Kobojunkie: Abeg!! If na ADHD, go find someone else to follow you on that coaster discussion you dey try there. I responded to a post on raising children the "Nigerian way", trying to get the @Poster to see how the example youths raised that way are in the majority unable to move their own lives and country forward still.

You asked me why they should make any attempts to clean up the mess, and I responded. If you are UNABLE to follow your own discussion, please go find someone else to disturb.

Seriously, Tracy, you're a piece of work.

You've not been able to support your blind assertion that the current state of things is due to youths' upbringing so I'm not sure what all the yapping is about.

BTW, Just how many ADHD people do find engaging 'coaster discussions'?

Anyway I'm off to BF, we'll continue later. . .

Kobojunkie: Oh wait . . . I forgot!! The current stock of youths have to be the exact ones that defecated in the yard, for them to know that the yard needs to be cleaned out the yard so THEY can have the change they want and for their own good. My bad!! lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed

Yes, if you move into a house and the house is dirty, because you didn't dirty it up, it is not your place to clean the house out, abi?? undecided undecided undecided

Like I said . . .
We are not talking about whose duty is to fix the rot which is not the fault of the youths in the first place. Your earlier claim was that the current rot in the country was due to youths raised in a supposedly more morally strict society. I insist that is not true.

Kobojunkie: Wonderful . . . the over 70 million youths currently in and raised in Nigeria, who so far, have that country operating the way it currently does, are, I am guessing, your example for why it is better to raise your child the Nigerian way, righthuh undecided undecided undecided undecided undecided Yes, the Nigerian youths, raised the Nigerian way, many of them with no way of telling their left from their right, and with no idea that they are the one's to make the change they need happen, are the excellent reasons for why those Abroad need to raise their kids the "Nigerian" way(heritage, morals and all).
Your point?

Are those youths responsible for the current rot in the country? undecided undecided undecided

charlatans were beginning to exploit the situation. So I believe it's timely.
PoliticsRe: Sign Petition To Invite GEJ To Hardtalk by plendil: 11:09am On Nov 23, 2012
^^^nothing neocolonialist about it. Quite being silly. Hardtalk has a reputation of interviewing some throwing some questions that has even the most experienced politicians squirming on their seats. Our dear GEJ known for his patented elocutionary deficiencies wouldn't stand a chance. He would be ripped to shreds.
PoliticsRe: Religious Violence Erupts In Bichi, Kano by plendil: 10:16pm On Nov 22, 2012
I ask again, what exactly is blasphemous in what the Igbo man purported said?
PoliticsRe: Religious Violence Erupts In Bichi, Kano by plendil: 7:19pm On Nov 22, 2012
ndu_chucks: This is an unfortunate case of gross misunderstanding. The word in Red "Annabi" is the culprit. You see Na Annabi could be a person's name, and we are told in the article that the phrase in question is the name of a popular outfit.

On the other hand, in the religious context when you say ‘Salli ala al Nabi’ you could be praising the prophet, imploring him so that he may intercede on your behalf on judgment day, or if your pronounciation is off, you could be perceived as blaspheming the prophet and his message. Al Nabi sounds very much like Annabi, hence the source of misunderstanding.

When you add the misunderstanding to unaddressed sour relationships and gross incompetence by government agents, what you end up with is senseless religious violence.
Interesting. But even we assume the guy's statement was misinterpreted as 'the prophet has come to the market', how exactly is that blasphemy?

Christianity EtcRe: Is It Unholy To Be Intimate On Sunday Morning Before Going To Church? by plendil: 9:00pm On Nov 18, 2012
its common practice for coupples to have thier bath after sexx, so I don't know what the fuss is about.

Sexx before going to church, after bathing, especially if its a morning service? Nothing might be wrong biblically, but it seems a misplacement of priority to me.
