Politics / Re: Tinubu @ 71: Peter Obi Refuses To Congratulate Tinubu by PointB: 8:21am On Mar 30, 2023
bablon20:
It's no longer a news that the President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu celebrated his 71st birthday yesterday. While he was out of the country Bola Tinubu has opted for prayer instead of his annual birthday colloquium.

Dignitaries and politicians all over the political sphere have sent him congratulatory messages and good wishes on his birthday but there are some notable politicians whose names were missing on the list of the well-wishers and one of these names is that of Peter Obi of the Labour Party.

His reason for keeping mute might not be far from the outcome of the just concluded presidential election where he claimed his mandate was stolen by the president elect Bola Tinubu. Among the notable politicians who refused to congratulate BAT on his 71st are Atiku, Sowore, Datti, Kwankwanso and many more from the opposition parties.

Tinubu has no real birthday.

He's birthday is fake; a concoction.

Going by the information provided here, the current Bola A. Tinubu is an identity thief..

I wonder what could have happened to the original Bola A. Tinubu. Could she still be alive? Could she ever be found?

Bottom line is that Tinubu cannot be president. These are to weighty for any judge to ignore.

i will become an agbero kiss kiss

if you know, you know wink

You mean you will become a political rascal?

You know there are three prominent model of Political Rascality:

1. MC Oluomo Model

You hit the street with thugs, to attack your friends, brothers, and sisters, who are not voting your party. There is the risk of being bloodied by targets.

2. Bayo Onanuga Model
You will become the voice and face of tribalism and xenophobia, making enemies home and abroad. ICC might just be lurking in the corner for you, if some people take your voice too seriously.

3. Fani Kayode
For pittance, you will be ready to insult your parent, wife, children, and diplomat for your principal. The day you stop, you will go hungry or be threatened with jail.

Choose your path wisely.

Why can't elections be overturned. It is simple logic. As long as the process involved was shady, then it has to be overturned.

The reason why we haven't witnessed such before is because pdp was the ruling party, the apc came and worsened things up.

Both parties follow the same principles that's why.

This election will be overturned. There are several basis and multiple interest at play. It won't stand. Fear not.

Luckily for me, and sadly for coup-sympathising sore losers like you, I don't have to run around ranting and raving to get my point across: the government needs to enforce the laws on its books, particularly the ones focused on attempts to illegally overthrow said government. From the amount of wasted effort you've put into justifying these criminals, odds are you're one of them, and hopefully you'll soon be joining the other lawless creatures behind bars where you all belong.

What is "iink"? You can't even take the time to spellcheck, yet you feel qualified to lecture me on reading a link!

The laws on sedition do not care how " justifiably angry" or "disenfranchised" some embittered internet ranter may feel the agitators to be. Calling for a coup is a crime against the laws of Nigeria. See

https://journals.unizik.edu.ng/index.php/lrj/article/download/52/52/106

or

https://jurist.ng/criminal_code_act/sec-51

which says

Moving on ...

And now you reveal yourself to be nothing but yet another semi-literate with no understanding whatsoever of the law. Individuals don't prosecute criminal cases, the government does - and yes, government prosecution of these idiotic criminals is precisely what I've been calling for.

Again you failed to read your own text.

These are group of protesters. The text from the section you posted said 'person' The law has the choice to include group of persons. But some reason, it failed to do so.

You're free to start a one man protest to arrest the protesters for sedition, since you know more than the writer of the law you so quoted, Mr. Full Literate.

What a ridiculous non-sequitur. Standing in front of a barracks and begging the soldiers to seize power is as overt an act of sedition as it gets! Did you stop for even a moment and think before typing out that nonsense?

Think? I posted your link back to you, Obviously, you didn't even read the iink you posted.

Not all seditious act requires prosecution, much less that of justifiably angry, disenfranchised protesters.

If you feel they have broken the law, maybe you need get off your arse and go to court. Your emotional pouting count for nothing.

Some of these actions may be criminal, but none are treasonous (and ethnic bigotry, while vile, isn't even criminal).

Unfortunately for them, what you doubt or believe has nothing to do with it. Agitating for the military to overthrow a democratically-elected government is the textbook definition of sedition, and which is a criminal act in any country.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sedition

These agitators need to be immediately arrested, tried and sentenced to long jail terms. Nigeria has suffered enough under soldiers who believe they have the right to tell everyone else what to do at gunpoint.

Because sedition is overt, it is typically not considered a subversive act, and the overt acts that may be prosecutable under sedition laws vary from one legal code to another.

Even if a second ballot is ordered, it will still be between Tinubu and Atiku. Peter Obi has no case and will never be president of Nigeria.

Part of Obi's prayers required that votes that were illegally stripped from him be returned. When this is done, we can now start talking about who came first, second or third.

And I believe the court will disqualify the convicted drug baron, and he will be disgraced.

It says something about the laxity of the country's law enforcement that these loons not only openly agitated for such an act of treason, but they also allowed themselves to be filmed in the course of it, so confident were they that nobody would ever hold them to account. Calling for the violent overthrow of a democratically elected government is sedition, not some act of "free speech" that should be tolerated.

MC Oluomo was filmed, Tinubu was film asking supporters to snatch power and run away with it, bayo onanuga was brazen with his ethnic bigotry and doubled down on it when confronted. Same with FFK. So clearly no big deal.

These people calling for military rule in the protest are clearly misguided. But I doubt if they have committed treason. They are protesters.

But my point which I want to make is that we all diminish this country when we actually exaggerate what happens. We have an election where you have this number of polling units and you have less than 1 per cent that have a problem and we now make it look like that 1 per cent is more important than the 99 per cent.

He said he doesn't know the fact, but he's allocating 1% and 99%. From which data is he pulling those from? grin grin

Yes we did, i remember. just today Obike Air launched and went live and he emphasized his headquarters and base will be in Anambra. The campaign to invest in the east is getting some real traction at the moment.

That's impressive, it's important to cite headquarters of such businesses in the East.

Yet, as Lagos is a commercial capital, we cannot shy away from it's market, until critical factors such as Air and Sea Port change fundamentally. So the idea of relocating everything to the East is not really to work. Business go where market is, and Nigeria, especially Lagos is a big market.

Balogun market has been in existence since the 1800's. Long before Ur kindred started moving to Lagos in the 1990s after watching Nollywood film.

Let's just pretend it's just Igbo that are trading there. It will make some people happy. Hopefully, they will go and burn another market, to 'hurt' Igbos.
