A Husband is on the run after allegedly hacking his wife to death.

The 23-year-old mother-of-two Mercy Samuel was attacked on Sunday night, April 17, leaving her with her abdomen ripped open and her intestine cut.

Her husband, Samuel Mathew, who lived with her along Vom road in Jos South local government area of Plateau State when the incident happened, allegedly took her phone and absconded after the attack.

Mercy was found at home on Monday morning and rushed to the Bingham University Teaching Hospital, Jos, but she died on Wednesday, April 20.

According to Jummai Madaki, the State Project Officer, Women’s Right Advancement and Protection Alternative, WRAPA, Mercy had been a victim of domestic violence for a while and the group was trying to get support for her before she was killed.

Following her death, Jummai asked the public to call for justice on her behalf.

Jummai said: "There had been some violence against her in the past as confirmed by her family but the husband’s family denied any violence. The man ripped open her tummy, remove her intestine and cut it before he disappeared with her phone so she could not call for help.

"They live in a small apartment so I wonder why no one heard her scream, we were told help did not come until the early hours of Monday when she was rushed to the hospital and placed on oxygen. An informant called my attention to the incident and we raise an alarm. Surprisingly, the matter was not reported to the police. We were told by her parents that even as recent as last year, she was home due to some issues but the husband’s people came to beg and she went back."

The Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Rebecca Sambo, who visited the family of the deceased in Gyel, Jos South, expressed sadness over the incident and assured the family that the matter would not be swept under the carpet,.

She said: "The police have been informed and action has commenced ensuring the young girl gets justice."

Rebecca advised women who suffer domestic violence to speak out once they sense any danger in their marriages and not wait until they are killed.

Men are victims of domestic abuse too.As a man,if you cannot bear her abusive ways anymore,I think the best thing is to walk away or end the relationship.If you don't end the relationship, you might be tempted to hit her one day. That's why it is always good to seek for God's guidance before going into any form of relationship.

Imagine, she was expecting the man to change from being abusive,for the records abusers rarely change.She should have left the marriage.

That's private Schools for,they do this to stay in business. As a parent when you see this of results, you would want to pay more School fees for your kid,thinking that he or she is doing very well.Dont be surprised over 80-90% of the pupils will be awarded this kund of result in the entire school.

What I see is that once you pay them before your due date, they have no problem with you. I do not support their breach of users privacy though.

I hope folks understand that in the next few months, people will feel the absence of these loan platforms. The quick money to solve issue will not be there. Nigerians will only get acess to loans from conventional banks and that is almost impossible unless you have good credit rating.
The only other option will be family and friends. I assure you no friend is willing to help anyone in these trying buhari times. Default rate is high so quarell btw friends is not needed.
