ukay2: Who are those saying that NTB returns are better than real estate investment
How market...
PMB is saying you should take your money to do real business... Am not interested in borrowing your money...
If you force PMB to borrow your money, you will give him at 3%(90days)or 5%(@365 days)
Nawaooo for this PMB govt...guys are not smilling when did he say that? According to the budget, about NGN1T will come from domestic borrowing. And just how will they get the money if not increasing the TB rate? Is he going to point a gun at our heads and force us to lend? |

PErhaps by international standards, but certainly not by ours. IF I should post some pictures of the hospitals here in Ebonyi, many of you will weep. |
Politics › Re: Obasanjo’s Book "My Watch" About Atiku by plendil: 11:12am On Dec 27, 2015 |
Funny how he conveniently left out this third term agenda, which according to Atiku, in an interview he gave channels some years back, was the genesis of the rift between them.
Not really surprised, anyway. If you've read his previous books, especially "not by my will", which detailed his memoirs as military ruler, you appreciate OBJ's penchant for painting himself as the best thing to have ever happened to Nigeria after the discovery of oil. |

Well at the risk of generalizing, there's quite some truth in what she observed. However, if the boys are bad, the girls are simply TERRIBLE!!
My work takes me to many parts of the country, but nowhere have I encountered a group as inordinately proud, insufferably loud-mouthed and unpardonably abrasive as them, especially the ladies.
There are of course good ones, but in the monirity. |

Romance › Re: Why Condom does not guaranty HIV prevention. by plendil: 8:49am On Dec 26, 2015 |
Toks2008: I know this topic will shock many people who believe in the propaganda that the use of condom is a formidable prevention against HIV but unfortunately, using a condom does not prevent you from contracting HIV but only reduces the chance of contracting it. The bolded doesn't make sense. If a HIV positive person has sex with a negative person, and the condom prevents the fliud from the infected partner reaching the other one, isnt that prevention? ie Condom has prevented the transmission of the virus. There are numerous studies to show this BTW. Condoms are effective if used properly, but of course the best remains abstinence and mutual fidelity. The bottom line is that no one is really safe and we all stand the risk of contracting it as the Virus has a transient period between when it is contracted and when it can be detected in the blood so you may meet someone who is tested negative today and later may test positive.
GOD HELP US. This sums it up. |

Politics › Re: Nairaland Says No To Secessionists by plendil: 2:18pm On Dec 10, 2015 |
Seun: Fellow Nairalanders,
Nairaland loves Igbos and Niger Deltans very much. The thought of being separated from them for any reason is unbearable to us, so we have decided that we will reject any attempt by anyone to use Nairaland to promote the idea of removing Igbos and Niger Deltans from Nigeria.
We have updated rule 9 of Nairaland to reflect this decision. It now says:
I'd like to urge all Nairaland members to respect and obey rule 9. Mynd44 is in charge of enforcing it. If you break this rule, you'll be banned.
Thanks, Seun (Founder Of Nairaland). It about time!!! Good move. |

The only people I believe have a valid claim to being marginalized are the ethnic minorities of the oil-producing zones. Indeed, they have suffered untold hardship with the plundering of their resources but nothing to show for it.
Any other tribe is just being mischievous. |

That u were made mod does not give u the right to assert my submission is falsehood. If u must be an apc mod, come out open. U can press the ban button, I'm used to Ur ban.
What on earth made a president of a polarised country make such silly statement if he wasn't nursing an evil agenda against certain people. U beat me and expect me not to cry. The only time SE ppl felt a sense of belonging in this country was under GEJ, the only international airport in that region got a facelift and made operational, the niger bridge GEJ awarded was cancelled by buhari immediately he got in. What are u telling me? Complete FALSEHOOD!! Which Enugu international airport made operational? http://dailypost.ng/2015/07/12/akanu-ibiam-airports-international-terminal-will-be-ready-in-eight-months-faan/BTW how many people will an international airport serve? Secondly the bridge wasn't "cancelled immediately" he got in. He merely asked for review of the terms of the contract, and this happened almost three months into his tenure.Meanwhile your 'darling GEJ' didn't think Enugu-Onitsha expressway, arguable one of the busiest in the SE, would merit a comprehensive overhaul? He didn't think the same regarding the Aba-PH expressway? Meanwhile your thieving elite (govenors, senators, reps), all of Igbo extraction keep enriching themselves, but it seems all too convenient to heap all the blame on the 'Fulani president' who came into power a fewer months ago.
