Before i start to invalidate your post let me mention i believ all religions are baseless and should be discarded away with. Humans should focus more on science and technological development rather than fantasies.
Now, first and foremost, all religions have a history of violence, i would forgive your nativity for thinking violence is synonymous with Islam alone. Go back to the early days of Christianity and you would stumble upon the holy wars of the Christians crusaders, they were charged with fighting for God , killing unbelievers and burning supposed witches and blasphemous people alive, infact during the early days of protestant Christianity, catholics where ordered to kill protestant...much earlier than than we have the Northern Irish troubles, were catholics and protestant were at jungle necks with one another. bombs went off like fireworks..people died fighting each other over ones religious identity..and much earlier we had the Joshep kony issue, the man was a christian religious lunatic who waged war in Northern Uganda under the intention of implementing the 10 combandments and strick interpretation of the old testerment. We must first admit in our heart that creation and our being is beyond what an imperfect man can put together. After scaling the hurdle of consciousness of a supernatural being, our next inquisition should be narrowed to who he is and how he can be known.

The repeated story about a particular Refugee Camp in Darker Senegal has left me with the thinking that some persons may have actually fallen victim to this professional, sorry non-professional, fraudsters. Contrary to my feeling that they should have at least changed this line of story, especially as I never gave it even a 1% believe, the same story has remained unedited for several years. Indeed it may have proved a very lucrative story for them. This has formed my desire to discuss the ugly and regular experience.

Below is the format of this regular mail:
“I am Miss ABC XYZ from Sudan/Liberia/Zambia/etc but presently residing in a Refugee Camp here in Darker, Senegal as a result of a war that broke out in my country. The camp is headed by Rev Fr this/Pastor that, whom I’m using his computer to send you this mail. My father, Dr this and that was murdered alongside my mother on a cold blood by the rebels. My Dad had so so million dollars in so so bank, which I’m the next of kin. The bank has requested that I get a foreign partner before I can claim the money. …”

Every of such mails usually come with beautiful pictures and flowers attached, especially if you have replied for the first time.
Although my research has shown that some persons began to get this story since around 2005, my first encounter with them was in July 2011; and ever since then, it has become a recurring decimal. Out of curiosity then, I played along very well until I was able to find all that is findable.

After that first encounter, I have got to be dismissing the mail early enough. But in many occasions, I ended the conversion by leaving a strong advice for them to desist from anything 419, yet they have not stopped sending it to me. This has made me to conclude that there are several persons/groups involved, independently. Otherwise they should have noted my email address and stopped wasting their time. Before now, the story usually poured in any time you sign up with any new online account, but recently they began to initiate the story via facebook, after which they will direct you to their email. Such facebook accounts are usually deactivated few days later, if you did not reply.

Even as I am largely certain that many people do understand the untrue nature of the story right from onset, I still have some worries that their inability to change the story is a proof that some are falling prey to them. I remember during my service year in 2013 when a friend begged to use my phone to send pictures to someone. He never wanted to let me understand what he was into, but luckily to him I was quick to understand what was going on immediately I sighted his email composition, because I needed to help him do the attachment. Then I sat him down and began to tell him what he was into. That was how I saved him.

The very first thing to note is that the story is not at all close to reality; and that there is not even any refugee camp of that sort in Darker, Senegal. I have kept on wondering why they preferred Darker. Is there any spiritual attachment to the name Darker or is it the only place Nigerians won’t suspect? There must be a reason for the choice of Darker, which I wish someone could help me find out.

So my dear friends that may still encounter this unchanging story, please be aware that such is never true. Perhaps the sender may not be far away from your street here in Nigeria. Do not be tempted to believe them even if the story is modified. If you should play along with them, pray hard not to be influenced by any of their diabolic means and you begin to believe the cock and bull story, and start revealing your personal information such as bank details or any form of password. You can equally remind them of the great reward of eternal damnation for the 419ners.

"(The) Saudis are making it clear they don't want to lose market share," Richard Mallinson, an analyst at consultancy Energy Aspects, told the Reuters Global Oil Forum.

Saudi Arabia and other rich Gulf producers last week blocked proposals from poorer OPEC members, such as Venezuela and Algeria, to cut output to support oil prices, which have plummeted by over a third since June.

OPEC sources have said Saudi Oil Minister Ali al-Naimi told the OPEC ministerial meeting behind closed doors that OPEC should defend its market share, because production cuts would only boost rival producers, including U.S. shale oil companies.

According to the sources, Naimi did not give any indication how far prices would need to fall for Saudi Arabia to consider cutting production.

Oil prices have been volatile since the OPEC meeting and are down around 40 percent since June. On Thursday, Brent crude fell, trading below $70 per barrel. [O/R]

Aramco cut the January price for its Arab Light grade for Asian customers by $1.90 a barrel from December to a discount of $2 a barrel to the Oman/Dubai average.

The Arab Light OSP to the United States was set at a premium of $0.90 a barrel to the Argus Sour Crude Index (ASCI) for January, down 70 cents from the previous month.

Arab Light OSPs to Northwest Europe were raised by 20 cents for January from the previous month to a discount of $3.15 a barrel to the Brent Weighted Average (BWAVE).

He asked me to guess who could be calling me from London. I smiled and said uncle Wale. Meanwhile Uncle wale lives in Chicago. He started dishing out his foolishness, making up excexcuses why he is sounding differently, that hr is on the landphone and stuffs like that. I told him I understand. Its worthy to note here that our Uncle calling from London has heavy Ibadan accent whereas we r from d ijebu speaking part of Epe, Lagos. At ds point he gave out a UK mobile number that I should call him ASAP that he had some information for me, I told him no P.
He waited for 2 days he didn't hear from me, so uncle from London decided to call back, he was on d offensive "kazeem I asked u to call me for 2 days now I have not heard from u" . so I fired back at him, sir why r u also like ds? For almost 2 months u asked me to help u clear ur container loads, 3 honda civc saloon cars I have used my personal funds to clear one with d hope of getting a buyer in time to clear d remaining cars, now no buyer, my money tied down d clearing agent u introduced me to has not been nice either. So what do I do now? Uncle from London got confused and gave me another mobile number in Nigeria, belonging to mr fred a licensed clearing agent. Mr fred will assist me clear d remaining cars. I answered ok sir but I won't release those cars to mr Fred if my over 300k that I used to clear d first car is not paid. Now uncle from London seem interested in thise phony cars and his making arrangement to wire me d cash. He wants me to hand everything over to Fred. Fred and uncle from London no dey gree my fone rest again. Bush meat dey catch hunter. That awkward moment wen mugu become master...lol
