lexy2014: can you pls show us where they promised phase1?
this phase1, what did it entail?
what will phase2 entail?
You never engage in constructive criticism so I will not respond to you..
It is no news that the promise right from when Timipre was petroleum minister (state) is that they will restore 60,000 bod first which is the old complex.
Even the contract agreement from the date FEC approved $1.5 bn says the rehab is in phases
lordkush: . Igbos live better than the Hausas and Yourubas. Doing yes sir like slave to someone isn’t life. Go out there and explore the world. The reason these men can succeed in Nigeria is because if the monopolistic style they operate thier buisness. No growth in wards. This is y mark Zuckerberg worth shit 10 yrs ago 10x richer than Dangote today. What was Dangote doing all these while ? But low life zombies are cheering
You can't accuse them of monopoly if low life people refused to complete ..
Some people on this forum are just daft..
28 Refinery license were given to different company...one person used his to build his own mega refinery..and you call it monopoly because others refused..
Someone like Ibeto has been importing cement and refused to build any one to develop his village ... A man decided to develop 4 cement plant in Nigeria and you accuse him of monopoly..did he tie the hands of Ibeto or Lafarge from expanding their operations?
Cool83: In a simple term, phase one that is complete will produce 60,000 barrel per day, while phase two which will be completed in 2024 will complement it with 150,000 barrel
Eriokanmi: So, is the first phase completed is going to refine petrol by December 2023 as you reassured Nigerians abi? You can only fool your gullible supporters cos that's not what you told us. You said the refinery would commence refining by December and December is ending in a few days, now, its another story of phases.
It is the first phase which is the old refinery which they claim to have mechanically completed..
Read the details carefully..what they have always promised is phase one rehab to be completed this month which they have fulfilled..phase two is going to be next year .if they keep to their words as well..
The refinery rehabilitation contract was awarded to be executed in phases.. Google is your friend
The Dangote Refinery is about to control the Nigerian Petroleum sector with its huge capacity. This raises concerns for Nigerians. Aliko Dangote is known for playing big in any of his business ventures. Having conquered the Cement and sugar business in Nigeria and was once the biggest supplier of flour in Nigeria. The world richest black man aims to continue this trend as he enters into the oil business with his mega refinery. This doesn’t sound too good as many believe that this will mean petroleum products pricing will be determined by one man.
As major refinery projects like the port harcourt refinery rehabilitation, BUA refinery, waltersmith refinery, Edo refinery and many. We explore how these refineries along with many others can prevent the monopoly potentials of Aliko Dangote's massive refinery in Ibeju Lekki.
This is an important video as it shows that there is no monopoly on the market for oil refineries and that there are plenty of projects in the pipeline that are ready to take on Dangote.
lol you are telling someone that has built a 650,000bpd refinery to go to hell because of a mere 60,000 bpd rusting plant that is partially back to life?
Ofunaofu: The major reason these folks mess up in office is because they have supporters like you that will always stick out their necks to defend them.
Cardoso wasn't appointed to blame, he is appointed to fix things. He should get to work and stop blaming everyone but himself
Toh...
So someone mismanaged an office for 10 years plus and here you have a new leader whom you expect to reverse everything instantly and return dollar rate to what it was 10 years ago
Tell me you are day dreaming
I am not saying he was appointed to blame anyone ... doing so has absolutely nothing to do with his CV as you ignorantly claim
Ofunaofu post=127503385: This is what you get when you appoint an individual with a patch patch CV as CBN governor
Instead of ensuring that Naira stops the free fall, he blames Emefiele who left office over six months ago
This is not always the case..
Hold such office doesn't give him a magic wand...
If his predecessors mismanaged that office...It can have a multiplier effect on the next leadership..they have right to tell the public their issues and who influenced it..and of course fix it ..but you should kniwbit is easier to destroy than to build Emifiele didn't do well..
LegendHero: I also support autonomy but I think the government need to be careful.
On book autonomy is good but I am scared all these corrupt VC of universities will make a mess of it and the only people that will take the fall will still be the same Tinubu FG.
That’s how policy makers have been shouting subsidy is a scam since 2000, we removed it now and they are still blaming Tinubu for fuel price.
Remove autonomy tomorrow and universities hike fees, then see how much curse same Tinubu will receive. Nigeria most times defy normal logic.
Nigerians are simply confused ...
You see that fellow saying school should be given autonomy..
Will he clap for schools when they increase their fee by 3x?
Finally...the days of "Dangote refinery to complete in 2 months" .."Dangote refinery misses deadline"...."I know someone working at the refinery..it willl finish in 2045" are over
After a series of delays, the Dangote Refinery, a mammoth $19 billion project in Nigeria, is finally poised to commence fuel production as the first crude shipment arrives at the facility, marking a significant milestone for the country’s oil industry.
An OTIS tanker, carrying a 950,000-barrel cargo of Nigeria’s Agbami crude, set sail on December 6 en route to Lekki in Lagos. The tanker ship will berth at the private jetty terminal owned by Aliko Dangote from which the crude will be pumped into the refinery. The tanker arrived on December 7th, around 8pm. this shipment marks the initiation of crude supplies for the refinery’s operations.
The refinery is now set to begin petroleum product deliveries as downstream companies lines up for supply
Myhusband: if this report is true then Tinubu is overrated, Chicago university should be ashamed of him for producing such a mediocre man as one of their acclaimed best student
I mean what are ministries of finance and budget doing with that exorbitant designate budget when ministry of works, power, education, social welfare and health are at the back, I guess these are the ministries Tinubu want to do his deal
Absolute nonsense
Instead of politely asking questions....you just wail like an illiterate... those figures includes debt servicing which is done by those ministries.. alot of federal workers under the IPPIS scheme get paid through the ministry.. Arrears, gratuities and the rest...where do you think they come from?
The budget seems balanced.. It is the implementation that any should be worried about
The military ought to be more professional than this..
The fact that they have drones that can wipe out 100 lives iin one strike is commendable thanks to bubu... They need to work on their intelligence to ensure they are used on the right target
