i am sorry for your experience. is there no option on the platform to make a counter complaint ?

Nigerians. anytime you stand your ground for what is right, they will always call you wicked. i really wonder how a rider can have the gall to tell a driver to buy her food.
That's the problem, complaining seems like a waste of resourceful time

She has guts though. grin
grin pardon my manner for using d word "br*t" to portray her, we get on well, she talked about her personal life and such, even ask if I can help her make transfer and she will give me cash, at a point start address me like "You don't want to help your friend abi?"... I'm just cracking smile with d mindset of knowing she's out to manipulate me, Dats r person, no point being mad at her, I just flow with her, but won't push me to d point of the unthinkable las las dropped and said I love u cheesy

Me: shall pack ur wahala and go, almost 2 hrs trip on admiralty way alone

The first rider is right. You are not meant to collect the toll you didn't pay for.
I'm happy you didn't disappoint me with the second rider. No to condom purchase when you are not the guy using it with her. No to yam purchase when you have two maids. No to food purchase when you won't even taste the food.
Boss I never said she was wrong, this is a case of logics and ignorance either from me or her part... If she have a case, she should forward it to Bolt and let them do the needful, I didn't even check to know if the app display toll gate added, all I told her is I'm going to take displayed fee... Need you know (I may b wrong), bolt do deduct 20 percentage from total fees including toll gate, Dats 60 naira, which account do you want to to bring that from?

I've seen both fair and unfair part of this hustle, I don't use saka or have the intention of cheating anyone, like I once said, I won't place myself at the receiving end to please riders (or all riders).

Boss, don't be dissuaded some riders are like that. Since you didn't go, though it cost you.

I salute your resoluteness. Your mere act has implanted an impression that not all drivers can take any kind of shitty errands.

If she encounters 5 or more drivers that display the same kind of gentle but firm refusal to degrade the partner job on e-hailing. Then it wud b d standard.

Sometimes I wonder, wat is wrong with some riders, you are not handicapped/physically challenged neither are you an invalid, yet you refuse to run your own errands.

I will write uber and Bolt a message on the need to address their riders in mails and texts on the purpose why the platform was created : ease of movement from one location to another in Lagos.

That is beyond customer service, the other day, a Lady too asks one dude here to buy her a pack of protection.

I don't think uber and bolt regularly sensitize (in mails n msgs) their riders on inappropriate behaviour towards the driver.

All I see them doing is sending messages n bonus and certain discounts to bring in more revenue.

There is a certain level of professional distance that has to b maintained, we r meeting for the first time n you start sending me to buy you food.

Bolt and Uber needs to up their game on inappropriate rider behaviour, not rating this time.
I've been following d chat here since yesterday and its kind of funny, I don't get worked up for no reason, she only try her luck but hit the rock, fact is so many drivers take nonsense and forget dia purpose, no one is doing anyone favour here, from the riders, d company and drivers, we all need each other to function, so disrespecting only shows the level of exposure and a point to where such rider is coming from, it not just about riders, but who we r.

My last 2 riders r just funny set of people, my rating have dropped so drastically, but its all good. The drag with the first was passing the toll gate when it was opened freely to all motorist, so she insist not to pay for toll gate and I made her understand, I'm meant to take what the app display. The second one went to mart to get some stuff, from dia to 2 different banks, then to get shawarma, as we r driving on she saw a local food vendor and ask me if I can cross over to get food for her... I turned to her in funny manner and ask what? She said food, I crack a smile and politely tell her no, I don't do such. I drive on and she saw another place and ask if I can help her get food nah, other drivers do help out, I'm wicked, dis dat, I'm going to get a star... It is well, this too shall pass

I just drop off a rider, can tell she's one of the best on the platform, despite her panic not to engage in traffic, the ride was still worth it... If I try to use a particular route, she will warn me about the bad road, I'll let her know, I don't mind, I've seen worst, she will convince me not to and ask will take the smooth path. I drop her of beside her car and deep within I understand why they say you can't value what you don't have.

It was one yeye Friday that 3MB was completely blocked (I think a tanker spilled its content on Otedola bridge). Was inbound island around gbagada, with an Arab rider. Noticed the car ahead of me was being robbed and everybody was just minding their business (me included). Dude walked up to my car and was about to break my window with his gun, I jejely rolled down and he said “wey your phone”, the smell of weed on him was so strong and I decided it wasn’t worth it to argue with him. He turned to my rider and asked him the for his phone too, Guy say him no get phone, the nigga raised his gun to the window.. “you want make I shoot you”? Rider started to panic, that’s when my anger kicked in. I just told him say shebi him don collect one phone, make him Dey go now, say the guy no get phone true true. At that point, the people in the car ahead of me started shouting “ole ole”. Nigga crossed over to a waiting biked and zoomed off.

My rider asked what transpired between us and I told him. He was really appreciative, said I saved his life. He was really visibly shaken. Asked if he could smoke to calm his nerve, I obliged.

Dropped him off at Saka Tinubu, guy pleasantly surprised me with $100, say make we share the loss.
Sorry boss... I pray the mighty one keeps protecting us.

This is me whenever I accept a trip.

After greetings and all

Me: please which AREA are you going?
Rider: oh... I'm going to e.g surulere, vi, ikeja, festac, etc.
It's now left for you the driver to decline or continue.

( those 400naira trip riders like that Orniblockus guy)

Me: pls which area are you going?

Rider: why are u asking? Come and pick me and you will see where I'm going.

Me: Cancel the trip
Rider: No, you cancel?
Me: drives close, park my car, carry my phone and walk to the area and cancel after 5mins.

I see no reason why a ridee should be angry if you ask for the destination of the rider. Yellow taxi will always ask? Airport taxi will ask? So why cant I ask?
It is well grin

Congratulations! Have you been to Akute via Iju ishaga road? Redemption camp? Community road? Amukoko? Alaba along Old Ojo road? If not, I hope you get what you are looking for.

Ah no go lie, life ain't fair, we just have to push through.... 3 sat ago, I took a rider to festac and there is dis way my heart use to beat if I'm going dia, my heart will be turning on it own. Luckily I pick one Olosho going to one estate off community road along ago palace way, due to the bad road, she beg me to wait for like 40 mins cos Ikeja is her final destination and she's not sure if any driver will want to go through such road to pick her... Somehow I need that Ikeja trip, since I'm about to set destination trip and call it a day/week. Waited for 1hrs plus, right in front of me, another driver came to pick her, I called her and she ask me to go cos she is not sure when she will b ready, I patiently waited for her to board the ride, she saw me and didn't even bother to say hi cheesy, or should we talk about riders that will cancel after you've arrived. I've learn to accept all dis and I don't let them get to me, one thing I'll never do is to put myself in an unnecessary bad situation to please a rider.

Pope please come and tell us how to dictate a banned somebory. grin
grin grin make una leave me o, they banned me because of him, I wasn't the one even having issue wit him... I just wasn't down with him saying someone will remain a driver forever. Right now I have a target to meet, I don't even have power for all this back and fort tug war, its a cold world out there, Every man have to watch out for his investment as long as you have you conscience intact, it makes no sense getting home at night and feel so useless cos u are working to uber/taxify standard, there's no standard in the first place, we all had our own share of bad and painful day on this job. I'll never forget that girl I carried from ikotun to magodo and she was shouting speed! Speed!! If the man leave the hotel I won't pay you, I even talk to the man when will got stuck in traffic and as well doing formula 1 on a free way, end trip saw 1k, the idiat throw 1k on me and say its her lucky day grin

Nitigriti said he will start trip and if its not favourable he won't go? I pray you don't jam rider or riders that senior you, that Ikorodu/Sango otta, you shall reach dia. You further say somethings around 8pm you don't do this or that, life is relative and will must learn to tolerate others, if yours start by 8pm (no one made the law for u), someone own starts by 6am. That's life, live and let's live
