And in your wisdom you think that a PDP flagbearer will not loot? I wonder for you o!

No matter how corrupt the senate is for as long as our democracy is concerned and practiced any employee of the government is answerable to them at any point they are being called upon. I'm awed in disbelief that you are actually in support of his disrespect this man is showing to the senate. Anyways Nigeria is now a laughing stock that anyone in government can disrespect Laws and orders.
Laws and order? Did you type that in error? There is nothing like that in Nigeria. Do you know the budget of the Senate, your so called representative in a democracy? How many we go talk self, abeggi.

If we both sit under a professional room, will you look me into the face while I'm having this discussion with you and tell me I'm silly? So if the Nigerian police has so much degenerated to the level it is today does that mean you as a civilized person should go around breaking laws? Do you even know the implication of all these at the international level? So because I voiced my opinion, I've become your younger brother or sister you called SILLY?
Silly is not restricted to an age grade and besides you don't know my age. The ONLY reason people listen to the Nigerian police is because they have guns, thats all. Guns are the only things keeping the over 90% angry and disgruntled Nigerians in check today. Really no difference between the government agencies of force, arm robbers and kidnappers today, they cant get anybody to do shit unless they flash a gun. Thats not legitimacy!

...... And why cant the government appointee obey a simple order given to him by the representative of people he is supposed to be serving?... What kind of witch hang is that, is he above the senate? Is it not the senate that approved his nominatiom for the job?... I see no witchunt, I only see arrogance and insensitivity on the part of the Ali guy
Maybe the Senate represents only your family and lineage, cause they don't represent me or anyone I know.

In as much as I respect Buhari and this administration, if this man goes away with this act, then I loose all the respect I have for them. How could a whole senate ask you to do something and you decide not to because you have the backing of the president? Why can't he wear the uniform of the sector he's heading? And during APC campaigns, he could wear APC uniforms and attires?
You are a silly and pathetic thing. Excuse me, did you say a whole Senate? Like the worse thing to happen to Nigeria? Gosh...its really unfortunate that losts of people at the receiving end of the actions of this self serving thieves thinks like this. Very unfortunate!

The only thing I've been able to deduce from our discussions so far is that you approve of the illegitimacy and you crave the anarchy that would follow it soon.

But then again, this has always been the case in Nigeria since day 1, you're probably just noticing it now because you only just started paying attention to it.
What do I say to you, how do I make you understand? Look up the word legitimacy please, it is first given in trust by the people to a few to represent their interest, if this trust gets repeatedly and repeatedly abused this trust dies. So its not what you can wish to be or wish away, it has to do with what is on ground. If people are calling for the scrap of the Senate then you should have no problem getting my point. My wishes dont matter...they are just wishes, what matters is what you have on ground. When people are working solely for their own interest it doesnt matter what principle says (that they are senators) nobody gives a hoot if they get disobeyed by another of their kind working for himself or if they get both blown up.

And it has not always been like this in Nigeria..at the nascent period the government had the support and trust of the people till they raped it non stop.

The senate consists of representatives of each states, to ignore the Senate means disrespecting the entire nation. Just so he is made aware, we pay him to serve there in the customs and that makes him our servant. Who does he have think he is? to disregard an entire nation. The senate must implement discipline by demanding his urgent removal from office. Let's all stand up to this, by demanding his resignation.
WRONG! The Senate DOES NOT represent the people of Nigeria, they represent themselves. Unless you think they represent you...of which you must have your reasons, but I know that over 90% of Nigerians want the Senate scrapped because it is working against the peoples interest.

Then to prove his doggedness by should disrespect laws and orders with such effrontery and arrogancy. I think he's done this twice already this should be condemned really! He can't continue disrespecting te Nigerian senate in that manner.. Talking about how corrupt the career customs officers are it's really not a nice thing to say because those corrupt officers are still in the customs today hence our customs is still corrupt.
The senate has lost legitimacy. They do not work for the people, infact they work against the people and should they all drop dead this minute Nigerians would roll out drums in celebration. Since legitimacy is their source of power and they are grossly lacking in this any powerful man like Col Ali, whose father is "Abraham" can defile them and nothing would happen.

An upright man should disregard the call by the country's National Assembly?.... Is that what you call wisdom or uprightness?... Are you mistaking irresponsibility for uprightness?... Whatever happened to the man going there to respond to their queries 'uprightly'?...

I remember the same NASS summoning the then CBN governor Sanusi on several occasions to come make explanations for some of his controversial policies and also for his vituperations against the same NASS when he accused them of swallowing 25% of the nation's budget. Guess what Sanusi did?... He honoured the invitation, got there, explained himself, schooled the rogues, shut them all up with facts and figures and he walked away an upright who respects the laws of the land and recognises the constituted authority of the NASS. That is the difference between an upright man and just a stubborn man who blatantly disregards for constituted authority.
Thats how it starts....loss of legitimacy. The entire shity arrangement called Nigeria is lossing legitimacy, people dont listen to government directives again and only comply when force is applied, just wait you will soon acknowledge that this is just the beginning.

I would suppose that your idea of standing for something is to disregard an invitation by the Senate of the country right?.... Can you please enlighten me on what exactly I would be standing for by doing that?
An upright man or put this way cause no man is totally upright. A relatively upright man should be very angry when a house full of rogues dictates to him with the end result of achieving a selfish objective. If I have the privilege and power/connections that the Customs boss wields today, I take my dog personnally to the park to play before I honour an invite from the today Nigerian senate.

To start with he's not even a career customs officer and he's arrogant with the job. That's a slap on career customs officers before him. He needs to tell Nigerians what his customs boys aren't planning to do with the gallon of oils and bags of rice they stole at nights at people's shop in ogun state. He needs to give a report on suitation of things. These goods will be sent to the IDPs in the north..
The problem is that like me he doesnt trust the senate. And he is not like the Legion of carreer customs officers who are deeply corrupt. Its like corruption is part of the indoctrination for career customs officers. This man knows how dirty, thievery and petty this guys are, he knows they are powerful but so is he too. He would not take shit from fat clowns that leave off his revenues. I would act same if in his shoes!

Does he gamble or uses drugs? Its either he is not feeling you or he has a problem. If he kisses you in the mouth when you are together then chances are that he likes you but has some personal problem, hence his erratic behaviour.
Its not easy to tell girls that I don't dig them (in my personal experience and it happens often with me) I just try to avoid communications with them...but I act nice when they catch me in a tight corner. But I tell you one thing, I would Never kiss a girl I dont dig. So it may be the sign that you should look for.

Silence kills a relationship faster than most things. No matter how busy you are, you'd always find time to reach out to someone you supposedly love.

I dated a banker once and they were prohibited from using cell phones during work hours which is a lot of hours. But, he still found time to talk to me, during his lunch time, when he uses the toilet, he shoots me a text or something.

What would have made more sense is if someone says that they are not in the right frame of mind to communicate, that, I understand.

Give it a little more time and try to relax okay?
Good advice.

They spent 90mins (complete football time) at the border station just because it was there first time. I think the message is clear, they dont want people at the moment.

When I say we practice reactive diplomacy, some people will come here and call me out. Abike Dabiri's utterances during the SA xenophobia and the US travel advise make me wonder what she learnt after all her years in public service with the NTA.
Have you been to the states before or attempted in recent time? Well I have, and Abike dabiri is spot on. The counter claim by the minister maybe because he feels that his power was upsurged by an SA, but I tell you Abike is 100% correct. All the Americans care about is your application fee. He who has money to waste should try.

But of course they'd say that so people don't stop paying the N54,400 visa fee.

I was at the US embassy on Monday and was rejected visa for the very first time. Their reason: I don't have a very 'strong tie' to show that I'd come back to Nigeria. Meanwhile I've been to the US 14 times, and came back 14 times!!

Nigeria may not be among the 6 countries with an obvious travel ban, but trust me the new executive order has Nigeria on their watchlist too
People should listen to Abike Dabiri's advice, this people are just taking money from people in the name of application fee and turning them down. Getting into the states now is an annoying and uphill task...they turn loads of people back at the border even after the visa was issued. I saw a handful of people with valid visa crying at the entry point in atlanta recently because they were detained, their visas revoked and they were to be deported. People should avoid usa now unless for very very important reason.if you have money to waste however, go ahead!

I have a slight problem with this story.

That you didn't indicate any signal in this article that you have done anything to identify the mastermind of the transaction is worrying.

Someone transferred money from you account to another account. You should be very interested in arrresting the mastermind as you have successfully blocked the funds. But you didn't state that. Except maybe the mastermind is known to you.
"Wise one" what is more important getting his money back first or catching the beneficiary? #Priorities!

The South African government is a big disgrace not just to Africans but also to humanity... No matter the reason given , the police under no circumstances should never abandon any group of vulnerable people.. To think that this has happened many times in the past and has led to the killing of many people , including Nigerians, Zimbabweans, Mozambicans etc.., only shows how haplessly stuupid the phony government in Pretoria is..
Oga lets hear word, can your country protect you in your country? Is it not worse in Nigeria were an institution (not a disgruntled mob like in SA) kill hundreds of indigenes for blocking road. Lets hear word jare.

is that the reason why they should kill them? why cant they deport them back home with their life intact...if you are a Nigerian..then you are the typical selfish lot that would wouldnt even flinch when his fellow citizens are being killed in other countries as long as he is not affected.if our government is bad, does that give them the right to take their life? how many times have we haunted down Chadians , Malians and people from Niger that have been committing havoc in Nigeria..but they are still among the Okada rider, and traders we see every day on our street. How can you justify the killing of innocent Nigerians in SA because our government is bad?. S.Africans are barbarians and savages at heart..and so is any one supporting these evil act...don't worry i pray you don't loose any love one to these xenophobic activities by these savages, then you will know what the families of the deceased are going through.your statement is provocative and insensitive.
I believe I wrote in English, I had to crosscheck on reading your outburst. I did not see a post of MPSA that supports the killings neither did my post support the act..I wonder at the way you interpret things.
SA people could be wicked at heart or Lucifer...it doesnt really bother me, are people in Nigeria any better? How many homicide cases do we have so far in this year alone? I just listen to Abike dabiri with her gibberish and ultimatums and I shake my head. How many people (Nigerians) did the army kill in recent times? Shior!
point is that we have to create a place that we can call home, treat our people right. If outsiders dont want you/are killing you, dont wait to be deported before you leave. The government and the people are different entities...while the government may not want to deport Nigerians because of the reprisal effect that it would result to, the masses(SA) do not care and would go to any length to chase foreigners out.
The underlying issue or root cause of the problem is always ignored chasing symptoms and quick fix, this problem will keep reoccuring till Nigeria begins to keep its house in order.

MPSA is been very reasonable to a large extent, why are Nigerians rushing to SA enmass? Irrespective of the nuisances (xenophobic attack/drug dealers) why
Can't we tackle our government back home to create opportunities for us? To me thats the root.
