that Sultan, K1 De Ultimate's son was arrested alongside five other people in the US over Two million Dollars fraud. There is no doubt that he was among those that were arrested but what is however not true is that he is a fraudster. We can confidently say that he was not in any way involved in the crime, which explains the reason why he was the only person that was released on bail. The bail given to Sultan indicates that he is not involved in the crime; he is only a victim of circumstance who happened to be at a wrong place at a wrong time. Many detractors are quick to celebrate the news because to them, they want to get to the father. But the truth will always shine as light over darkness. Sultan, we believe will be given a clean bill of health.”

The residents said they did not know the victim was the former chief of defense staff until his death was announced by the Air Force - One resident, Idris Musa, said he had parked his vehicle and run into the bush when he saw Badeh's Tundra drive past and run into the robbers - Another resident, Abdul Gitata, said he was attacked thrice in the area and once shot at by the gunmen whom he said were usually dressed in military uniforms The late Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh (rtd), former chief of defense staff, was in his Toyota Tundra truck with registration number MUB 396 AA when he was shot by some unknown gunmen at a location in Gitata community on Keffi-Bade road, Nasarawa state.

Speaking on the unfortunate development, some residents of the community said Badeh was shot as he made his way from his farm between Koso and Kugwaru communities. They said the deceased chose to go through Panda road off the Keffi-Bade highway due to the dilapidation of the Mararaba route, Daily Trust reports.

Some residents also disclosed that the layout of the crime scene was consistent with the style of operation of gunmen who regularly attack travelers in the area. Witnesses reportedly described Badeh as being seated in front beside the driver, and shot in the trunk. They said they did not know the victim was the former chief of defense staff until his death was announced by the Air Force.

One witness identified as Idris Musa, who spoke in Hausa, said the incident happened at about 6:45pm on Tuesday, December 18. He said he was informed about an ongoing robbery on the road after being stopped by some drivers at Unguwar Mangoro, as he drove to Gitata from Keffi. He said he parked his vehicle by the roadside while looking out for oncoming vehicles near the bush, when he saw a vehicle run into the robbers.

He said: “This very man was coming with his car, Tundra, when he now switched on his head light. Then they started shooting at his car.” Musa added that he counted about 10 gunshots before he fled into the bush in fear, until he was called out by his colleagues after the gunmen left. He said: “When they went there, they saw the driver injured on the arm and another man already dead in the car.

He was shot in the stomach." He said a bandage was wrapped around the injured driver’s arm by soldiers. He added: “This is the third time in this month that something like this happens. Two people have been killed and one kidnapped this month." Musa said Badeh was shot few minutes from Zango Gitata, a community located between two military checkpoints. Also on the Keffi-Bade road is the Shitu Alao Barracks. A trader in Gitata, one Joshua Ade, however, stated that gunmen could operate about three times in a day before the two checkpoints were mounted. He said: “At times they come out three times in a day. We thank God because of the soldiers at the checkpoints.

Then we do hear gunshots from here."Ade said he saw the Tundra go by on the road on Tuesday while he was at his makeshift shop where he sells car spare parts. Few minutes later, soldiers at the Gitata checkpoints were seen speeding in opposite direction. He said: “It was this morning (Wednesday) that I got to know that the man was prominent. This month it is up to two times.

Two weeks ago, they operated and kidnapped about six people. “It has been happening before; it is because of this man that died which I think is an elderly person or top government official that everyone is hearing it. “Since last night, soldiers are going up and down. They mount road blocks down there and about 10 of their vehicles have been patrolling the area."

Another resident, Abdul Gitata, said he was attacked thrice and once shot at by the gunmen whom he said were usually dressed in military uniforms. He said: “The last time that I encountered them, almost two months, they shot at my car and broke three of my tyres. They usually lie down in the bush and just start shooting at the car. When you stop, they will kidnap people and go.

“That place is a bush, no houses there and there is a bending corner. Normally if you hear any armed robbery incident, it is that place. When you are coming from Keffi, your mind won’t rest until you cross the place. They operate even in the day.

“They (gunmen) used to have information. When security are patrolling, you won’t see them; but when soldiers are gone, they now operate." Meanwhile, We previously reported that President Muhammadu Buhari described the killing of Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh (rtd) as “very sad and unfortunate.”

The president, in a statement by his special adviser on media and publicity, Femi Adesina, in Abuja on Wednesday, December 19, commiserated with the family of the late four-star general, his friends and professional colleagues in the military.

President Buhari also condoled with the people and government of Adamawa over the demise of the former chief of defence staff.

FamilyMy Husband Subjects Me To Marathon Sex For Ritual, Woman Tells Court by PizzleGold(op): 3:07pm On Dec 19, 2018
Chief Ademola Odunade, the President of a Mapo Customary Court in Ibadan, on Wednesday dissolved a three year-old marriage between Tawakalitu Adeoye and Hakeem over threat to life and ritual making.
Odunade held that the court does not joke with any issue that had to do with life, hence the need for the dissolution.
“It is also obvious that there is no more love between Tawakalitu and Hakeem as a result of their differences.

“In the interest of peaceful living, the union between the duo has ceased to be. “Custody of the three-year-old child produced by the union is awarded to Tawakalitu and Hakeem shall pay a monthly allowance of N5,000 for the child’s upkeep in addition to being responsible for her education and other welfare”.

Narrating her ordeal, Tawakalitu, a fashion designer who resides at Academy area of Ibadan, said that her husband had stylishly embarked on a marathon sexual intercourse with her with the intention of using her for ritual.

“My lord, if I had listened to my parents’ advice that I should not enter into any marital vows with Hakeem, maybe life would have been pleasant with me today. “It all began when Hakeem started requesting for sexual intercourse from me every morning and night without any particular reason, an act which he was initially not used to. “Firstly, he takes his bath and then rush me to bed, sleeping with me.

“Each time he finished with me, I felt weak, subdued, restless and completely shattered physically and psychologically. “Until I made the discovery, Hakeem had planted a charm (Tira) under my pillow for two good weeks without my knowledge and I had laid my head on it.

“Then, I reported him at Eleyele Police Headquarter in Ibadan, but he pleaded with the police to prevail on me not to implicate him.

“He also told my relatives that I lied against him and that I must retract the statement of which I accused him of trying to use me for ritual. “Worst still, Hakeem derives pleasure in turning me into a punching bag at any slightest opportunity.
“These and many more are the reasons why I had to pack away from his home since Oct. 27. “Please save my life from Hakeem because he is spiritually diabolic”.
In his counter argument, however, the respondent refuted all the allegations leveled against him while consenting to the divorce suit. Hakeem who earned his living as an Alfa submitted that his wife merely cooked up what she said so as to get sympathy of the court

“I will like this court to take note of the fact that Tawakalitu is so adulterous and I have caught her several times in the act. “In fact, she and her secret lovers usually chat in my presence every night.
“My mother had also advised me not to marry her from the onset because of her bad attitude. “There is nothing I have not done to satisfy Tawakalitu.” (NAN)

Santa Claus collapsed and died in front of children at a school Christmas party.

The Russian Santa was energetically performing and running around with the youngsters before footage captured him coming to a stop and falling backwards.

As the confused youngsters run towards him, they can be heard giggling as they think his tragic collapse is part of the festive game.

But the actor playing Santa, named as Valery Titenko had tragically suffered a sudden and fatal heart attack.

Another cast member, a woman dressed as a clown, is seen rushing behind the tree to help the stricken 67-year-old.

As kindergarten staff confronted the young students, he was rushed to hospital in Kemerovo but died on the way, said a medical source.
The man named as Valery Titenko, 67, a well-known professional actor in the city, 2,230 miles east of Moscow.

It was revealed today that he had not been feeling well, and had complained of chest pains, but did not want to let the children down so came to perform for them.

A spokesman at the Musical Theatre of Kuzbass where he was a star said: “In recent years his health was not ideal.

“He had been through complicated heart surgery, but still performed on the stage and had been working at full capacity, not sparing himself.”
He had been given a day off from the theatre but insisted on attending the children’s festive party in Siberia.

“The man felt ill in the kindergarten,” said a medical source.

“He was taken in an ambulance but died on the way to the hospital.”

Crime'fulani Herdsmen' Abduct Children, Civil Servants, Lecturers In Ondo by PizzleGold(op): 1:26am On Dec 17, 2018
Suspected kidnappers have again struck in Ondo State, abducting on Sunday.

Among those kidnapped are two civil servants in the workforce of the Ondo State Government, who were travelling from Owo to Akure after a ceremony at the weekend.

They are Ayewunmi Ogunsemore of the Forestry Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Bunmi Falodun, a civil servant with the FADAMA programme.

On December 5, 2018, three workers of the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Owo in Ondo State, were kidnapped by gunmen.
A source gathered that the victims were abducted around the bad portion of the Owo-Ose-Akoko road.

Source confirmed the incident to journalists in Akure, stating that many travellers, including children whose parents were driving through the Ogbese and Ilu-Abo road on the Akure-Owo road, were kidnapped.

The abductors also raided some vehicles and their passengers and carted away valuables.

Rahman Abubakri, a Senior Lecturer at the Mass Communication Department of the Rufus Giwa Polytechic Owo (RUGIPO), who also escaped being kidnapped by the gunmen ,confirmed the incident in a post on social media.

Abubakri disclosed that another lecturer from Marketing Department of the polytechnic fell victim of the hoodlums who dragged him and the others into the thick forest.

“Around 5:20pm on Saturday evening, I narrowly escaped being kidnapped around Ilu-Abo on my way to Akure after a wedding ceremony which I attended at Omuo Ekiti. Nigerians are under siege. I saw the Fulani shooting sporadically from a distance. The bushes and thick forests we don’t care to go into have been well-studied by these Fulanis. Unfortunately, some kids were taken away by the kidnappers," he said.

“[At] almost the same time, a lecturer of the Department of Marketing, Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo was kidnapped by the same Fulani herdsmen between Ipele and Owo Road. Another kidnapping took place at Oba Akoko. Three persons fell victim as they were taken away into the bush. My colleagues missed being kidnapped on Friday evening."

Femi Joseph, spokesman of the Ondo State Police Command, confirmed the incident during a telephone chat.

According to Joseph, the Commissioner of Police in the State, Gbenga Adeyanju, had already ordered a team of policemen to comb the area to ensure the rescue of the kidnapped persons.

"Yes, it is true but we are on top of the situation as the Commissioner of Police has dispatched our men to the bushes around the incident of the zones in order to rescue those who have been kidnapped," he said. "So, I can assure you that justice would surely be done to those who are behind these evil acts and those who might have been responsible, we shall bring them to justice."
