The King of Isreal was a position originally meant for God and it was God’s and His alone to appoint and give as he deemed fit. hence David’s inaction.

When Jacob stole Esau’s blessing from their father, what did their father say was the solution?

“....But it shall come about when you become restless, That you will break his yoke from your neck”

And don’t forget that same God put in place the law “whatever a man sow he shall reap” still said “Do not steal”. Meaning the man’s harvest can be stolen wink
My point is that there is a limit to man's effort. For instance, you cannot fight people in position of authority (Kings, directors, president and ministers).
The King's heart is in the hand of the Lord; he directs it like a watercourse wherever he pleases (Prov 21:1).
You didn't fight them before you were shortlisted for test and interview. Those who didn't make it to the interview may know how to fight better than you.

By strength shall no man prevail. The God's anointed, David never fought Saul for the throne. At God's appointed time, Saul committed suicide and gave way.

So you have accepted that Atikuloot has lost his home region NE to Buhari, what a pity! Now, you think NC win fot Atikuloot will cancel NE votes of Buhari. Wake up from sleep. Buhari already won Kwara which is patt of NC. Buhari has won Kogi too which is NC. Buhari is winning Niger. Atikuloot can have Benue, Plateau and Nassarawa. That makes it 50/50 in NC. So, how will Atikuloot neutralize his lost in NE? Better start preparing your mind. Atikuloot stands no chance against Buhari.
Plateau, Taraba and adamawa are for Atiku.

Central and Northern Kaduna is a whole ball game entirely. Buhari will likely win there. Atiku just needs to reduce the margin substantially
Don't be so sure my dear. People voted massively for PDP here in Zaria.

If Atiku lose the SW the way GEJ did, they will abuse the hell out of you guys that you sold out the rest of the South as if you had an MOU with them. If it turns the other way and Atiku wins the SW, they will still mock you and say you sabotaged Buhari's re-election because you are 'traitors' or tell you how the Igbos dominate every state in the West and their votes made Atiku win in the SW

This is not true. Yorubas are intelligent.
They want to unite with the rest of the south.
Believe me, the entire south will support any yoruba candidate in the future. However, if they unite with the North and vote massively for APC, then power will remain in the North for at least 16 years.

Your IQ is definately below 50 if you don't understand the meaning of the word 'value'. Granted, he failed to keep his promise, but making the value of Naira means the purchasing power, not $1 to 1NGN
Who is your economics teacher? You even have to insult someone else while you were busy advertising your ignorance?

The value of money is what money can buy i. e. the purchasing power which is the same as making $1=N1.

If you buy a loaf of bread at $1 and you can do the same with N1, then $1 is equal in value to N1 ($1=N1).

Before i begin the Gist, lemme start by saying "Happy New Year to All NLanders! Wishing You All a Fruitfull and Productive 2019!"

I have joined Nl for quite a while now but i started taking it seriously when i got out of the Uni. Nl encouraged me through some posts to be serious and active with my LinkedIn account. From here, i got a special somebori @intelligentdude (not boyfriend ooo) that helped me profesionally create a CV for my jobhunting experience. Yes, Your Cv and cover letter goes a long way too. I never for once got rejected anywhere i submitted my CV + Cover letter but that's by the way. I Was active on the job/vacancies section here on NL and applied for jobs (excluding bank jobs tho). I also got past questions from here as well, some i bought, some i didn't buy grin. So i applied to a Graduate Trainee Job in an Oil firm as a Customer Relations Officer and after so much waiting, coupled with the Grace and Favour from God, i finally Got the job and i came here to say Thank You to NL and all the amazing people who continually post jobs on these platform, i am really greatful and also to the owner of NairaLand of course. May the Almighty God continually bless and increase all of you for impacting people's lives daily. Thank You Very Much! I also met a wonderful friend here on Nl, he has been a blessing to me as well. In other words, Nairaland is not totally useless like many think, it is what u make of it at the end of the day, Stay Focused and Positive!

You might be wondering why i am writing this and talking plenty but that's because you don't know how it feels to be jobless and you dont know what it means to be favoured out of many. Just like the story of the 10 lepers, i have come to say Thank You to this FORUM! For those who are still hoping to get employed someday, just hold on, you will share your testimony too. Continue applying and make sure you are doing it right, God's Grace will see you through some day. Dont Give Up, God is not done yet! it wasn't easy for me, there were days where i cried, some days i gave up, some days i felt depressed but i never lost faith and confidence in God. Against All Odds, i believed in myself and i believed in God.

Don't be idle if you don't have a job yet, get or learn a skill like tailoring, shoemaking etc and still be applying for jobs because one thing is to learn a skill and the other thing is to fund your business but just get a skill on standby and God will see you through.

Thank You Nairaland and Nairalanders!!!!!!!!! kiss kiss kiss kiss
Congratulations!!!

Hey bro,

Kindly re-read my comment you quoted.
Now read yours again and tell me if there's any relationship with the two? Cos I can't find any.

We are saying two different things!! You didn't have to quote me.

Now I reiterate my point: If making money (legitimately) is your priority, you definitely need to be educated but you don't necessarily need to have a degree of any sort/formal education to achieve that. This is 2019 for crying out loud.

I hope this is clearer? Thanks. smiley
Poor analogy! How do people get degrees without education?

BTW, I started by acknowledging that you are correct and then took my time to draw your attention to the importance of education.

Let me help you :

People who don't have degrees also make money legitimately.

Go back to your village, find a swampy parcel of land and start growing fruits and vegetables on a medium to large scale, supply your farm products to local markets, and within 2-3 years you would be smiling on your way to and from your bank, own your own car and foundation of your own house laid. I know a UK returnee (my own sibling) with two masters degrees - one from Germany and another from UK - who did precisely what I described above. Five years into this business, he’s diversified and is currently living big. Take it or leave it. Shalom.
The UK returnee used the knowledge he gained to take his business to that level. Also, many people have done what he did and did not succeed.
Psalm 25:12: The man that fears God; him will He show the path that is chosen for him.

There is a path chosen for every man. Try your best to discover it so that you can make a notable impact in your generation.

Hello, just felt I should interject that getting a degree is not synonymous with making money legitimately. They are mutually exclusive.

The earlier people get this, the better.
You are right but the knowledge acquired from getting degree is the reason you have a business or anything .

Imagine a world without Doctors, engineers, scientists and the rest.

Tell me anything that can survive without these guys. Starting from the clothes you wear to your shoes and even the food you ate this morning.

Just tell me how man will not return to primitive days without education.

Wish OP would take this advice. It would be better if I had invested the money I spent on MSC on biz.

MSc doesnt really guarantee job anymore, especially if you're getting to 30+ of age.
I am sure the word "destiny " does not exist in your dictionary. You actually think that everybody is fighting for just survival.

Why is it that Africans always reduce everything to naira and kobo?

The guy wants to pursue postgraduate program which will prepare him for future opportunities in the academic field.

He will carry out quality research that will positively affect the way of life of people around the world and most importantly address pressing issues in the society.

By the grace of God, he will impact knowledge to our children who will become undergraduates in the future.

Among others!

While I have respect for people in the business world, everybody must not be a business man.

If we continue to tell people that all that matters in life is money, Africa will remain in perpetual darkness.

Finally, people get job with masters even at the age of 50? Yes you heared me! At age 50 you can still get a good job.

A lot of people just went to school to waste their time, they didn't learn how to reason deductively. I have said this several times, anybody with access to serial numbers of interviewed candidates can come up with the list just by selecting 300+ numbers. And its simple probability that our of the 300+ some of the candidates will definitely get called for APL collection. It's that simple, but a lot of people just don't reason at all. It makes me ponder on how they even got themselves degrees. Naija graduates grin it is well.
Check my previous posts were I stated that the list is not authentic and just like your case I was attacked.
Anyway, let us continue to pray for the mercy of God so that we will get the job eventually.

You are the one who lacks logic seeing as you are being illogical and emotional. Who is talking about football here? I am giving you illustration of situations where several cultures bear the same name but are actually different but you shut out your brain and fail to understand. That somebody is named Uche does not mean he is Igbo.

The only economically successful landlocked countries are in Europe. Do you know what they have in common? They are in excellent terms with the neighbors that surround them. Good luck with a landlocked Biafra igboland that would be surrounded by people who don't want you.
Lol! People who don't want Igbos but always attach Igbo name in their names.
Keep fooling yourselves.
Just as I said, I don't expect you to understand the technical meaning of the word "landlocked ".

Sanchez is a name answered by both Portuguese and Spanish people. Does that mean the two cultures are the same?

Until you understand this, you will keep spilling trash. Get your landlocked Biafra and stay there.

Only Anambra people are caught with drugs in Asia. You can go do your research. Such crimes are uniquely your forte.
You are simply an illogical person. I'm analysing a Nigerian situation and you are busy calling Sanchez like an irresponsible street guy who spend all his life watching football game. I'm sure you don't understand the technical meaning of the word "landlocked " and when you do, you will understand that many countries which are supposedly landlocked are by far economically better than Nigeria.

Dont be a fool. That Spanish and Portuguese people answer similar or same names does not mean they are the same. What is the meaning of Esogbue, Ikatula, Ossai and Ochiotu in your Igbo language? Stop doing attache by force.
You are mad! They are the ones attaching themselves to Igbos.
How dare you bear Igbo names, speak the language and exhibit Igbo culture and yet you are not Igbo? When you feel the circumstances favor the igbos, you are not Igbo and you will suddenly become Igbo when the circumstances put the Igbo nation in shame.

Idiots like you will undoubtedly call him an Igbo man if he was caught with cocaine in a foreign country.

Of course, he will suddenly become a first class Igbo man if EFCC finds him guilty of financial embezzlement. Nincompoop like you will surely claim that igbos would do anything for money.

If this same Uche Secondus commits a crime in the North, he becomes Igbo automatically and every well meaning Igbo man will pay for his crime, sometimes with their lives.

Goodluck Ebele Jonathan is not Igbo but the igbos were the ones that were attacked in the North when he emerged president. Why did he attach "Ebele" in his name when there are "Segun", Muhammad and the rest?

It is high time the Niger Deltans find a popular tribal name for themselves and stop mimicking igbos when the conditions are favourable for them.

Sometimes we shld, I think, take some information being shared here beyond the circumference of this ongoing recruitment.
You still do not get it. Our focus here is dpr recruitment. Almost every agency in Nigeria do underground recruitment. If all there is to getting a job at DPR is via nepotism (of course that is what attending the conference is all about) why would DPR make innocent Nigerians waste their time and resources to apply, go for the interview and keep waiting endlessly to no avail?
Even if they must advertise, they should have just secretly selected their favorite candidates whom by virtue of attending conference to network and get connected have earned them added advantage.
I wonder how many conferences Mr. Ladan attended before he was employed by dpr in 1987. He benefitted from a country that was transparent and rewarded hard work but cannot allow us enjoy the same benefit in our time.

We are already paying for our sins in Nigeria:
1.Your politicians cannot receive medical care in Nigeria because they know how the so called Nigerian doctors got admission and eventually become doctors.
2. Our refineries are dead because the people there got there by mere connection and /or attending conference
3. Families pay through their nose in private schools because the teachers in government schools got their jobs through nepotism
4. We import virtually every thing and pay through our nose
5. Our research institutes are in comatose because even people who cannot write a simple letter have miraculously become researchers
6. And so on
It is only in this part of the world that people support evil and are proud of it.
Sincerely, I cannot imagine the crowd in the conference premises if about 3100 candidates heed to this advice and attend the conference.

This is a faceless forum and therefore it is wrong to swallow every information here. I still believe that Mr. Ladan and his team will not stoop this low. Also, I still believe that some candidates here will get the job on merit. However, Mr. Ladan might have wanted to do the right thing but more powerful people compelled him to do otherwise. Unfortunately, he is the one that his image has been soiled if the information contained herein is true.

Please Madam Xtruzz, I thank you for your efforts so far and also for letting the cat out of the bag. However, advice Mr. Director to teach his management how to do it the Nigerian (evil) way absolutely so that those who don't have connections would not waste their time in future recruitments.
May he never forget posterity because thousands of kids yet unborn will here from their parents how one Mr. Ladan handled dpr recruitment.

I also want to advise young Nigerians to stop taking their studies serious and spend more time attending conference and building connection because that is the easier way to succeed in Nigeria. Nobody gives a damn about what you know but who you know.
In the nearest future we will see what the country would become.

Those who merited this job but didn't get it because of nepotism will still find something worthwhile to do with their lives. I advise them to take a deep breath and talk to their God. Yes I believe strongly in supremacy of God Almighty. Then ask him to direct your steps to the next direction.

In life when you have exploited all the potentials inherent in you to achieve something the noble way and yet you failed, God Almighty may be creating an alternative pathway for you. Just pray that you discover it and then fall into the right track full of energy and enthusiasm.

Till next year !!!
