Pls can you tell me why u don’t advise someone going for professional masters? Cox i was planning on going for it but due to the situation had to pause, pls shed more light
Professional Masters limits you. The qualification is not acceptable for lecturing/Research positions. You may likely do a project instead of an academic research which is publishable in reputable international journals and presentable in conferences. This is where you meet people that matter in your field.
Good research can qualify you for grant, PhD scholarship etc.
Professional Masters is fast, can be completed in a year but it will limit you.
EducationRe: Does A Masters Degree Guarantee Jobs? by Polchiz(m): 2:01pm On May 05, 2020
Please go for your M.SC (not professional masters) if you have the means. Most multinationals and banks recently (I know of Ecobank) now includes M.SC. as requirements for even Trainee positions.
It equally prepares you for opportunities in Academia and international NGOs.
Most importantly, don't go for Masters degree for the purpose of getting a job only but do it with the best of your abilities and learn new skills and ideas in your field.
If you can come up with a ground-breaking research in your field, that alone can take you places.
Yes, in Nigeria you can succeed without connections if you know what you are doing.

they are not exploiting they are paying according to living standards and local salary rates

for example: you dont expect heineken to pay 33k euros equivalent to entry staff in Nigeria when they arent making lot of money here, if they have to pay that to every entry staff in Nigeria, they will close shop.
Please edit your post that still shows the salary breakdown or do you hate this young man.

But this is more than 8.7 million, you claimed they gave you 8.700.000 but i am guessed you wanted to add more allowances to butress you claim

after calculating the total allowances, it falls at 8,741,541

what does others means, since you didnt want to mention others, so i thought, it must be a different huge allowances which might bring the total package to almost 9.000.000

anyway lot of inconsistencies in your story
Please edit your post so that the OP cannot be traced.

I can see you are over excited or naive about your new job that's why you are putting out sensitive information that your colleagues shouldn't even see talkless of the general public.

You have breached the Confidentiality of Information oath you swore to and you will be severely punished for this.
Which labour law are you quoting?
Your lawyer and family members can have access to your appointment letter. It is not a secret document my dear.

You advised him and he followed your advice.
He didn't reveal his name or the name of the organization. Also, he didn't upload any official document.
Why do you think he deserves to be punished?

So God allowed you to prophesy so that he can show himself by later reversing it the moment ihedioha comes to meet you? Like God doesn't have work to do and asking ihedioha to come to adoration ministry is his major preoccupation? Now I know why people call some of these pastors derogatory names like idiot, Scammer, fraudster and the likes. Y'all truly manifest the names the heathen call you...lol.
God Almighty is merciful. The prophecy came that Hezekiah would die and he prayed for longevity and God showed him mercy and added more years to him.

Do not confuse personal statement with prophecy. Rev. Fr. Mbaka never claimed that the Holy Spirit ministered to him neither was it a prophecy.

Newbie, I am not your guy tongue

Negative comments about Marvel’s lies, about Ladan & Shakur’s slot trading. DPR management staff cornering slots like its an entitlement in addition to their enormous salaries. Negative comments that getting into DPR was a mirage if we didn’t arise and contend for it. The children of the masses are still here waiting, so far so good have I been right?

Learn when to keep quiet rather than allow people to see ignorance and idiocy spill from very orifice of your body. Over the course of this recruitment, I have learnt a new skill, completed two professional certifications, gotten another academic degree and I am in the process of transiting to a better job for the second time. You are coming to tell others to move on, like they are standing on your head. slow poke grin

Lol dimwit
Congratulations on your achievements so far. I was equally blessed with a job that pays twice that of DPR.
I have moved on long ago.
It is heart breaking that jobs in a sensitive and crucial parastatal like DPR are freely given to undeserved graduates like Christmas gift.
It is just a matter of time and the government job market will suffer negative feedback. When that happens, everybody will pay the ultimate price.
I'm chilling in my hotel room after an induction process in my new organization.

The thing about banking industry is that you would work so hard and wish you didn't get the job in the first place. Yes the pay is friendly and motivating but the stress no be here o.
Do you want them to pay you for doing nothing? Every good thing does not come cheap.Even entrepreneurs wake as early as 6am and even do night vigil in order to have competitive edge over others.
Absorb the stress now that you are young, make the money, invest and rest at old age.

Well, I've been in similar situations and to be honest, it's not funny. My issue is with you doing nothing for two years. Two years?!?!?!?! shocked Honestly, that's not a nice thing to hear/read. How do you cope during this period? Also, I read that you like the oil and gas industry. Well, no problem with your predilection but the industry is highly competitive and the best of the best compete to get a foot into the sector especially at the entry level stage. Another thing is that people rarely leave the industry to other industries and as a result, you would find persons working in one company or different companies within the industry for a decade or three decades sef! An example is the Head of Total Exploration Nigeria. The man has been with Total since his NYSC in the late '80s! So inasmuch as there are opportunities here and there, the competition is fierce. Seplat that her recruitment this time two years ago had over 42, 000+ applicants for less than 30 slots and some of the applicants I met were exceptional. Some schooled at the best of institutions, one even studied all through his life in the UK and lots of first class everywhere. I implore you to try other sectors provided you fulfil the requirements.

Furthermore, instead of staying at home doing nothing, I advise you find a way or ways to raise money for next year's Stutern's Graduate Accelerator Program for opportunities in the IT industry. Why I'm suggesting this is because the tech industry is egalitarian; no one cares about what and where you studied, and your grades. I know things aren't easy but you need to do something in the mean time which can change your trajectory for the better. Meanwhile, you can keep trying regarding job applications (your CV and cover letter being on point) and know your aptitude tests skills very well. Just know that it's highly competitive out there and these companies can afford to be very picky and select only the best of the best. Last year's PwC's recruitment had ~76, 000 applications for less than 200 slots. grin. So you see?

Cc: Efe42
Well said, a multinational company that I know employed only 12 people across different roles for entry level (management trainee) position. Also, Masters degree is compulsory.
The competition is very high.
