PoliticsBreaking ; IPOB Declares Support For Buhari's Second Term Bid. by planetzoom(op):
BREAKING: IPOB Declares Support For President Buhari’s 2019 Bid (DETAILS)

IPOB has declared its support for the second term ambition of President Muhammadu Buhari.

In a statement signed by its national co-ordinator, Sunday Egejuru, the Igbo political bridge group endorsed President Buhari, adding that he was not an enemy of Nigeria.

The statement read;
”The Igbo Political Bridge IPOB hereby declare that it supports the re-election of President Mohammadu Buhari in 2019.
Our support is predicated on the fact that he would serve for only four years and power will move to the South East in 2023.
President Buhari is not an enemy of Ndigbo as some Igbos claim .

In 2003 , he picked Senator Chuba Okadigbo as his running mate and in 2007 , he chose Chief Edwin Umezuoke as his running mate. Could a man that hate Igbos do that. It was when he realized in 2015 that Igbos stuck to Ex President Goodluck Jonathan that he went to the South West to pick a deputy.
Buhari may be rigid and meticulous but he does not hate the Igbos.

He may have participated in the civil war, but some Igbos also fought on Nigeria side during the war and are today representing Igbos in some national outings.
IPOB therefore call on Ndigbo to vote massively for President Buhari in 2019. Its the shortest route to Igbo Presidency.”

Christianity Etc''bonafide Children Of The Kingdom Dont Argue About Tithe'' - Mike Bamiloye by planetzoom(op): 9:34am On Apr 19, 2018
TWO SUNDAYS AGO IN YOLA.
I was in a Church on Upper Sunday in Yola, Adamawa State. I was extremely fascinated at their electrifying Praises and Worship. In the North? The whole church was packed full to the galleries. And when it was announced that all those who wanted to give their Tithes should come out to the Altar, my wife and I were seriously amazed at the rate a large number of people trooper out dancing to Praises. We were astonished at the joy on every face. No one forced anyone. They danced to the Altar to drop their Tithe Envelopes.

I DO NOT THINK THE BONA-FIDE CHILDREN OF THE KINGDOM WOULD ARGUE ABOUT GIVING 10% OF THEIR INCOME TO THEIR FATHER.
This made me WONDER if those waging wars against THIS are actually winning any war.

At times, I laugh. Does anyone think the Works of God can be stopped by the Refusal of some people to pay TITHES?
It is lack of Understanding of the Power of the Provisions of God.
To clear the Air, I am a Drama Evangelist, not a Pastor. So I don't have a church I pastor. So I don't have Congregations that give me Tithes.
But I am a Living Witness of the Spiritual Benefits of giving to God out of your Substances.
It will be always be to your Spiritual and Physical advantages.

I HAVE SEEN THAT IF YOU HONOUR GOD WITH YOUR SUBSTANCES, HE OPENS THE WINDOWS OF HEAVEN FOR YOU AND POURS ON YOU HIS BLESSINGS.
I am writing all these to help some people out there. (Mike Bamiloye)

Ekiti 2018: APC’ll Use Federal, State, Local Powers To Defeat Fayose, Fayemi Boasts

The Minister of Mines and Steel Development, Kayode Fayemi , has boasted that the All Progressives Congress(APC) will deploy all the governmental advantages it has to wrest power in Ekiti from the Peoples Democratic Party come July 2018
He also threatened that once the PDP was roundly defeated, the governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose, would be prosecuted for mismanaging the economy of the state.

Mr. Fayemi, a former governor of the state, spoke on Saturday at a rally in Ado Ekiti, where he declared his ambition to seek the APC ticket for the July 14 governorship election.

He however assured that whoever emerged from the party’s primaries would be supported by other aspirants to ensure victory at the polls.

Mr. Fayemi is the 37th aspirant seeking the APC governorship ticket.

He was governor between October 16, 2010 and October 15, 2014, after he was defeated by Mr. Fayose at the polls.

“They said the June 21, 2014 governorship poll was free, fair and credible, so that of July 14, 2018 too will be free, fair and transparent,” Mr. Fayemi said.

“They will accuse us of so many things. They will accuse us of using federal might, but we will not care.

“We will use local, state and federal powers to take over Ekiti from a rapacious and government being run by a brigand in Ekiti.”

The rally, which was well attended by party supporters, created a traffic snarl that left motorists stranded for several hours.

The minister who used the declaration to highlight his achievements during his tenure as governor, said he would want to bring back the “good days” and ensure the state was rescued from the “misrule” the current government had brought the state to.

He however stressed the need for members of the APC to be united during and after the primaries.

“Let me say this, I am a loyal party man and I am ready to support whoever the party fields as the candidate,” he assured.

“Yes, I am holding an important position in this government through the grace of God and by the magnanimity of our leader, President Muhammadu Buhari, and I am satisfied with it if politics that I play is for me and my family alone.

“But there is an unfinished business in our State. We have to complete and bring back those projects we initiated when we were in the saddle.

“Again, politics to me, is not about title but about service and sacrifice”.

On the rising acrimony among the APC aspirants, the Mr. Fayemi urged the
State Working Committee to set out a code of ethics to regulate the conducts of every contestant, describing the tirades against his
person as unacceptable.

“It is absolutely unacceptable for aspirants to indulge in abuses, use intemperate languages against one another. If we do this, we will be damaging the brand the APC is known for,” he said.

“Each contestant should sell his brand to the party delegates who will decide our fates.

“We should be ready to support whoever the party picks as the candidate, provided the process is free, fair and transparent if truly we are loyal party men. I will see whoever fights after the primary as a mole who was sent to destroy our party.”

The APC acting chairman, Kemi Olaleye, said the party would do its best to be transparent in the primary.

“We are in a sensitive time and we need ourselves. No one can win
election alone, so I beg of you to not use your writeups on our platforms to destroy our party,” she said.

“Let us be united and know that we have only one enemy, which is Fayose for us to be able to win.

“Our minister has been supportive of the party. We are proud of him for using his Ministerial position to help Ekiti and APC members.”

HigherEd:
I understand that 25,000 naira per term as school fees is grossly inadequate to run a university - I mean it is completely nothing sef. N25,000 is just $100 which is just about the cost of application to a foreign university. But we must be careful of creating a situation where only the rich or middle-class can gain access to quality education. Maybe we should leave the attainment of world class status to private universities who can afford to raise fees and get massive endowments from their proprietors.

However what I won't accept is Nigerians coming again to balme any state govt for poor quality of university education when such school collects less than 100,000/session. Let us accept our fate - Nigerian public universities may never be great if they continue to take such low fees.

Another angle is this, States should not be investing solely in university education. They should adopt private universities like the US fed govt does. And pay for their indigenes per person than run a full university for free, which is.
Lagos state university pays 25000 as s hook fees since 2015 ,and the school is progressing building infrastructures and is now ranked the best state university in Nigeria, better than most federal universities .Its all about priority and focus, why oppress the poor because you want to raise the standard of education.
