My problem is that the real crime wasn't represented to the people by the dailies.
The media actually failed.

The crime committed by Etteh was this: " lack of Due Process in the award of Contract"

What the Media painted was this " Etteh Stole N628Million"

First of all we Should know that the only money given for that contract was the N50million take off grant. So the house could have revoked the contract if they found out it was inflated.
So there was no legality, for the media to keep addressing her as a theif , when the N628milion is in safe custody of the Federal government. The impression they gave the public was totally wrong and unacceptable if we are to be honest with ourselves.
People like Balogun , Alams and co were called theives because they actually,illegally withdrew money that was meant for the public and converted it for there personal use.

I am not in Support of Etteh, but the media should have represented the crime the way it was.
Okadigbo was not painted that way (thief) by the media,even though it was the same offence. Well, he smart to resign early.

Secondly, if "due process" was crime, why is that those clamouring for removal didn't want to follow "Due process". That us shows us that something is wrong somewhere. The house itself needs to be sanitize.

See between the lines, Is not just about Ettehgate, it is more than that.

There are  lot  of contracts in this country which were actually inflated and did not follow due process. Check it out, in every government ministry, there is one or two like that.

My point is this;Nigeria has suffered setbacks due to personal sentiments and tribalism.This has to be corrected at all levels. We should say things and do things the way they ought to be.Not only when they favour us. The Media Should learn to present things as they are, not just because they want to make money but because they want to get people rightly informed.

we have to understand the politics that went on in Rivers state.

Romiti Ameachi, was Odilli's right man. Infact Odilli brought out Ameachi as his own successor.Odilli is an Ndoni man not Ikwere. The problem started When Obj went to commission The so called N60billion gas turbine in the state.He discovered that, there was a conspiracy with Ameachi(then speaker) in inflating the actual cost of the project the project, so EFCC was invited. If you could remember, immediately Obj left Rivers state EFCC came and stated interrogating some principal Officers in the state, which Ameachi is Among.

Because of the fear then that anybody indicted by EFCC will not be fit to contest, PDP or Obj decided to Remove Ameachis Name(as adviced by INEC).And I think that was Right( my own opinion oo!). It wasnt only Ameachi that was affected by that kind of decision, even Dalanladi Baido of Taraba state was also affected.(him too would have been smiling today if he took his case to court, but he is now the SSG in Taraba state).

This allegations also affected Odillis presidential ambition. Odilli strongly Opposed PDP decision in that matter, cos he still wanted his right man to suceed him. When all his effort failed, he decided that nobody among the present PDP contestant should replace Ameachi. He decided to bring out Omehia his special adviser who is Ameachi's cousin to replace him.
PDP in Rivers state was among the last states to submit the name of their canditate to INEC.Ameachi felt cheated he took the case to court and the rest is history.

The bottomline is this, Ameachi has won the case today, but he is still being investigated by EFCC. He also has a case With AC at the tribunal. So whether he is the governor Today, the last has not been heard of his cases. Immunity or no immutity he, now or four years to come Justice against corruption must previal. I am not accusing him, and neither am i congratulating him now, but i am still waiting till he finishes with all the cases before him. I wish him all the best and good governance.

To Omehia; I dont think you were meant to be there.So thank God For the sucessful 5 months in office.

To Supreme court: Not all your judgement are supreme.Infact I dont undersand this one, because whether you like it or not , some members of the electorate voted for omehia not PDP. And some people might have changed their mind on the party if they discovered that Ameachi was PDP'candididate. What You should have done was to order a fresh poll, with Ameachi as the flag bearer of PDP.Period.
Almighty Supreme court, please tender justice with mercy ko.

So they simply say Ubangiji Allah
Even in hausa bible, God is refered to as Allah not just Ubangiji!

Allah is the name of God For Arabs.
And rememember to be an arab doesn't mean you are a moslem
So even Christian Arabs call God, Allah!

I wont say Maersk Doesn't recruit, but the fact remains that majoity of the people that pass there test are not called for the final stage of the interview. I am one of them.We passed their test together with some maritime academy students, while I was doing My National service. Thats over a year plus ,to be precised November 2005.We were 41 in Number.I have the letter with me. It was exactly one year after i.e. November 2006, they called first eleven for their interview . Non of them as i know was appointed.They havent called any batch among us since then. Maybe till november again.My name falls around thirty something. Maybe if i follow there own schedule, it should be november 2008 or 2009.i dnt pray 4 dat sha.

well each company has its own policy, but i dont believe that one is good enough. You don't invite person for a test, after spending much money, time and energy and you keep him waiting for so long without telling him anything, and you say they should not come to your office or call for any enquiry. Thats bad

Anyway i gat to move on. I got a place that i am working with for now.Even though AP moller(Mearsk) seems better, it doesn,t matter, exprience is not lost. I will still like to work with them if they are ready.

Let there be change in their attitude, as everybody is complaining.Its not good for their brand.
