Nigerians! Haba!
I'm sure if I start an anti-corruption crusade now, they will talk me down and accuse me of lacking the credibility to do so, just because 'I must have stolen pieces of ponmo/bonga fish from Mama's pot before', isn't it?

Why have these GEJ loyalists by their comments, decided to deliberately shun the cases brought up and decided to attack the person of Mr. Melaye instead. Are you saying his allegations are not genuine or he should simply pretend like those things he mentioned are non-existent and maintain the 'status quo'?
To these group of dubious Nigerians, I say your hypocrisy is damn disgusting!

Let me put this challenge before you:
Why do you still rely on the Police to come and help you combat crime in your neighbourhood, even when you have labelled the Police Force as a criminal one?

We're no kids here, take your deceit to the gutters!

BTW, note that Mr. Melaye didn't ask for your support, according to what we read in the Post; except you're now acting as a mouthpiece of the US.

It is really amazing but not surprising how delighted majority of the Christian Southerners are about the 'military invasion of the north' in the name of 'state of emergency'.
They say: 'kill them all', 'crush everything that is moving', 'spare no living thing, even animal and plants', 'I will readily join the military in the killing', 'destroy their land', 'send in drones to finish them all' e.t.c.
So the lives of the people of a certain region of a country aren't that relevant, even though they have contributed majority of the food that have kept us going till today, just because there are a few bad eggs amidst them? No thought for the innocent ones?

There are two things I have in mind, a wish & a fact:

>I hope Mr. GEJ will be 'concerned' enough to send in the military invade the South-East to deal with the incessant kidnapping cases there.

>These heartless 'Nigerians' will suffer the same punishment as the so-called 'BH' killers before God, since they all share a passion for killing.

Islam › Aisha (RA) Married The Prophet (PBUH) At Age Nine. So What? by pmc01(op): 12:05pm On May 16, 2013
For those who have little knowledge of history, a pagan had earlier sought the hand of Aisha in marriage before the Prophet (PBUH) was commanded by Allaah (God) through Angel Jubril to do likewise. It was only after the pagan discontinued his interest in the proposed marriage, for the fear of not been requested to become a Muslim that Abu Bakr (Aisha's father) agreed to give out Aisha (RA) in marriage to the Prophet (PBUH). (Please, refer to authentic Scholars of Sunnah for ref).

How then can you claim Aisha was too young to be married to the Prophet (PBUH)?

#Have you any sense at all?

In case you also don't know, a certain Catholic Gazette claims 'Virgin Mary was just twelve years old' when she married 90 year old Joseph, the carpenter. (Please, refer to Wikipedia for ref).
So, how does the figure(s) of a lady's age determine when she should be married or not?

#Surely, common sense is for a reserved few only (the true believers in the oneness of God).

Dear Brethen in faith, What is wrong with us?
We chat endlessly about anything & everything with our non-Muslim family, friends, associates, colleague & loved ones. We exchange priceless gifts with them. We share unforgettable happy moments with them.
Yet, we deprive them of the greatest gift of all- Islam! We never ever contemplate presenting it to or bringing it up with them.
Is that our own definition of love and care?
Have we forgotten that Allâh said:
"And whoever seeks a religion other than Islâm, it will never be accepted of him and in the Hereafter, he will be one of the losers." (Qur'an 3:85)?
Have we also forgotten how the Prophet of Allâh (PBUH) demonstrated his love for his beloved uncle, Abi Talib, by persistently persuading him to accept Islâm till the very end? Is the Prophet (PBUH) not our ideal Model? Why not take a cue from him.
We know you love him/her, so what are you waiting for?
Remember Death is certain, but no one knows when. Now is the proper time!
We ask Allâh for His guidance.
Islam › Words From Our Scholars (2) by pmc01(op): 9:53pm On May 11, 2013
"A Muslim youth who tries to be upright is looked down as an enemy of civilization and progress. Enemies of Islâm have chosen to adopt all possible tactics to either physically or psychologically exterminate Muslims who are conscious of their religion and are ready to practise it as dictated by the religion itself.
Their real problem being that Islâm is antithetical to the exploitative means by which they wish to capture and control the world. The tools commonly employed include calling Muslims any of the following offensive and derisive names: 'Muslims are primitive'; 'are not civilized'; 'are violent'; 'are retrogressive'; 'are terrorists'; 'are dirty'; 'are fundamentalists'; 'are poor and poverty-infectious'; 'are intellectually bankrupt'; 'are enemies of human progress & civilization'; e.t.c."

Islam › Words From Our Scholars by pmc01(op): 6:36pm On May 11, 2013
"Nonetheless, the religion of Islâm, which was given to Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessing of Allâh be upon him) is not a complicated or a difficult religion; neither is it an intolerable religion to mankind; nor is a part of it unbearable. Islâm is a burdenless and a straightforward religion- either in monotheism, laws principles and guidance. It is free from all complications, difficulties and contradictions. It is the religion for a vigorous mind and sound brain. Thus, the more common sense grows, the more such mind increases in convinction and confidence that Islâm is the true religion of Allâh, and hold fast to it."

-Extract from an article, 'Introduction to Islam', written by Doctur Sharafuddeen Gbadebo Raji (PhD, Islâmic Law & Comparative Jurisprudence, Islamic University, Madinah, Saudi Arabia) in the 8th edition of the Al-Fahm Magazine (a yearly publication of the MSSN LAUTECH for the advancement of an ideal understanding of Deenul Islâm).

May Allâh preserve our scholars on the righteous path of Islam & bless them, Amiin.

Subhanallaah!
What manner of craze won't one come across in this our part of the world?
An Imam, who is incidentally has also gone on Hajj forgoing Solah for the sake of Play Station games. He even 'plies his trade' in a public game centre. He is such a regular customer there, that some reports say he gambles there.
Before you start citing 'youthful exuberance' as an excuse for him, this Baba is old enough to be a grandpa. Sad again is that he used to be a well-known womanizer before his Hajj curbed that to a minimum for him.
The following issues then come to mind:

>Why hasn't he been relieved of his position, when there are more than capable youths who can do the job well? I have only seen him in the mosque about four or so times in two weeks. He resists adjusting the time of Solah as at when due.

>We have to be sincere about our Hajj to reap the spiritual benefits in it.

>Parents should learn to curb the addictions & bad habits of their children (like refusing to clean up after passing out urine) before it becomes irredeemable.
We ask for Allâh's help.

I make du'a for the unmarried brothers that may Allaah save us from having as spouse these category of women:
>A wife who does not deem it fit to freshen up herself for you personally, but always want to appear 'stunning & gorgeous' in the glare of strange men.

>Will always carry your children & nag you to attend all those baseless all-night assalatu 'prayers', but never makes it her priority to drive the Children to observe Solah or go to Madrasah.

>Will always make up excuses for your children when you scold them for not observing Solah.

>Will not restrict your children from aimless roaming about with peers of dubious character.

>Will teach your kids what lie to tell you when they inexplicably keep late nights.

>Will rather delay dinner to watch those evening cartoonish Mexican soap-operas on Galaxy TV (in Lagos).

>Whose Qur'an is MTV Base, her Fiqh E! Tv & her hadith Africa Magic.

>May Allaah purify the already married sisters from these traits.

>May Allaah not make us men who see those traits as normal.

Islam › Drawing Positives From Tonight's Newsline by pmc01(op): 10:24pm On May 05, 2013
In the midst of nonsense, you sometime pick some sense. Newsline has quite had some positives tonight:
>A certain blind 40-year old Ibrahim, who is a distinguished motor mechanic in Kano State & even has 16 apprentices under him. Can you beat that!

>A certain Ibo daughter of a Pastor in Niger State, who (by Allaah's grace) recently reverted to Islam & now uses below knee-length hijab. She had too take refuge in the Etse of Nupe's Palace, fearing her father's wrath. Quite not unexpected, the Pastor went to the Press to claim Aisha (his daughter's new name) had been kidnapped. Unfortunately, Newsline has come out to refute the unfounded claim. The matter is now in court. God help us.

>Two Nigerian Muslims, a man & an hajia own one of the biggest Techno-Pharmaceutical companies in the Americas. The company is in Canada & paid host to VP Namadi Sambo recently, who had one of the company's innovative hi-tech products named after him. The good news is that they still seem very mindful of their Islam. Lovely!
