Elle peut être utilisée avant un verbe à l'infinitif en lieu et place de l'utilisation d'un nom. (on dit qu'il a un rôle explitif)

"du": est la contraction de 'de le', tout comme des est la contraction de 'de les'. il précéde les mots masculins ('l'appel du vide' et non 'l'appel de le vide').
il y a aussi d' qui précéde les mots commençant par une voyelle ou un h muet (l'arrivée d'eau - la voiture d'Hector)
pour résumer
'de le' devient "d' " devant les mots commençant par une voyelle ou un h muet et il devient "du" devant les mots masculins (qui ne commencent pas par une voyelle ou un h muet). Pour les mots féminin on utilise de la (la voiture de la voisine). Au pluriel, "de les" devient "des" très bien, merci beaucoup! |
