~Sauron~: Thatz ma own argument too but some people here are ready to shoot all smokers(passive included).
Smoking is different from chain-smoking. There are seasonal smokers. They only do it during the cold winter time.
Story!!!!
Same as sweets, bubble gums and chocolates!!!! they smoke in winter to keep warm abeg what are blankets and women for? |

~Sauron~: Condemning smoking is like condemning people who over-eat!! Too much of everything is bad, i agree. However, too much food also would cause overweight, obesity, cholesterol levels going mad and death(eventually)!!! My argument hasn't changed I don't care what they do if it didn't affect me. That is my point |

~Sauron~: Bloody Liar!!!
Ya last boy/f in the UK was a chain smoker. The excuse u gave then was u would change him. . . . Did you??
Smoking is bad but alcohol kills more than smoking. If smokers want to smoke, let them smoke. Tolerance is the key here. Isn't he now her ex? there you go |

okija was asking if we would divorce a man if he started smoking It depends. Would I divorce him if he strted doing crack or other addictive behaviours maybe not right away but I'll know something is wrong since that was not the normal him. I would stand by him and seek help to break the habit and if he insists he'll be gone |

It's unbelievable. I remember male classmates just take off in the middle of lectures as though they saw ghosts and afterwards you'll see them smoking at the kiosks on campus. How can I marry a man that stinks and on top of that we could be doing the do and he just pulls out and jumps to the backyard to take a few puffs because "it's time" An unpredictable man? Tufiakwa! |

KarmaMod: Lmao don't know who these people think they are fooling.
Everyone knows Nigerians can be such wannabes. Most Nigerians that smoke in other countries do it to seem cool and "rebellious". as in "I'm so cooler than you guys that were told this and that" blah blah.
All that 'calm my nerves" and other nonsense is just cover up for how fake they are.
especially those bloody Nigerian Brits. calm which nerves. we don't have nerves in Nigeria we are built strong. if we had nerves, lack of nepa, water and plenty armed robbers would have killed everyone. we're still doing owanbes and naming ceremonies and people are talking of nerves. for where? |

~Sauron~: Alcoholism = drinking alcohol. One would easily lead to the other. U cannot be an alcoholic without taking alcohol.
It's the same thing. 4 pints alcohol is enough to impair one's judgement when driving. Do you know how many people that have died as a result of DUI? First off I don't drink I sought a man that doesn't drink I got one. My standards are high But I know that one glass of wine every now and then will not kill. |

KarmaMod: Yes I am. What's the difference between inhaling smoke and sniffing coke? Really what is the difference? The human body sees both are UNWANTED foreign things circulating in the blood. Both also lead to addictions.
So yea unlike your poor comparison before, mine makes sense. No difference whatsoever. They both die slowly and deny they have any problems. The coke snorter at least kills himself but the smoker is also trying to kill me |

Okija_juju: So what would you consider an acceptable sacrifice?? A wife beater for a Smoker?? Or what??
Smoking is not as big a deal as most of you are making it out to be. Somke drink coffee, some smoke. Neither. A wife beater will kill me,a smoker will kill himself and kill me Both spell death. |

ibkaye: Imagine, people are comapring death by smoking to death by car accident, smoking is your own choice, you know what is going to happen to you yet a lot of people still continue, you do not choose to get hit my a mad driver (unless ur head don scatter well), but normal sane people don't, what a comparison Exactly. statistics tell us that kids who smoke are more likely to indulge in many other addictive and destructive behaviours like drugging, alcoholism. |

Bad habits like smoking tells a lot about a man or woman. Someone that would knowingly endanger their life has serious issues. They cannot control their urges. I betcha they are also lacking in many areas of life where discipline is required. I wouldn't marry such a one |

I hate smokers period. I want them banished from my city. The restaurants don chase them comot. Our workplace has banned smoking within 100 metres of the campus so they now puff across the street in some remote corner and it's automatic firing if caught smoking within or around the hospital Airlines banished them since the nineties They should cuddle up amongst themselves and smoke themselves to death |
