Let's narrow down to the depiction of the name in the English bible which were are familiar with. Is Jesus easier to pronounce compare to Yeshua? The original name of Jesus is Yeshua, same as Joshua. So why did they leave one Joshua in the bible and created a Jesus? An argument put forward was that they were trying to distinguish Joshua the one who led Israel into Canaan from the Joshua the messiah, the question is what were they calling him until 1524? When did they realize there was confusion with the two Joshua? I'm only asking question cos many of you just accept things the way you see them.

You can keep holding on to straw as religion demands, but that does not stop non-religious people from seeking answers to academic question.

If, for example, Jesus were alive today and a Bible writer wrote about him and mentioned the names of notable persons that were ruling e.g, Buhari and Sanwoolu and where they ruled and the dates they ruled and some important events that happened during their rulership

It's completely possible to make up fictional characters, and introduce them into the society. The "under sentencing" means that the person is still serving his jail term. For instance, Hushpuppy is under the sentence of a court. Obasanjo is not under the sentence of a court.

Now, in 1999 the case of Obasanjo v Falae went to the supreme court during the election tribunal. The petitioner at the court of Appeal asked the tribunal to declare that Obasanjo was not qualified to contest because he has not stayed out of Prison for up to 10 years after his conviction. The court held that Obasanjo was eligible to contest because he was pardoned and being pardoned gives the effect of not being convicted.

Being under the sentence of a court means that you were sentenced to court for let's say 10 years and it's only 5 years into your jail term. When you've completed your punishment/sentencing/jail term, the subsection you quoted cannot disqualify you anymore. What can disqualify you is that it's still within 10 years since you completed your sentencing which is the next subsection.
