EducationRe: Odusami AJibola-Mathew, UNILAG Student Dies While Playing Football With Friends by policy12: 9:16pm On Jul 10, 2016
I remember an incident that happened like this far back in 2003 June 12 to be when my cousin was playing football and he also slumped and died. Since then life means nothing to me..

R. I. P to the dead and my late cousin Ibrahim Akodu Olanrewju.

I dedicate this write up to the dead and we the living knowing full well..

A day beckon when u will no longer exist
Even as our name won't longer be on life list
A day friends and families we try to wake
But the cake of life we can't bake
When my meal will be serve,
And all I have labour will be preserve.

Though I live as I own the world
Little did I know my stories will be told
When am gone..a friend will dial my phone,
Dead, buried and gone.
A journey to an unknown world and ferry with a new being.

Imagine a world without me and u,
Imagine that beautiful home without you,
Imagine all u labour for been share by families members you don't even know,
Imagine ur certificate Lying useless in your briefcase
Imagine the stage of the living without ur acts,
Imagine the script without ur role
Imagine the song without ur theme,
Imagine the rhythms without ur beats,
Imagine the lyrics of life without ur words,
Imagine letters of life's without ur pen.

Imagine facebook without ur likes and login,
Imagine instagram without ur pics,
Imagine twitter without ur tweets,
Imagine Julia without ur orders,
Imagine a nairaland without ur comments.

Imagine ur bed without ur body,
Imagine ur mirror without ur image,
Imagine laughter without ur jokes,
Imagine ur treasures without ur takes
Alas who told u we owns the world?

Little wonder a wise king once said vanity upon vanity all is vanity, sometime ago a world was without me and you..in some few yrs to come there will be a world without me or u.

Will the world pause if my heart pulse cease?
When my breath cease will the fun also cease?
Will men still hustle, when I stop living?
How will the look like without my presence?

When I finish telling my stories,
Will I ever wear the crown of glory,
Where there will be testimony without mourning,
Tears without fear, where lies gain without pain and the stars without scars.

Every moment I live it become clearer to me that am just a passer by in this world,
So no matter the lengthy of yrs I spent I must leave,
For both great and small av come and gone,
If only I realise that am only on a journey and soon I will return home may be the better for me.

Will you blame the white men, when the so called leaders sorry looters of Africa have refuse to see anything good in developing the continent. Let ask ourselves and be truthful to each other has anything change? Now everyday we read hw African are migrating from the continent to Europe for green pastures since nothing has change.

To me let blame our leaders first before will blame the white. Imagine a country like naija don't be surprise if it's still the British that is ruling us there is tendency we won't be talking about issues of basic need again, but here we are after 56yrs and 100yrs of almgamation we are not there yet.

PoliticsMore Details Emerge On Nigeria Chief Of Army Staff General Buratai’s Dubai Prope by policy12(op): 8:14pm On Jul 09, 2016
ongoing investigation by SaharaReporters into properties acquired in Dubai by Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Tukur Buratai, has revealed more details about the officer’s real estate acquisitions estimated at N160 million at the minimum. Our investigators found out that, when not occupied by General Buratai or members of his family, the units he acquired in Dubai are rented out to guests for as much as $500 a night.

Earlier investigative reports by SaharaReporters found that, as the Director of Procurement at the Defense Headquarters, General Buratai diverted funds meant for the purchase of vehicles and motorcycles for Nigerian troops involved in the fight against Boko Haram terrorists. Our reliable sources in the military revealed that the COAS colluded with a front, a businessman, to procure used vehicles that were in such bad shape that they needed to be significantly refurbished before they could be used.

Documents obtained by our investigators showed that, on January 13th, 2013, General Buratai reached an agreement to purchase unit “2711” at the TGF Marina Hotel. Our investigative team found that the purchase, which the COAS claimed was an investment through the “Project TFG Marina Hotel,” was completely paid for in one transaction. Eventually, the TGF Marina changed its name to “The Wyndham Dubai Marina.”

Our latest investigations reveal that General Buratai paid The First Group Real Estate for his first real estate acquisition through a Skye Bank account in Nigeria.

General Buratai purchased the second apartment days after becoming the Chief of Army Staff through a Skye Bank account as well. However, this time, he used an army officer, Major Emmanuel G. Adegbola of the Nigerian Army Finance Corps (N/10808), to make several deposits for the second Dubai real estate purchase.

Military sources told SaharaReporters that the COAS stole the funds from Nigerian Army Accounts. One source said it was a well-known practice for senior army officers to use their subordinate officers to pilfer defense funds, adding that the practice took root during the administration of ex-President Goodluck Jonathan. Numerous military chiefs who served under Mr. Jonathan have been indicted for corruption and are facing trial.

Major Adegbola’s payments into the TFG Sigma 111 account in Nigeria (Skye Bank 1770380452) show that, between July 24 and August 17, 2015, General Buratai paid a total sum of N42.2 million to the company.

Documents obtained exclusively by SaharaReporters reveal that, through Major Adegbola, General Buratai paid N10 million on July 24 and N10 million on August 7, 2015. Three later, the COAS paid another N10 million for the property, with the telephone number on the Skye Bank teller reading as 08033349740. The phone number belongs to Major Adegbola. Again on August 17, 2015, the Chief of Army Staff paid N3.2 million into the account.

The First Group, which sold the Dubai properties to General Buratai, is a UK real estate development company, but with many international offices, including ones in Abuja, Lagos, and Ghana. On its website, TFG offers potential clients the opportunity to be part of the company’s “exclusive investment property owners’ club” where TFG will “provide you with much more than amazing real estate and lucrative returns.” The site adds that “ownership with us gives you instant membership to our prestigious club and access to a world of exciting rewards and privileges, from fast cash returns and investment property credit to fully paid Dubai holidays.”

In addition to these enticing offers, TFG also offers clients a copy of their Hotel Investment Guide for Dubai. According to the investment guide “one of the

PoliticsHow Fayose Associate Wired Cash Into Accounts by policy12(op): 9:56pm On Jul 08, 2016
Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose’s associate Abiodun Agbele wired N1.35billion into three accounts to pay for four of the five duplexes the governor allegedly bought in Lagos; it was learnt yesterday.

The fifth duplex, which cost about N200million, is in Abuja.

The laundering of the cash was staggered to, detectives believe, cover up the details from the prying eyes of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The EFCC uncovered the lodgments in these accounts: FCMB belonging to Siqnachor (0519693019), First Bank of Nigeria (1000070240) and Zenith Bank (1014016919) of Still Earth Limited.

But the owner of Still Earth Limited, Oyindamola Adeyemi, has told the EFCC that her company neither secured a contract from Fayose, nor offered him a kickback.

She said the governor was yet to pay the agency fees to Still Earth on the four duplexes he acquired at Tiamiyu Savage Street on Victoria Island.

The facts on how Fayose, through his detained associate Agbele, paid for the duplexes are contained in some EFCC documents.

A top source said: “The payments were effected through De-Privateer Limited, which is owned by Agbele. The governor and his associate knew that they were involved in money laundering, and they cleverly opted to stagger the funds.

“We have retrieved the list of lodgements made by De-Privateer into three accounts, including FCMB belonging to Siqnachor (0519693019), First Bank of Nigeria (1000070240) and Zenith Bank (1014016919) of Still Earth Limited.

The breakdown of some of the remittances is as follows: First Bank—N40m (29/1/15); N39.5m (30/1/15); N132.5 (30/1/ 15); N3.2m (4/2/15); N980, 000(4/2/15); N200m (17/2/15); N47m (13/2/15); N50m (13/2/15).

The lodgments in an account in Zenith Bank (1014016919) include N42.5m (9/4/15); N25m (23/4/15); and N229m (6/3/15).

Agbele, also through De-Privateer, paid N200million into the account of Siqnachor Integrated Limited in FCMB (0519693019) on March 9, 2015.

The EFCC source added: “You can see what Fayose did with state funds within the first six months in office. This is just a segment of our ongoing investigation of the governor.

“We are yet to shift focus to other areas where state funds were diverted into personal use or associates’ accounts.”

Responding to a question, the source said: “We are going ahead with Friday’s interaction with three more people on the five properties bought by the governor.”

Still Earth boss Adeyemi has said that she neither executed any contract or gave Fayose kickback.

Adeyemi, who made the clarifications against the backdrop of the affidavit of the EFCC at the Federal High Court, said her company rejected a N5billion project from Ekiti State Government in place of the agency fees on the four duplexes in Lagos.

Adeyemi said: “I didn’t do any contract, and I never gave any kickback to the governor. Fayose offered us a N5billion contract, but we were circumspect, and we rejected it.

“In fact, at the time Fayose came up with the contract idea, our company’s relationship with him had gone sour.

“Still Earth is a construction and real estate firm. They bought four chalets from us through De-Privateer Limited. It was De-Privateer that paid us. So, if anybody or company offered a kickback to the governor, it must be De-Privateer.

“I felt sad that Still Earth has been linked to the kickback when we didn’t do any project in Ekiti State.

“It may interest you to know that Still Earth is a growing concern with over N2.5bn taxable turnover, managed by a very dedicated managing director whose intimidating resume command an ovation of credit.”

She went on to talk about the company’s remarkable projects all over the country in construction, real estate, and project financing. “Still Earth has constructed over 45 kilometer road around the country, several building projects and has financed laudable projects that impact the economy of our great nation,” She said, adding:

“All these efforts put together have always been ch

Please nairalanders I want your candid advice..

It all happened in year 2010 when I was posted to Lagos for my NYSc it wasnt easy after the one year service for those who know the husling and bustling in Lagos will understand better.

After the one year service I decided to stay back in search of green pastures and as God will have it nature smile on me I got a job with multichoice company the owner of Dstv, though while serving I attended one of the Pentecostal church a very popular church here in Lagos where I met my ex.

She is one of the diligent and serious church worker and as a young man who God bless with the good things of life most of the female folks in the church wanna be with me but I go for my choice that is my ex.

When I asked her out I told I as someone in my life who I planned to marry but do to obstacle that's my fiancee mum we are having delay in getting married if she is OK we date who kno she may eventually win my heart and she said she is OK with it.

The few years we dated was fun and war from my fiancee side when she was informed that I was cheating on her, the lady I met in church was also not making life easy as she insisted that I shu drop my fiancee for her wh I opposed on the ground that she love me and despite her mum objecting to it she has proof love beyond measures this bring serious issue between the my ex and I and she furiously asked me to choose between my fiancee and her.. After weighing all options presented before I chose my fiancee.

With this the relationship with the church lady terminated. Later I started hearing she is dating a colleague of mine that we work in the same office together and tomorrow by God grace they will be getting marry to each other.

Nairalander should I attend the marriage ceremony or I shu just stay back. Imagine the play and all those stuff u think a lady and guy do behind close door that we av exhibited between me and this lady. As I type this I can't Jus imagine the same lady I pump tired like mad is the same a colleague is getting married to.

Is it OK if I attend the marriage? Guys if u are in my shoe will u attend? To the ladies if u are the lady will u love it if I attend?
