Going by this your logic, you shouldn't have switched to uber. You should have just bought another pon-pon and trowel to give to another person to start work and be collecting rentage money.

I dig boss, I don't drive does not mean I'm sleeping, I don't intend to drive forever, I most fall back to sometime, with energy dis job consumes, one truly need time out to evaluate and strategize. Like I said pension no deh, you are as good as your last day, life is all about sacrifices if you are willing to survive, lot of guys are going into real estate now, maybe just 1 hit could fetch dem million, profit on a vessel from Lome is worth up to 300million for dose big man/Mafia in d industry, all deh ever need is just 2 transaction for d year they are OK for dat year.... So boss most time, its all about mental work not energy.

Started the day on a good note, Had my first trip inside lekki around 4:45am, fare #437, took my second trip from lekki to airport at 5am, Fare was #3700, drove to Maryland, got another trip to amuwo odofin, fare was #1500, got another trip to ikeja, was on trip when I entered the trap. There was serious traffic at fagbems, so I decided to turn back to use ago palace way. Did small one way of about 40m on that road beside fagbems and bam! Those guys just blocked me like a commando. Before I knew it I was at their office around first gate.
OC: Oga, because sey na we-we, go and bring #35000. If no be say na you, na #150000 you go pay.
I went outside, made some calls.
OC: Oga na your key be this?
Me: yes.
OC: but you go give them 3k for gate,
Me: No wahala.
Moral: don't be tempted, even if it is 2metres, it won't end well.
Las las, rider leave me find im way. Na me face am!

Baba, you, and other senior drivers and partners on this thread know that anyone that makes 10k gross in a day made ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Even if you made 10k net in a day inclusive of expenses, you made ALMOST NOTHING

His motive is to encourage people, which we all know is good. Let's just let him be. We all know 1500# fuel cannot not give you 10k, unless you're a descendant of Saka cheesy.

So just let the issue slide bros. His motive is cool(to encourage others). So let's just stick with that

I greet you sir

Make una leave this Jesusson guy, we are here to share experience and help each other and like he(Jesusson) said, he's posting he's earning to encourage the newbies. Now, pls for the sake of the newbies, share how u earn 10,700+ Uber commission of 2500 with 1500 fuel, u no gree. Why u come talk say u are here to encourage the newbies? I'm sure Dru23 and the other guyz go don see past the energetic young guy stuff wey u dey try portray here since.
I already gave up on this matter, but dia is need for clarification, points r not being tackle, all we get is where I am coming from and where I am, how about where u r going 2? Complete mute over dat. You make 10k gross per day and soh? What's the point of displaying net/gross when cost and energy can't b determine and you said its all about encourage, that ain't encouraging, but a way to make ppl see no sense in that small voice in their head.

NNPC, Civil servant push for better living and regulatory of their welfare, but anytime anyone tries to plant this seed, some one crawl from nowhere & be like kill it, its unnecessary, while uber/both keep changing policies as if the people deh are dealing with are less of human, dough! I don't blame dem, cos I am not part of dia member or accurately know what its takes to run the company, but a bit of sensitivity won't hurt.

About leaving the platform if you feel you can't meet up with change in flux... I think that is the most insensitive thing I've ever heard. We are quick to forget this work cares for you as much as your last day, no bonus, no entitlement, no pension, no experience, if you like spend 5 years on it, if you have no reasonable exit plan, you are back to zero... So for a work that takes all you time, degrade you in term of societal value and if care is not taking, your children will call you uncle, I think one deserves a beta reward when its all said and done

Note: I drive my car and only work when d spirit leads, but it burns when I see drivers on rental go through all dis #HeartFlow #LifeShouldntBeThisHard

Let me ask all of our bank managers, when bankers earn 60k - 100k monthly, do they minus their feeding from their salary?

Do they minus transport money from their salary?

So why are we minus our call card and feeding from our earnings, you are actually working to feed yourself and take care of other needs.

Meanwhile still on the hussle, it's a process at the end of the week you will smile home.
I still can't relate to what this long talk have to do with the particular question. You said you made 13k using 1500 naira fuel and you are here to help the newbies, on behalf of the newbies please explain how you manage to make 13k with 1500 fuel #Simple

I never bought fuel 30-35k.

Maximum fuel not more than 20-25 weekly, then I'm making more.

You guys are just village bully.

I don't do any other job apart from Uber. So if I'm not making money as you frustrated elders claim. I won't be with Uber.

I know I pay my weekly rental without default, AND still save 20k weekly.

pope191, when that elder Quitnotice that claim, he started with Uber from the good old days, doesn't know Uber don't post earnings with Uber commission, nobody noticed it, was totally ignored...

Xneg have warn you guys not to pay attention to me, still he quote me all the time.

I'm so sorry guys I can't reply all of you, from site engineer, to Quitnotice house agent. AND BANK MANAGERS. keep ur old career aside, your new career and job title is Uber driver.

Well let it be sha ... the young man reminds me of my younger days.. I was very business minded, made mistakes along the way ,and I learn from them.. So it is ok for him now , it is a start.. I will tell you for sure that he is a lot smarter than most drivers that work for me in past .. I think he would have use the opportunity very well that those drivers started with me didnt use.. And I also ask the young man to contact me but he didn't. At least he could have made an effort to contact me ,which is fine and too late ..those are the type of mistakes he will make and learn from ....never turn down a business offer until you hear the person talk.. And always keep business relationship open ..coz you will never know 2morrow ...have learn that the Nigerian business culture is backwards at times.
So basically let the young man roam ...if he is smart enough, he will learn and adapt..

Let me help you once again, I make 3k net after my food, phone card, and others. I make sure I save 3k everyday. That 3k is minimum, for me I'm very okay with it. At least they say little drop of water make an ocean.

3x7=21 that is the least.

Most Fridays/Saturdays/Sundays, I make between 7-10k net after food, call cards and others.

Those weekends give me 20k net easily.

Factory workers can't save this type of money, working on a site can't save you this type of money.

pope191 if working on a site didn't tell on my body, why will driving affect me so much. Its not your body it's my body leave it for me.

If you call it suffering/slavery let it be for me, it's good, it won't be like this forever.
Uncle! I am not holding you, I present facts, take it or leave it, no b fight, I know better than get into dirty argument.

You just send in 21k for 2days, put 10k aside for car owner, 6k for your minimum, are you telling me you use 5k for fueling, feeding and cards? Oya go put in more effort today just to prove a point, community go finish your food, best believe you no fit finish community food ask Oloye Saraki & Ambode... Life have a funny way of humbling one (I still believe u know beta, just pulling legs here).

Mind: I just got paid 100k with 35k balanced left last week for job done (driving), still got my side hustle about to do one as I am online still driving, yesterday I closed 12 noon on d dot after 7k on a 2k fuel (soft work), I can go on if u want... But the Yoruba's will say when tinz r working for u, u secretly cover ur blessing and b mindful.

Uncle if 3k is OK for you, we don here, drink water, calm down, since it seems you have gotten to a point you never imagined in life. Peace

Those 10 partners do not speak for all the partners on uber/bolt .. The only regret I have is hiring a crazy, bleaching, stealing manager.. But it is part of the learning curve, when you are new in a business, people will take advantage of you..
Let the young man enjoy doing what he is doing.. Uber is for young guys out there ... I support him and at least he is not robbing people out there... now if uber is slavery what do think about those people hawking stuff on the hot sun everyday, how much do you think those guys are making... am sure guys like that if given the chance to do uber.. They will jump at it with no problem ... I will rather be doing uber than hawking stuff under the hot .. Let the young man do him...
With all due respect my oga, I am not holding him, I don't even believe he is not an imposter, so I spit out my mind from a direct and general view, waiting for his response. 10 partners obviously do not speak for all, but I don't like luck, I prefer figures so I don't involve in uncalculated risk, for me a bird in hand is far worth going for an unforseen circumstances, like you will never appreciate that 1 naira in your hand until you lost it in search of 3 naira.

On hawking: I know or a pepper seller, that have been able to send her children to university and build a house using profit from what she sells, same goes for a charcoal seller. What I'm about to type is wrong to me, but let me drive my point and burst ur bubble... There is a man that hawk plantain ard first gate on lateef jakande road, when I learnt he built his house doing that, I took a second look at him, so life is relative, do yours and let other people be. Imagine what's life for someone that felt he have arrived with a daily target of 3k including his expenses, I'm not saying there is no room for improvement, but a wise soul coming from where he claimed will have some level of apprehensiveness in them and not total anticipation.

Find a better job that will feed your wife and kids, must you do Uber?

probably Uber was design for young boys starting new life, not for men with kids and 5 children.
That's d point & draft u r not getting and doesn't want to slow down to digest anything, like you have ready made answer for everyone like a programmed robot... Your minimum net is 3k huh? One man's treasure is another man's trash, if no one is stepping on you it will b absolutely wrong to step on them. But let's face it for what it worth (Public airing), folks once peg 7k/day as minimum and have a big dream up in dia head like you do wit your targets, but uber/bolt prolly due to balancing stability kept shifting & adjusting dia goals, from 7k to 6, 5, 4, now we r @ 3 which is ur minimum and a feasible angle for you to actualize your goals, like I told Fahrenz d previous reduction won't be the last, just as the latest won't b d last till your minimum get to 500 naira, you sob & think of bail out, try to air your mind and someone crawl up and tell you to get a life, you have been on the wrong job for d past 2 years and how lazy u r not to be able to multiple your 500 naira turn out to generate your 3k minimum.

Just a thought for ur soul, Imagine dat!

Once read ur post on how your are on the same level with site engineer... The next door woman sells sugar, Dangote do sell sugar as well does not mean they r on the same level, I don't do level stuffs, cos life is relative and no one knows tomorrow. Please face your hustle, if u r on a message to prove a point, best believe you can't toy with everyone intelligence, I stopped exchanging words on dis matter with peeps dat doesn't drive, but easy to say what is obtainable, maybe deh should hop into d car and drive for a week or get dia loved once to break dia back to show the whole word some ppl r just lazy.

We truly leave in a resilient country, where deh expect us to accept everything like zombies without questioning or fight back. Do a reality check and ask 10 partners about dia experience, 7/8 will tell u deh regret buying dat car for uber/bolt, so who is fooling who?

One person wil crawl out from no where now and start showing us how business is still doing fine, not knowing they don't use the best result as yard stick, but what is obtainable averagely
Am I lazy? I guess soh, left my home on Friday 6:30am work till 12 mid night, slept in the car, continue 7am the next day without bathing and close ard 11pm... What did I get? Taxify 4k bonus and surprise reduction in fare, where riders will bring out 2k, but what on the app is 1k, we shall won't beg for bread after putting up such hours for work. What is the solution to riders lying about their destination when you ask them? I usually don't ask during the day but at night I must ask because I can't go to unfamiliar places. So I picked some girls from badore, they were going to a club nearby, they could have simply walked, when I asked she said she was going to vi, I got to pick up and started trip as soon as they got in, I saw 5mins, I was like please update the destination, one of the girl was bold enough to tell me she had to lie because 3 drivers had canceled and so that's what they do when they are going on short trips? I was upset because it took me more than 15mins to locate her place and about 4km from ajar underbridge.
Be strong boss... Time will reveal how to deal wit dem, most I cancel such trip
